This is my third visit with Dr. Perry for my knees. The office staff is always pleasant and everything is efficient, from radiology to procedures. I have not seen Dr. perry for a few years but I had a new problem, he quickly diagnosed and treated my knee pain. I limped into the office and left without pain, able to walk again. The practice waiting room is very spacious, the nurses, technicians, and doctors are all very friendly. It is a bit hard to get in contact with them over the phone but once you're in the office, it's all smiles from them. read more

I came in for a procedure of Hyalgan supartz visco-3 dose service. The Doctor advised that it would not be covered for my hip. I decided to pay out of pocket for the 3 injections. I just received a bill from my Insurance company for almost $1000.00 in addition for the 219.00 I paid each time the service was rendered. To add insult to injury the procedure didn't work. He did say it is typically for knees so I'll give him that. This was October 2024, and now I'm getting this surprise bill for almost 1000. May 2025. Had I been told the cost was this much I would have never gone through with it. Very unsatisfied and alot poorer from this experience. Would not recommend this practice of Dr Jason Perry read more

I have a few details I would like to share about our recent visit to this practice. My daughter rolled her ankle during a high school volleyball game last week. Thursday evening to be exact. Her sports therapy and training specialist at the school referred us to chat with Kara to align schedules and she made it possible to come in first thing Friday morning to see Dr Jason Perry. Do you know how incredibly rare that is, for a sought after physician in busy broward/palm beach county area, especially one who assists Lynn U and FAU athletes as well during the start of their football season, to accommodate a Friday morning at 9am?! We started off immediately on the right foot, with no pun intended (ok, the pun was definitely somewhat intended and that's why my teenager gets embarrassed!) Dr Perry was punctual, kind, listened to us and provided feedback and we were out and on our way to work and school within the perfect amount of time and the comfort of knowing we found a good match. The office was clean and organized, and while I am not a fan of being asked to wear a mask, I appreciated that they are focused on following office protocols. It shows that they run a tight ship and coming from healthcare management background, I like it. Not the mask, but the structure. I always try to find the positives because personally I do believe that masks are pointless. I won't go down that path here, though. Damian at the front desk was friendly and patient with us as we completed the intake documents and explained everything in great detail. A physician can know a plethora about our health, they save lives, they save ankles, etc - but a physician can only do what they do with a strong support staff. I promise, no doctor (especially the orthopedic surgeons) that I have worked for could manage a schedule, durable medical equipment, organize imaging studies, medical records, checkin and check out, submit claims and collect copays, and all of the other tasks that accompany a successful practice, on their own. The admin staff is the backbone (hehe, that pun wasn't initial intended, I swear). Kara was AMAZING in helping to make this happen for my baby girl on short notice. I am very grateful to have been connected with her and look forward to seeing her at our next visit as well. She made my little girl feel comfortable, eased her anxiety about wearing a boot, she was friendly and kind and very organized. Claudia was training with her and she was confident and sweet and if she is learning from Kara, she will be a great asset to the team as well. I suffered a very bad fall in October. At Boca Raton Regional Hospital, they recommended that I have surgery on my upper left leg where it meets the hip. Dr. Jonathan Courtney performed the surgery on that Sunday morning to repair my upper left leg. Three screws were implanted to hold my bone together. Dr. Courtney is a very caring, compassionate doctor and a highly skilled surgeon. I was in the hospital for five days. Six weeks after the surgery, I went to Dr. Courtney's office at BocaCare Orthopedics in Deerfield Beach for x-rays to make sure that the bone is healing. Good News. My hip area is healing nicely, even though I am still in a lot of pain. The entire office at BocaCare Orthopedics seems to run very smoothly. I visited this orthopedic practice in Boca Raton to see Dr. Weatherall for an examination, after fracturing my foot. While the x-ray technician and doctor was good, everything leading up to seeing them was horrible. They are located on the third floor of a very busy medical building (among other medical buildings) with mostly garage parking, which was full and a good distance from their suite. I was on crutches. It took me nearly 30 minutes to find parking and hobble up to the third floor. (And btw, I'm a young person). I entered the building wearing a new surgical type mask to comply with the Covid safe rules. After arriving on the third floor and before I was permitted to enter the waiting area, I went through a lengthy scrutinization process and was REQUIRED to wear a mask that they provided. I was offended having to discard my brand new mask, particularly because of the reason cited -"they didn't know where my mask had been or how long I had been wearing it." Keep in mind that I'm still wavering on crutches. I waited another 10 minutes to give my completed paperwork to a very unfriendly and rude woman who was on the phone. She glared at me and made me feel like I was interrupting something. I even had to complete additional paperwork that they neglected to send to me in advance. I was then called to see the doctor, by a male assistant who asked me if I had been there previously for an injection. Really?! Apparently, he had the wrong patient chart, which was surprising to me because I identified myself by name and DOB to at least three people prior. This office terrible... unfriendly, unorganized and uncaring. I hope that the doctors in this practice will read this review so they can improve their Frontline staff. read more

Boca "Care" Orthopedics doesn't "Care" at all!!!!!!!!! if you do not have insurance that covers the visit and you cash pay. They gave a cash pay price on the phone for the visit, xrays and services (example a shot) I explained my out-of- state insurance doesn't cover and I booked the appt. Even though I said I was in a lot of pain they still gave me an appt for the following week. I waited for the appt trying all the home remedies I could and then drove there with difficulty with my Mom wanting to accompany me- not so easy for her to sit long in the car as well. First the plethora of forms the office had emailed me wouldnt open - I showed them upon arrival- we were still a half hour early. We would've been an hour early but I knew the building but not the suite number - they said they would email their address but again the document wouldn't open. Once at the building we tried to call them but after over twenty plus minutes of listening to the automated message without anyone picking up, someone in the lobby thought they had heard Dr. Rothenberg was on the 3rd floor. (His name is not yet on the directory- apparently he just started there weeks prior.) To add to the aggravation, the lights went out in the building and the alarm sounded in the elevator! so we had to get out prying the doors open and going into the other elevator that worked- took another five minutes. Still we arrived thirty minutes before appt time and I proceeded to fill out all the forms as directed. They staff acted like my going to cash pay was not previously discussed. I was asked if I had any insurance. I explained once again my husband was told when he purchased it that it did not cover out of state. They said that most insurances are covered out of state. I said honestly our insurance agent who sold us this policy said it did not cover and that I was really in pain so to kindly accept the cash pay as discussed on the phone. It was $169 plus xrays plus whatever service the doctor renders. They insisted they wanted to try to verify my insurance- my husband emailed me all the pertinent insurance info (I'm sure they were trying to help) but thry said they didn't have time to call the insurance (my husband had already and was told it wasn't covered) because the doctor was off to a conference very shortly and I was the last patient (at 1pm) I paid the initial cash pay visit price and the doctor came out (Rothenberg) and curiously said we can go and talk for a "few minutes." He took me a room and said it didn't make sense to see me. He said that if I don't go through insurance (which I already told them I could not) that treatments are expensive and he is "saving" me by not examining me. (I had brought xrays with me and was hoping he could just shed some light on my situation, maybe give me a shot or some basic treatment for pain that I had to pay out of pocket and explain what course of action I had to take." He said if you have to have surgery it could be a lot of money. I think he mentioned 20,000. I told him I wasn't going to do surgery in Florida since I don't live here. He said once you get into the system as cash pay- you will remain there forever for this condition even if I see another doctor-and once they notated it is cash pay- I will not be able to go through insurance for anyone else, and he had no more time to explain because he was out of time because he was going to a conference. I told him I paid already the cash pay price- he sounded surprised- and I had told them even on the phone when I made the appt- and I said if he as running off and wouldn't see me- then to at least refund my money. So even though I had explained the situation in advance and again in person to their staff, and come prepared with cash, waited a week, dealt with their totally messed up phone system, drove there in pain with my Mom in tow, arrived early in spite of it all and been told I was his last patient and he had to get out soon, and paid the cash price they gave me- he opted not to treat me. When I was leaving in tears I said to my Mom (and he overheard) that he took a hypocritic oath, he said he would have reluctantly treated me and then said he didn't say what he said that no one would treat me after anywhere except as a perpetual cash pay patient saying actually the truth is he didn't know and there was no time to call insurance. Well there you have it. It's all about worry over how the doctor will get paid and if you can afford it. No compassion for the pain I was in or had been in all week and made a 45 minute trek to come plus had an ordeal finding the place due to their incompetence. If you have great insurance, or a huge wad of cash to flash at this doctor, then he will see you if he's not racing off and there is time - even though you came early- to verify it- then maybe he will actually help you. I'm glad it didn't work out because I want a compassionate doctor who is concerned with your pain. read more
