I love coming here. The food is amazing delicious. My favorite is Chivo Guisado (oxtail stew)…read more Everything is good there. You can not go wrong with anything you ordered. I normally don't like Mofongo but the ones here are delicious! Everyone here from servers to bartenders are all very nice and friendly. At night on the weekends past 9pm, this place gets packed with DJ and music. There's a stage for a live band and sometimes Karaoke. A lot of dancing and fun like a mini night club. However, ordering around the time when all the music and crowd is going to be a long wait. The drinks are made strong so no complaints here. The chocolate cake: brownie was delicious. Not too sweet. Just the way I like it. We will be coming back soon.

It did not sit well with us being obligated to consume something we didn't need that day. Mind you we always give our waitress a generous cash tip. It's a local basic hangout club, nothing fancy at all and their bathrooms need attention, but we enjoy the Latin music and dancing. The food prices were blacked out on the menu so I guess they are raising the food prices also. Their food is ok, nothing special just ok, could be improved. They should rethink their new minimum $60 requirement policy just to sit and relax for a couple of hours. We always purchase 2 drinks each and we have a responsible limit that should not be forced. Maybe we need to find a new hangout place.

Mofongo con bistec encebollado was prepared skillfully and their mofongo is a wonderful light texture that is clearly handmade with a mortar and pestle. The waitress was genuinely enthusiastic about the food and the flan and espresso finished the meal off perfectly.

My work colleagues and I were greeted by a friendly host and sat at a table. But everything from service went down hill from there when our actual table server arrived. We were immediately greeted with "You ready", with a frowned face. We asked for water with lemon (never received) and was later served water from a pitcher (without lemons) only later to see an adjacent table served water from a picture with lemon and orange slices. Didn't make much of that. But when our waiter returned to take our order the second time, again with the same "you ready" frown faced I asked for help with the menu. I could hear her sigh so loud I wanted not to believe the feeling that we were bothering her in some way; and there was maybe only a quarter of the tables with customers. After placing our orders I asked my colleagues if they were getting the same vibe as I was from her and they both felt the same way. From my seating angle I could see this young lady server when she approached the front bar/seating area of the restaurant; which appeared to be where the other waiters all gathered when waiting. But I noticed her smiling and engaging in friendly conversation with two customers sitting at the bar. I noticed this difference from how she treated us vs these other guest throughout the entire time. With them she was smiling, engaging and not in any flirtatious way, but seemingly just being nice....being a good waiter. Clearly she was choosing NOT to be nice to us, and this bothered me internally because I did not know why. Our friendly greeter from when we arrived was seen serving another table and whose behavior was consistently friendly with everyone. So why the difference with our waiter I kept asking myself. I still gave a generous tip despite this service. It was important to me to do so, but I probably won't be back here, and this would have been a nice place to go back to with mi amor.

If you've never heard of Sushi Aplatanao, you're in for a treat! FoodTok FL is a food truck…read morebringing a bold and creative fusion of Dominican and Japanese flavors, and trust me--it's not your average sushi spot. The term "aplatanao" is Dominican slang for being deeply connected to Dominican culture, and that's exactly what this sushi is: a Dominicanized take on Japanese sushi, packed with flavor and personality. Forget raw fish and delicate flavors--this sushi is all about big, bold, and cooked ingredients that blend the best of both worlds. Some of the signature Dominican touches include: - Sweet plantains (maduros) for a little natural sweetness - Fried cheese, because, well, cheese makes everything better - Salami, adding that smoky, savory Dominican touch - Guacamole, swapping out wasabi for a creamy, flavorful kick - Churrasco (grilled steak), giving sushi a hearty twist - Chicken (fried chicken), for those rolls that love white meat Wrapped up in sushi rice and nori, then topped with house-made sauces, the result is a delicious mix of sweet, savory, crispy, and creamy flavors in every bite. A Must-Try: The Villa Juana | Domi Roll One of their standout rolls is the Villa Juana Roll, named after a well-known Dominican neighborhood. It's got fried cheese, sweet plantains, Dominican salami, and a drizzle of their special sauce, making it a perfect example of this fusion style. Every bite is an explosion of flavors that'll have you questioning why sushi didn't always taste like this! If that doesn't appeal you, then just go for their traditional rolls in the box, such as Spicy Tuna, Kalifornia, Salmon roll, JB roll, etc. Service it's amazing and both the chef and the sous chef are great hosts. Love this place and will be coming back for sure!

It's a portion of two and though it may look small, it is mighty and a great compliment to an entree! A complete pallet igniter! So good, I had to order a second portion Next up, a POKE BOWL Man, the mango was the perfect ripeness! So was the avocado! A sweet sauce with jalapeños coated it and I got salmon on it, amazing. Funny enough, I'm not really a rice girl but the seasoning was a great compliment to the veggies in this bowl. Last but not least, the NO FEAR ROLL a great serving size with a delicious cilantro verde vinaigrette! Such great mixes of flavors and all made within 10-15 minutes.
