French Dip Sandwich

Great coal fired pizza. I have eaten here many times and it has always been very good. Tonight my wife and I ordered pasta dishes. Shrimp and broccoli for her and flounder and with crab for me. Extremely good, well balanced with a garlic and white wine sauce. The overall meal was priced reasonably. They staff is and has been very friendly. Howard and Ryan were tending bar and they pour a good glass of wine. The Jazz music was very nice. The French Dip is new and great!

Caprese Salad tasted fresh and the balsamic glaze added just the right savory flavor!

We have eaten at Bocca over many years since they've first opened their doors. HOWEVER... This review is in reference to their "take-out" or "to-go" SERVICE. My husband, orders, on average, once a week, a plain burger: w/ sautéed onions, med. rare. and, fries on the side. He ASKS for NOTHING else on his burger ... preferring NO ketchup, tomatoes, lettuce or cheese. Emphasis on NO CHEESE!! Each time it's been ordered , he has had to call back to RETURN the order ( 50 per cent of the time!! ) because they ADD the CHEESE! Invariably, the manager has said, in the past, "next time you come in, LMK and I'll cover your cost. BUT my husband, doesn't EVER take him up on the offer. But, TONIGHT after they delivered his meal ( again, with cheese, and they forgot the sautéed onions! They returned, WITH a new burger, it had no cheese & AGAIN they did not deliver the additional sautéed onions! SERIOUSLY?? They need to improve their performance. FROM order-taking, to the finished product, to the notes in the kitchen ... somewhere along the way there's a break-down in communication. Customers should NOT have to call consistently to re-order wrongly delivered meals!! My rating is based on this poor performance, on the SAME repeated mistake on several different occasions!

I was welcome anyway! :)

Any place with daily happy hour from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM is a-okay in my book! We joined our friends here for a late afternoon happy hour on a rainy Saturday. The restaurant was busy! There was a birthday party in a section of the main dining room, and the bar area was lively. The Preakness was going to be broadcast at the bar, so that likely increased the traffic. We were able to land a nice four-top in the bar section. Two things I loved off the bat - the bartender was able to make me a decaf Espresso Martini, and their house Pinot Noir was simply delicious. The happy hour menu was extensive, and we sampled a little bit of everything - cheesesteak egg rolls, buffalo tails (tenders), mussels, hummus, and some Cape May Salts (my favorite). Our server was an absolute doll. I cannot recall her name for the life of me, but she had long red hair and she checked in on us regularly. We could tell she valued her guests' experiences. She deserves accolades and a raise! There is a funny sign behind the bar that read "Welcome Eagles Fans - New York fans please use the back door". Of course. my Philadelphia sports fanatic husband had to put me on blast for being a New York sports fan, but our server chuckled and said I was welcome regardless. So, take THAT! Really fun time and a great place to catch up with friends!

Pizza, sausage, peppers, mushroom and long fire roasted long hots! So good coal fired

My turn. 1st time. I was impressed with the service it was perfect actually. Now the food, we ordered the casinos but they were out...sad. Server didn't know they were out. So we ordered Calamari, it was good but nothing special like I was hoping for after a price tag that it was one of a kind 5 stars. The beef dip was really good but needed salt. I ordered a custom pizza coal fired and it was excellent I was happy. Now the drinks were excellent and we were outside sitting because we asked for it and it was gorgeous out with a wonderful ocean breeze and the are was beautiful. I will come back only reason not giving 4 stars is the food is over priced.

We eat there often. Service and food is awesome! Pizza is the best I've had anywhere. Live music is always good! You won't be disappointed.

Don't waste your time with this place. It took over an hour to get delivery when they said 30 minutes. And it was cold

Sunset views galore!…read more We were fortunate enough to experience Tideline post summer season during a warm Saturday evening. No crowds and we sat outside with a beautiful view of the water. Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters all around.! I was thrilled to see this on the menu. * Blue Cheese Truffle Potato Chips - crispy and sharable for the table * Clam Strips - a little heavy on the filler but tasty nevertheless! * Smash Burger - solid staple item if you're not feeling seafood-y * Soft Shell Crab Tacos - three to an order - very good * Mahi Mahi Soft Tacos - three to an order - nice fish-to-accoutrements ratio Cocktail prices are a bit high. My "High Maintenance" was refreshing, but $18 is a bit steep. In fact, none of their house favorites cocktails were less than $17. Even the mocktails are $10. Wine pours are either 6 ounces or 9 ounces. This is nice if you want a little more than a basic pour, but you'll pay for it ($13 vs. $20). While drink prices are steep, several food menu items are very reasonable. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I can imagine how packed this place must get in the summer months!

It looked like a really cool relaxing place with an upstairs area that had open air windows and fun vibe. An hour before we were to arrive, we were informed via text not to forget that it was a "white party"... The restaurant was I guess really cool if you're looking to hook up or what not but not a older couple looking to enjoy their 18th anniversary not so much... Our waiter was very kind, but completely clueless and when we got our drinks, one of which was made so wrong, he then took our appetizer order, after that he never came back. Would we have ordered more food... possibly, but at this point I'm unsure. The drinks were watered down and unless you're looking for a meat market in your 50s or vmaybe 30s to 50s why would you come here? On another sidenote, I went to the bar when my second drink came not tasting as it should, I was a bartender so I know how things should be. Not only was the bartender insanely rude she cursed at me and told me I was fucking crazy for not understanding my drink, which is literally tequila on the rocks with salt, a splash of pineapple juice and a lime. I would never recommend this place on the food or the alcohol. If this is the type of vibe you want more power to you. On a secondary note, my Resy reservation said we were celebrating our 18th anniversary, which was the truth not only did anyone not say anything kind to us like happy anniversary after two rounds of drinks and one round of 3 appetizers.... When we asked for the check they couldn't have given a shit, no one wished us anything. Want a meat market come here otherwise stay away.

We enjoyed an outstanding dinner here! While staying nearby in Atlantic City for a conference, we…read morereally wanted to get away from that nasty area and one of our colleagues lives in the area and suggested we try Steve & Cookies. We got there and it looked, calm, simple, and plain from the outside - until we walked in... this place was PACKED! Clearly, since we didn't make reservations, we weren't going to enjoy seating at their white table cloth tables in the main dining room, but we went around back to their bar and scored one last table there. Our server, Brian was amazing... engaging... and on point! They have a nice wine list and perfect spirit list. They also have an outstanding menu loaded with so many options, that I really just needed to settle on the first thing I saw that looked good. For me, I love cucumbers and when I saw they had a cucumber salad, done Asian style, I was completely in!!! Then I saw their soup of the day was split pea with bacon and since no one serves split pea and when they do, it's rarely what I expect, I got that too! Both of these came out looking GREAT! The cucumber salad had a nice spice to it and the flavors overall were sooo on point! That split pea soup was also great... almost perfect! It had the exact texture this soup should have and the flavor was very nice. For my entrée I saw a few of the halibut as I was walking through the dining room, so that is what I chose. The halibut came out looking great! It was PERFECTLY prepared too!! The flavors were spot-on, and the accompanying veggies were great too. We were enjoying dinner so much that we didn't want it to end, even though we were full... so, we ordered desserts too. I opted for the banana cream pie, as this is another item I rarely see on a menu and when I do, it's rarely done right, but not here... they did it perfectly! Overall, amazing meal... Highly recommend stopping in, but make reservations first!

For me this is my go to favorite for meals that are well prepared, with a varied selection, and…read morepriced appropriately for a fine dining experience. Their summer tomato appetizer is probably the most popular of all. There are so many positive reviews that back me up about all that is great about the place, I thought that I might make a few suggestions for areas that could use improvement. First involves parking. They have very little and are using almost half of the space for outside services I don't quite understand. This means dropping off your party and hunting the neighborhood for a place to park. This leads to the second negative. The receptionist is a bit unforgiving if your ENTIRE party is not physically in the house. So if you are out foraging for a place to park you are out of luck. Next there is the bread service. Despite the fact that they are connected with a bakery there is an up charge for bread. This is a small thing, but really unnecessary as prices for the main part of the meal certainly compensate for a few slices of bread. Finally there is the reservation process. It seems like tables are held and not available for the general public. If you use the "notify" feature in RESY, there is a chance that one of these reserved tables will be released. This is annoying at best. All that said this is probably the best restaurant in the area.

I love that they're BYOB and you'll have a view of the pool and the ocean from a distance. Service was outstanding. It was perfectly timed and so personable. They provide complimentary bread with a delicious olive oil topped with crushed red pepper. To start, we split the Caesar salad and this was one of the best we've had in a while! It was cheesy and had the right amount of dressing without being too overpowering. They added olives and freshly made croutons that gave it some extra texture that I enjoyed. For my entree, I had the milk fed veal chop served Milanese style which was nice and light exactly how the server described it. It's like a caprese salad on top of a battered and crisp bone in chop. The balsamic was so tasty and they put a very generous amount of mozzarella on top. This was 17 ounces so I couldn't finish half of it but it still tasted great leftover. The star of the evening was the chef's specialty dish: the Pork Chop Agro Dolce. It's a center cut bone in pork chop topped with carmelized onions, a hot cherry pepper & capers in a sweet & slightly sour sauce over a candied sweet potato which tasted just as amazing as it sounds and looks!! I was dipping my veal chop into this sauce because it was absolutely incredible!! I don't think I've ever had a better pork chop in my life. It really puts others to shame. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit here to try some pastas and seafood. They also had special items that I'm super curious about!
