I joined a few friends yesterday to lunch at this delightful small shop. Being unfamiliar with Cuban sandwiches, I was skeptical regarding what to try. Well, I selected the Reuben Cuban and it was fabulous. Meanwhile, my friends each tried a different Cuban and marveled similarly at how good the sandwiches were. It was my first visit but, with so many delightful offerings on the menu, I expect I will become a regular. The couple who own and operate the cafe are also friendly, accommodating and fun people. Came in for the first time today and ordered the Lumberjack Omelette - huge 3 egg omelette with meats and cheese - and a huge cup of Cafe Bustelo. Coffee served in an oversized glass mug with large handle that was just so nice to sip from. Absolutely loved the cafe. Will be returning as often as possible! Can't wait to try the Cuban sandwich. Owners were so nice and cut up one of the giant chocolate chip cookies in the front for us to try: warm, moist, gooey! I'll be dreaming about it all day. This has to be the worst place Ive been to thus far. Where do I begin. First, of all the Cuban sandwiches they are making, aren't real Cuban sandwiches. What they are actually making are midnight sandwiches which are made with the sweet roll bread. A Cuban sandwiches uses Cuban bread and these sandwich don't have that. Being a pure Cuban from Miami I think these people need to drive down to realize the difference. Second, they didn't use any gloves to prepare the food. I get that COVID is slowly dieing down but germs are germs, and when handling other peoples food you have to be cautious. No sanitary measure were taken so that was definitely a turn off. He was literally touching the egg with his bare hands not even using a spatula. The food was okay nothing special, something I can make at home. Price was moderate but I would rather spend my money elsewhere. And at the end when charging me, the owner try to play as if the machine didn't charge me the first time. He skipped over the receipt and claimed the transaction didn't go through. Luckily I was paying attention so I asked him to check and reprint the receipt. Good thing he did cause after looking at my bank account they charged an addition $6 to the meal for no reason. Be aware and be careful of places like this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Cute decor and nice staff, but after paying $17.12 for a chicken salad sandwich, one glass of iced tea, and one peanut butter cookie, I was angry at myself the rest of the day. I don't have money to throw away like that, and I'm pretty sure the menu said $9 for the chicken salad. It was served on a soft, hoagie/sub roll, with NO chips or anything on the side. Not sure how my tea and last-minute cookie to go brought it up to $17.12 before tip, but I'll never go back. Pretty good place. Not really Cuban, it is called One Way and they do sell a Cuban sandwich but mostly just a little hipster joint. Lots of fresh-prepared food. Had a meatball sandwich, all hand made and delicious, homemade lentil soup, and a Cuban plate with chicken, black beans and brown rice. Everything was well made, fresh and delicious. Nice, fresh vibe to the place, very clean and well decorated. Definitely worth it for a quick brunch or lunch! read more

I found this spot by accident, and now I drive past my old favorites to get here. Yes. It's worth going out of your way. Fresh ingredients make for great healthy food. I have been trying to work through the menu but Its all so good. Ask about some of the things that ARENT on the menu like the shrimp and rice. Yum. This place has now had a change of name. I believe it is called One-way cafe. Probably changed it because he doesn't know how to make cuban food. We ordered a Cuban sandwich, it was made with processed meats, pork and ham. These meats had a rainbow sheen which usually indicates that the meat is either bad or was left out w/o refrigeration. Called to inform him and he said that is impossible even though my girlfriend walked in the place a saw a stack of pre-made sandwiches sitting there w/o refrigeration. I had 2 empanadas that were overcooked and may have been left over from the day before. I tried to inform him of what our order looked like prior to posting this Yelp review, but the owner was kinda defensive. So I posted this yelp review; I gave him a chance; chance is over as the owner did not want to hear what was wrong with his product. Publix has a safer cuban sandwich. read more

Not so crazy about the Crazy Cuban. I recently moved to the area from further south and was happy to come across this place as I love Cuban food, and it is close to my house. I spent a lot of time in Miami in years past and have eaten plenty of great Cuban food there. I also frequented a decent place in Boca Raton, and a little hole in the wall in Lake Worth that were very good. I wish I could say I was pleased with this place, but I wasn't. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich, an Empanada, and a Cafe Con Leche. The Cuban was really mediocre and lackluster, the Empanada had a great outer pastry, but the filling was soupy and bland, and, horror of horrors, the Cafe Con Leche was WEAK! There's gotta' be a law, right?! Maybe I'd have a better experience another time, but I won't be back to find out. read more

A small cafe sort of place with really warm service and some really delicious food. I ordered the Shrimp Creole and my friend the Chicken Picadally and both of them were extremely delicious . The restaurant was full during lunch hour and most of the patrons were having the soup and cuban sandwiches. So I guess those have to be very popular at this place. The owner was a great guy and although it was disheartening when we came to find out that he had no connections to Cuba (just the fact that he bought the place from Cubans) i must say, with the quality of food we had he is doing a great job..... This is a great breakfast and lunch spot in Palm Beach Gardens. I am new to the area and have stopped in three times thus far. The highlight for me has been the pork platter that comes with pulled pork, black beans and rice and plantains. The homemade soups are very, very good and two of the times that I have been I was offered a sample upon walking through the door. The Cuban sandwich is solid (I would recommend the double stuffed version for $1 more). All in all a great place to grab a very tasty and reasonably priced lunch. We ordered the platters and it wasn't very authentic. Ropa vieja was too tomato-ey and soupy and had a lot of peppers and onions. I'm used to eating ropa vieja that's just meat. We ordered the lechon asado, and it was a little dry.. seemed like small pieces of boneless pork that was seared/deep fried? There was no crust, but the mojo sauce was really garlicky and lime-y. Rice was just a pilaf with mixed vegetables, looked like something that came out of a bag, would've preferred just plain white rice. The plantains were good though. read more

I love hole in the wall places. I love good food with fair prices that one might expect when you go to a mom and pop establishment. Well you won't find that here. $8.95 for a roast pork platter. Pork average, rice horrible, beans basic, plantains bad. Portion size was weak for price. I got a sample of soup. Was great! Funny this place has a little following, obviously they don't mind getting ripped off for crap food. Maybe at $6.95 for soup and a half of Cuban is the way to go. Rice was lukewarm, and what seemed to be some veg-all tossed in with it, and the beans were still quite hard, and seemed completely unseasoned. But at least those didn't come from a can! I almost always get the Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup & a Double-Stuffed Cuban Sandwich. I get hungry... They're so good I have had no desire to try anything else. The soup has a spicy bite to it and the flavor is rich. Plenty of chicken in there too. They usually will offer you a sample of any random soup they want you to try, and you're welcome to try anything if you simply ask. The Cuban sandwich I'd put up against any from street-vendors in Miami, any day. The option to have double the meat is great too. Beware, this sandwich is huge and you better be hungry. My only gripe is the place is claustrophobic-small. I think 4-5 tables (?), each about 2ft away from each other. If I remember, there may be 1-2 tables outside, but it is pretty damn hot down here for most of the year, so I wouldn't consider eating outdoors unless it's winter time. Extremely hospitable and friendly people. I only go there about once a week and they already know who I am when I walk in. Walk up to the counter, order, then have a seat. I visited this place hoping for a taste of something resembling Abuela's (grandma) home cooking but was disappointed. I asked the owner for a Croqueta Preparada sandwich, which typically includes ham cheese, and ham croquettes on Cuban bread. And before I could explain what was in the sandwich, he said the following: "I don't know what that is. This is Juno Beach. We don't do things like they do down South." After he allowed me to explain, I was served what they called a Super Cuban. Similar to other reviews here, I also found the food to be bland. Between the taste of the food and the owner's demeanor, I just can't recommend this place - certainly not as a Cuban restaurant. read more

2.5 This place is thriving on good service and nothing more. My cuban sandwich was less than an inch thick and I even ordered the "deluxe" or whatever they call it. I got one slice of each meat and that was it. I found it to be bland, thin and forgettable. The bread reminded me of cardboard. My cafe con leche was way too sweet. Crazy good Cubans at the Crazy Cuban. Although they offer a traditional Cuban, which is excellent, their various renditions of Cubans are equally delicious. The bread is fresh and perfectly pressed; crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the met and cheese is hot and delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
