Gay is my "go to" person for massage. I have lots of physical challenges--20+ orthopedic procedures--and Gay has the ability to "tune into" my needs in a way that far exceeds my ability to articulate them. Therapist double booked. My husband made me a massage appointment for my birthday and dropped me off 5 minutes early. There was a sign on the door that said massage in session. I waited for over 20 minutes and no one came out. There was no where to wait outside of the appointment room so I roamed the parking lot. My husband tried texting and no one responded. We arranged our whole day in Bodega Bay around this appointment, so it was a real bummer on my birthday. Seeing a political sign in the window though makes me grateful the therapist double booked. Seriously, Who wants to think about politics when you're getting a massage, no matter what your beliefs are?! The therapist did call my husband and apologize for double booking. She also made an attempt at rebooking the same day, but I could not justify screwing everyone else's day up by another 2 hours - so I declined. We all make mistakes. read more

Myself and 2 girlfriends came to bodega bay for a mommy getaway and rented a house on the beach. Linda came to the house and treated us all to wonderful massages that we will never forget. My wife and I stayed in Bodega Bay this past week for our ten year anniversary and I found Gay through her one single yelp review. After getting our back to back 90 minute massages and comparing notes with my wife - I felt compelled to give Gay another review so that others who are contemplating utilizing Gay, will do so. Gay has been doing massage for over 30 years and is a holistic powerhouse of knowledge. She openly shared that she has a passion for posture. She shared with both my wife and I many of the sources of our posture related to different areas of tension on our body. It was a big reminder to the both of us that our posture and our jobs are at the root of so many problems. Gay easily pinpointed sore spots and worked them out. She didn't just have a passive go-through-the-motions massage, it was definitely focused and she concentrated on spots that needed it. The only thing I did not like was that her table was a bit old, and tended to "creak" rather easily. It was a little distracting. But it was not enough to knock a point off my 5 star review because her price point was THAT MUCH BETTER than anyone else around. We will absolutely book again with Gay the next time we are up in the Bodega Bay area. P.S. to book an appointment CALL her, don't use email. She lives deep in the country where internet is spotty, so you'll get a much quicker response via phone calls. read more

I was surprised and glad to be able to book a session with Gay just a day in advance, for a Saturday! My husband and I each received 1-hour long treatments for just $60 (+tip). Gay is a lovely lady who offers massage at three different locations. I am impressed at her knowledge of functional and safe movement. We recently slipped away for a 3 day getaway to one of our favorite spots on the California coast, Timber Cove. Having stayed at several places up and down the coast from Bodega Bay to Gualala and used the "on call" message therapists the resorts recommend, I've never been impressed. They're generally just OK and way overpriced. This time I changed the game and as a result I'm a hero (to my wife). We drove 40 minutes to Bodega Bay to get messages from Gay and all I can say is WOW! This woman has been practicing body work using multiple disciplines for decades and it's self evident from the first five minutes she lays her hands on you.
