Aroma is a nice low key place on the main drag in Ventnor. BYOB a with a local liquor store a short walk away if you forget (which I did). Food was really good, fresh and tasty. Also tried the grilled octopus which was VERY good. My only complaint was that the service was a bit slow, largely due to the fact that they simply need more staff. The waiters were literally taking orders, cleaning and setting tables, in addition to handling any other inquiries that came in. The restaurant was pretty busy initially, which really slowed down the response time. Small adjustment on staffing would definitely add to the experience. But good spot and worth the trip.

The dining area

Marissa and team were pretty amazing. The environment being a bit loud for us, the volume of the patrons mostly, for a Saturday night late, inside dining area meal we could not expect more. Seated us at 8:15pm and we were done and hour and a half later. Really great food but we were also starved by the time it arrived. Be prepared for a good night outing with lots of great staff and an all in all pleasant experience.

We went on a Friday night and sat at the bar. Good service overall , a little nosey but food was excellent.

Aroma was fabulous! The restaurant is BYOB, to note. The food is pricey, but the portions are huge! Everyone was more than happy with their meals. I ordered broccoli rabe as a side and got the Frutti di Mare as my main-- it was fabulous!

Arrived at aroma. Noisy crowded. Salmon ok but pasta ordinary. Long waits. Not especially a pleasant inner. Service poor

This was my favorite meal after two full weeks of dining out in Atlantic City! After several…read morefailed attempts to go to a very popular and packed happy hour nearby, we ventured a few blocks further and were so glad we found RYFE. I started with a delightful lemon berry spritz, $4.99 on happy hour, very light and refreshing in a sneaky boozy way. Spouse ordered a draft Hidden Sands beer, also $4.99 on happy hour. Staff was unobtrusive but readily available as we dined at the bar. Only a few other patrons were there on a Sunday at 430pm. I saw one order of tacos at the end of the bar and confirmed the tortillas were indeed corn, hooray! The appetizers are impressive in variety, portion and quality. We shared them, but spouse gravitated towards the shellfish. The red sauce mussels were made spicy on request, and they were a good sized portion with a simple toasted sliced bread. A little grated parm and parsley graced the mussels. The Tres Tacos were filled with a nice carne asada. Big chunks of perfect steak, pico, avocado and melty cheese inside on corn tortillas (rare in the East). I could eat these every day! I think the tortillas needed a little more time on the flat grill, but that's my preference. Finally the calamari. I dream about finding a grilled calamari like this back home in Phoenix. No breading, just pure grilled squid rings and tentacles all tossed with garlic, seared poblanos, lemon and some greens. LOVE LOVE LOVED this dish!!! It's about time we found a meal that wasn't pub food and was yet still affordably priced. RYFE has a very talented chef, we loved the menu and preparations. These happy hour appetizers are $10 and get this, they are available for take out! Why are you only in Atlantic City RYFE? Please come to Phoenix!!

Always delicious food from Chef Rosie, excellent attentive service from bartenders Lori and Alicia…read more A fun Happy Hour seven days a week!!

Wonder Bar has seriously gone downhill since my last visit…read more The food was mediocre, the service was underwhelming, and taking calamari off the menu was a disappointing surprise. For a place with such a great location, the overall experience simply doesn't match the potential. There also appears to be a revolving door of staff, and when you constantly see turnover, it raises questions about management and how the business is being run. The bartender was okay, but had absolutely no personality or customer engagement. Honestly, the location is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. The beer, convenient location, and late hours are pretty much the only reasons I would consider coming back. Atlantic City has plenty of competition, and Wonder Bar needs to step it up. Great location alone can only carry a business so far.

This bar is unquestionably a locals' hangout on a late Monday night. It attracted a solid crowd,…read moreand the drinks were excellent. There was only one bartender and one waitress handling food service. Neither of them took conflicting orders; she prepared food, he served drinks--plain and simple. Regarding the experience, I ordered a whole pizza with cheese and pepperoni, and it was truly terrible. Everything about that pizza was revolting--by far the worst I've ever had. One of my friends ordered pretzel bites with cheese, which were decent, but I promptly discarded the pizza and returned to my cocktails, which were the highlight of the evening. As I mentioned earlier, the crowd was lively, consisting mainly of younger, college-aged adults rather than seasoned locals, so we didn't stay long enough to mingle.
