Bodanski Wood Flooring recently redid the maple floors in my 1800's home...floors had not been refinished in a very long time. Tom and team got right on it and the finished project is just beautiful. I would give Bodanski a 10/10 all day long. Helpful, professional, friendly, and affordable. Beautiful job. Thank you. read more

Excellent work. I was expecting a lot of dust from the sanding but there was very little dust on cabinets etc. We highly recommend them. Very satisfied with the work and the price! read more

If the highest rating one could give a company is 5 stars, Tom Bodanske would receive 10 stars! Tom, along with his sidekick and partner (his wife) were over the top with their workmanship and knowledge in the refinishing of my Livingroom hardwood floor. In watching them work, you could feel that they were treating your floor like it was their own. In the beginning, I was hesitant whether or not to have my floor refinished. I am incredibly happy and pleased with my decision to refinish them. The finished product was far beyond my expectations and looks better than when it was first installed (by a different company). Simply wonderful! read more

We are delighted with the results of our hardwood floor refinishing. Our nearly 100 year old maple floors that have been hidden under carpet now look amazing. The whole process from quote to finished job was seamless. Highly recommend! read more

thought my kitchen floor couldn't be saved. Tom came in and made them beautiful so in love with my floors makes my house pretty again

Extremely happy with our wood flooring project completed by Bodanske Wood Flooring. Tom did a great job refinishing the floors which had been covered by decades old carpeting. We knew the oak flooring had potential, but were amazed by how they ultimately turned out. It's been over a year since the refinishing but we still brag to our family and friends about the quality ha! read more

Tom was referred to us by a friend, who recently had Tom do his floors. Boy am I glad we got that referral and called Tom! Now before you read any further, call Tom and book your flooring project with him, before someone else does, then finish reading this, as I assure you that by the time you're done reading this you'll really want to book with Tom! We were using a product on our floors that Tom was unfamiliar with, as are most flooring guys, because it is 'old school' and used far more in Australia, where my wife comes from, than here in the states. Tom also said he'd be more than happy to come over and look at our floors and read up on the product we were going to use. He was intrigued I believe. Tom showed up, looked over our floors, read the parts of the website I had printed out for the product we were going to use and immediately said he'd do the job. He also said he'd do more research on the product, how to use it to the greatest effect and the best way to apply it. All of which he did, and more! Tom really did his homework and knew the product inside and out before starting our job. Tom and I spoke a few times before he showed up on site and he explained his process and how things would play out. Tom was easy to get along with and always had a good suggestion to add to any discussion about the upcoming project. I felt very comfortable going into the project with Tom handling everything and letting us know what to expect. When Tom showed up on site the first day, he was nothing but professional. He walked us through the project from start to finish, explaining the process to us in even more detail and answered all our final questions. He also reiterated his 'dustless' system promise again, saying that there would probably be more dust on our already cleaned surfaces now than when he was done. Spoiler alert, Tom's 'dustless' system is really just that 'dustless'! Then Tom got to work. He prepped the job site and inspected the entire floor area, making certain that all was as he wished before moving forward. He found and fixed a couple of things and then started the sanding process. It took Tom two days to completely sand our floors and the attention to detail he paid was extraordinary! No matter what the issue was Tom had it well in hand. We had a few areas that needed fixing with epoxy and Tom took such care in fixing them that though I know where they are, it still takes me a minute or two to find them now that they are fixed. There were also a couple of things which hadn't been done right when we got our floors done initially years before, which Tom corrected to perfection. It was then time to apply our Waterlox Original tung oil finish. Tom was able to apply only one coat of this product in each 24 hour period, and we wanted 5 coats, so Tom would be there for an hour or so five days in a row. The first coat simply disappeared into the wood of the floor and left a beautiful color, but no sheen at all. The second coat got better and with the third we started to see some of the sheen we were looking for. Between the third and fourth coat Tom buffed the floor to knock down any 'grain-raise' and smooth out the floor for the final two coats. With the last two coats, Tom and the Waterlox tung oil finish really made the floors come to life and glow like we had expected them to! Our floors are some of the most beautiful wood floors I've seen anywhere and Tom was the guy who brought them back to life for us. Tom was on time every time, he was knowledgable about everything wood floor related, he was honest, reliable, fair minded, and his price for doing all this was more than reasonable for all that he put into our project. At the end of the day he gave us the best product we could have hoped for at a fair price and there were no surprises. I would recommend Tom to anyone looking to get their floors refinished, without hesitation! See, I told you that you'd really want to book with Tom by the time you got done reading this. Now, if you haven't already done so, call Tom! read more

Do not under any circumstances use this guy for your flooring. Very unprofessional. Shows up late to give estimates or on a completely different day. When finished with project sends a message he lost your check and wants you to submit a new one. A few days later when he realizes hes not getting a new check he finds the original. When discussing other projects to use up leftover material comes up a few sq feet short so you have to order another 20 sq ft box. When you question his math on how much product you need he hangs up on you. Steer clear hes nothing but a con man. read more

Bodanske wood floors refinished the original 1950's hardwood floor in the living room and dining room of our Bay View home. We were able to select from a range of stains to find the color that best matched the house's built-in cabinets and other vintage woodwork. The result is a beautiful floor at a very reasonable price, and the customer service was great, also. Bodanske refinished the wood floors in another family member's home who recommended them to us - and they were equally satisfied. Highly recommended. read more

Highly recommend Bodanske Wood Floors! Tom refinished both pine and oak floors in my home. He was professional and communicative every step of the way. Extremely happy with the result and will look to Tom again for future projects. read more

My natural oak wood floors were recently finished by Bodanske Wood Flooring. I cannot say enough good things about them. Tom went above and beyond resulting in 100% satisfaction. They arrived at my home on time & were a great pleasure to talk to. He and his helper were professional, helpful and did a great job refinishing my floors. Tom explained the job in detail and they got right to it. He took the time to lay down a few different stain options, which helped in my choosing. The job was completed exactly when he said and it looks gorgeous! I'm in awe as I stand and stare!! I've only used my wood floor cleaning kit twice, but I love it!! It works both as a dust mop and a wet mop. It keeps my floors looking healthy and alive! read more

Tom truly is an artisan. We just bought a lakehouse in the Appleton area and the carpeted and vinyl that was on the floors were such an eyesore so that had to be the first thing done. We didn't have any referrals to go on, so we went to yelp and I had a really good feeling about Tom. He was punctual for the first meeting, gave an extremely fair estimate. He ripped out the entire first floor of our house, and put in the most gorgeous floors I have ever seen. The workmanship as well as the quality of products he uses is second to none. He was done on time, was upfront with little hiccups that our old house presented along the way and we couldn't be happier. I would recommend Tom and his expertise without hesitation to anybody. read more

Tom refinished our stairs and hallway in our 1901 home. He did an exceptional job. Conscientious, knowledgeable and very reasonable. He had to replace missing wood in a couple of places and did such a great job that you really can't tell where that piece was matched in. Just an excellent job all the way around. I would say that Tom is a craftsman; he takes pride in his work. AAA+++ read more

Tom is very knowledgeable about wood floors. He was able to cover stains in my floor that I did not think could be done. He showed up when he said he would and finished the job in the timeframe he provided. My floors are beautiful and they look brand new. His prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend him. read more

One year after getting our first two rooms done, we had the last two completed. This time I didn't bother getting any other estimates. My original review stands and then some. Wish there were more stars to give out! read more

My wife and I recently decided to have our original 100 year old Maple floors refinished. We contacted a few different flooring companies in the area and had them all come out and give their opinions and get quotes. One day I came across Bodanske Flooring, kind of by accident. I gave Tom a call and asked if he could come out and give us a quote and offer his opinions. Out of all the companies that we had over, Tom @ Bodanske Flooring was the most honest, upfront and helpful out of them all. The other companies almost seemed to just want to come in, knock out the job real quick, in the easiest way possible and collect their check. Tom gave us multiple options and different ideas on things we could do and worked with us on every aspect of the job. Bodanske Flooring is a one man operation at this time, so that made us uneasy at first about how long it was going to take to do such a big job. We could have went with another company and had the job done in just a few days but once he started the job and we started to see progress we could definitely tell that he takes pride in his work and loves what he does. We left it all up to him and put all of our trust in him and we were not disappointed at all!! We didn't mind the amount of time it took either after it was complete and we were in absolute awe of how amazing it turned out! In summary, if you are looking for a flooring project to be done in your home, I recommend Bodanske Flooring. Tom was looking out for the best interest of us and our floors. He takes great pride in his work. He is honest, up front and well priced. We will be having him come back next year to do a refinish on our 2nd story! read more
