I was so excited to try this place. Service is great and I see their vision but they fail on execution. Never going back.

Great atmosphere. The place is nicely refurbished, clean and well decorated. The food is awesome and the drinks are great. The only thing is (and really a big drawback) that the plates are tiny. We had a party of six, ordered a bunch of plates and are now back at home having pizza. Would be better if there was a choice between small and big plates at least. Or, charge more for a plate but make sure it's bigger. read more

Upscale romantic dinner with downtown Raleigh style but conveniently nestled in downtown wake forest with out the crowd! We were able to get a valentines reservation with no problem. For Valentine's Day they did a special menu with 4 courses, including a glass of Prosecco. The atmosphere was shic and romantic and the food was fantastic! read more

We had a girls night here and it was absolutely AMAZING. The pork belly and the lamb ribs were our favorite, but honestly. Every dish we had was awesome! The fingerling potatoes with chorizo had the perfect crisp with a great sauce to give it some flavor. The gnocchi was to die for. Our waitress, Iris, was very kind and attentive. Overall, GREAT experience. read more

The service was excellent & I wish I could say the same for the food. The lamb meatballs were tasty, as well as, the crab dip. The empanada was way overcooked. As soon as we cut it to share, the crust fell away from the filling and was difficult to cut. The salad didn't have any of the ingredients in it that were listed on the menu (cranberries, blue cheese, and apples all missing). The seared tuna had absolutely no flavor, it tasted like nothing. I've never actually tasted zero flavor before, so I commend them on that. We just weren't happy with the quality of the food for the price point. Was it a $100 dinner? No, not worth it. We didn't send any food back, nor complain to the waitress, because that's not our personality. Just wanted to share our experience. read more

Food and service are extremely average, and with a $140 bill for 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer of brussel sprouts, and 2 sub par entrees, wouldn't recommend. Waitress was nice and was looking forward to trying this Wake Forest staple very much, but overall a let down. read more

Oh my god, the cocktails. The food is great, but the cocktails! The Ship Down is amazing, and so is the Empress. And the Old Cuban. Just get some drinks. read more

Great new place for drinks & tapas in downtown Wake Forest! We went with friends and shared 7 plates plus dessert which was perfect. They atmosphere is dark and hip, but a little on the noisy side for easy conversation. The favorite plate was the seared tuna. The skirt steak, guajillo shrimp and brussel sprout salad, chocolate tart were also a hit. The pequillo peppers were ok , but the portion was skimpy and it missing something to make an impact. The empanda was not worth ordering. The filling was good, but the pastry tough & hard and the portion should have been two. read more

Tonight was our first night trying Bodega. We met some friends there for my wife's birthday. Since it was a birthday visit we took a birthday cake, and boy would we pay for that later, literally!! What they did not tell us when we got there was that they charge a cake fee!! Yes a cake fee, usually 3$ person but since we had 8 people it would be a flat 20$. Just because we brought cake!! They didn't cut it, didn't serve it , just brought it out. The dinner was OK. My son and I had the "larger" steak plate which was a 6oz steak for 24$. My wife and her friends had several of the smaller Tapas options at anywhere from 9-15$ per item . Needless to say by the time we got hit with the mandatory 20% gratuity, service was OK, cake fee and the rest, the bill was massive, over 400$. If we would have known that we would have just gone to Angus Barn and left full. If a couple goes it's probably be OK, but don't go with a group. They can't , or won't split the check up you have to all give a card and split evenly or work it out. Not what we were expecting in terms of food or service. I left my phone at home on this trip so no pictures I'm afraid. read more

We went last night and were excited to try this new place based on most of the reviews. The place is very nice. We had the Brussels sprout salad, flatiron steak, bacon wrapped dates, and scallop ceviche all of which were good. The lamb ribs everyone raves about were awful. I have never had such a large amount of fat and I found them quite tasteless. The drinks were not good at all and our waiter, Five, must have been having a bad night. Wrong drinks were brought twice. He gave a good description of dishes in the beginning but then the service deteriorated. One could hear the canned speeches given to the other tables. All in all a real disappointment. read more

Absolutely amazing experience. Best staff around! Make sure to try the olives while you look over the menu items! Wine list is the best in Wake Forest. read more

Bennett was our waiter. We live in Cary and my daughter had a birthday party up this way. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was great. We had the cheese board, olives, goat cheese, stuffed peppers and lamb meatballs. The goat cheese was to die for. I would drive from Cary to get it! Bennett was awesome! Very attentive! read more

Was here for a business dinner in aug 19. Food is tasty and presented well with care. Atmosphere good. Probably not a good value for most families. read more

What an awesome thing to bring to Wake Forest. Have been to tapas in Spain and this is a great take on the concepts from that area.

We visited Bodega on Sunday Dec 22nd and after a nice dinner with friends we paid our bill and left. To my surprise, when reviewing my bank statement I see that the waiter added additional money to his tip!! Not only did we leave a tip but our friends did as well, so what the hell!!! I will be disputing this with the bank and the owner. read more

Incredible experience. Everyone needs to go to Bodega. The food is incredible! Great atmosphere and wine list. Chef Horacio and Serge are incredibly generous and our waiter, Bennett is as amazing. Will go back ASAP! read more

The rum cocktails and service was fantastic, get the bacon wrapped dates! Can't wait to go back!

We used to like this place because of their interesting menu and great service, but last time we went, most of the better items on the menu had disappeared and the service was not very good at all. Also, even at 50% Covid capacity, it was extremely loud there and we could hardly hear each other talk. We won't be going there again. read more

My favorite tapas place is Barcelona (the restaurant chain), so I always have high hopes when trying a new tapas restaurant. Unfortunately Bodega was disappointing and we likely won't make the drive from Durham to try it again. My favorite thing about the experience was the drinks. Great sangria and rum drinks. My least favorite thing about the experience was ordering two desserts: the creme brulee and apple rum cake and not getting either. We were told they were out of creme brule and out of icecream for the rum cake. That was pretty surprising. After a meal that was o-k (the empanadas were our favorite tapas), unfortunately the no dessert sealed the deal. I understand those things can happen, but it's all about the recovery and Unfortunately we felt they could care less. You never know when you have a first time diner hoping to find a new tapas restaurant. read more

We have been to Bodega many times. We loved this restaurant and chose to come and Celebrate our Anniversary at our favorite restaurant in Wake Forest. That being said we had the worst service. Server was terrible! More interested in chatting with the table next to us or completely disappearing. I had to ask for water. Our Rum old fashioned obviously sat for a while as the drink was watered down and we really don't think it was rum but bourbon. We ordered the French Onion Soup. It was so good as always but we were concerned when the server couldn't remember if we had ordered. We decided at that point because the food was taking forever to come out, to order the main dishes. We were served the soup, 20min later the gnocchi, then we sat nothing else we had ordered had come out we ordered the tuna , it was served about 10 min later. Still no Peruvian chicken. That was ordered 45 min if not earlier. We asked were it was, about 5 min later the server said it would be right up. By this time we were done! When the chicken was finally served an hour after ordering. We asked for the check. The food was great but I have no idea what the disconnect was here. For the cost of the meal and drinks. I expected service to match the price and the food to be served realistically on time. Again, we have loved this place and the food but if this is the new norm, I can no longer recommend. I am not even going into how rude the people on both sides of us had multiple conversations with us in the middle. read more

So amazing! Tapas at its best! And pairing advice for your wine!!! So Highly recommend! Support this lovely local spot! It will be well worth your visit! Exquisite flavors, friendly staff and fun concept that allows for flavor and cultural exploration! read more

We love tapas. This was our first time at Bodega. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Great place for date night.

What a great place!!! Our waiter, Five, was amazing. The 3 of us old broads loved everything except the noise level. Other than that I love the place. read more

Food was great, service was amazing, even the atmosphere was good. It's beautiful what they have done with the place. The only issue I had was it was REALLY loud!! I had to really concentrate on my conversation. Wish they would add some sound barriers. If you are wanting something private and quiet for a nice dinner or a social outing this isn't the place for you. read more

A wonderful addition to wake forest ! The tapas are amazing ! The menu changes frequently. The wine list and rum drinks are delicious. "Serg" the owner is so sweet and really cares about his business. read more

Outstanding flavorful food & great staff! Ordered pickup and they were efficient, helpful. Overall great experience- can't wait to dine in with them after Covid. read more

Excellent food and great service! Strong drinks and savory dishes. I look forward to going back in the future.

Cute atmosphere but totally unimpressed with their tapas and wine list. I know tapas and this was not it.

Fun - quaint main street area, food was delicious, atmosphere is warm and open. Sevice was excellent. Really enjoyed our first time here.

Wow! Everything we had was amazing. Parisienne gnocchi may be one of the best things I've ever eaten. The scallop ceviche was deliciously light and so fresh. Finally the lamb meatballs were well seasoned and tender. Will definitely go to the top of our list of favorites. read more

Wow! What a GREAT experience! My wife and I went to Bodega Tapas & Wine Saturday evening. We're glad we did and we'll definitely be back soon! First, our server, Five, was awesome! Very friendly, personable, and professional. We had over half of the menu. There was literally nothing that wasn't good! We had: truffled beef tartar, NC shrimp, lamb ribs, shaved Brussels sprouts, scallop ceviche, cider braised pork belly, fingerling potatoes, Italian Buratta and Serrano Ham, empanadas, the 32oz ribeye, rustic pear tart, spiced chocolate tart, and white chocolate bread pudding. My only complaint was I think the chocolate tart should be served a little warmer so the chocolate portion isn't hard. For drinks we had the rum old fashioned, painkiller, Bodega rum sour, and orchard sangria. All amazing! We'll be back for our favorites and to try the things we didn't have the first time. What an amazing place and experience!!! read more

wasn't sure whete we wanted to. then decided on Mexican. after we parked we saw this place crossing the street. best stumble! Its Tapas so its a little pricey in general but for a Tapas place it was perfectly priced. I should have taken pictures but the food was too good. indoor and outdoor seating. we didnt have a reservation so we were outside. so was a street musician. wonderful experience, wonderful staff, wonderful food. read more

Wonderful food and service.Plates are small but tasty. The crab stuffed peppers and pasta bolognese was delicious.

I came here with a girlfriend for girls night out and we loved it! Service was fantastic, food was fantastic, drinks were fantastic. Very hard to find a restaurant who can nail all 3 of those categories. I will definitely be back! Highlights for me were - cheese plate, lamb meatballs, seared tuna, and orchard sangria. read more

It's really good. Best Tapa place I've been to in the triangle area. I was surprised, because it competes pretty well for menu selection and quality as some restaurants in big cities like Chicago. Pretty expensive, so can't eat here as often as I'd like, but I would say prices are comparable to other Tapa restaurants. read more

Great addition to downtown WF. We enjoyed the food. Grilled flank steak was tender and flavorful, as was the grilled octopus. Our only complaint was the noise level, (which we understand they are trying to address) was so high we couldn't have a conversation. We look forward to visiting again when they have made changes and/or perhaps when they are less busy. (We went for Fri dinner). Another positive was their service. They were very accommodating on the phone for our last minute reservation for a party of six. Our server was also very pleasant, attentive, and made great suggestions wrt small plates and portion sizes. read more

Great customer service and great food. What else could you ask for? Oh I know, bigger portions. Lol no seriously this place is excellent I highly recommend it to anyone. I will definitely return. One request would be to have some type of Sweet Tea or Arnold Palmer to go with the awesome bourbon and whiskey selections you have. (That's just what I like) Heck just writing this review makes me want to come for another visit. read more

Just moved to the area and was looking for a quaint non-franchise spot to enjoy a glass of wine with my wife. This place exceeded all expectations. Beyond the healthy wine selection, their sangria and rum drinks were spectacular. But the best part of the experience was the tapas plates and desert (amazing bread pudding). Christina served us and she was fantastic- made great recommendations. read more

Great service, tapas variety was good and on point. Bartender/Somm. waited on us and knew menu as well. Will go back for sure.
