The food wasn't the greatest. Tried the steak, chorizo, and pastor. The pastor was decent and the best tasting one. Chorizo was meh, bland. The steak was horrible. Did not taste like the carne asada that you would expect. Almost taste like the meat was slightly boiled or something. Just not good. Everyone else said it was "ok, nothing to write home about". Went in to see if my favorite was on the menu, Lengua is not always on the menu and was so happy to see they did have it there. The Lengua tacos were so delicious! I ordered that and the ground beef and both were good but next time I will definitely get all Lengua! Highly recommend! Was running errands while on my lunch break today and ended up across the street from this establishment. It's in a shopping mall and it's just a little hole in the wall. Nothing fancy but it was clean. There were a few people having lunch and they had door dash orders to get ready. The lady who took my order was very pleasant and took care of me right away. I ordered two steak tacos and a taco Al pastor. I ordered them with cilantro and onions and also got an order of rice. I normally don't eat a lot for lunch but everything looked good on the menu. I needed something fast and to go. They did a great job getting my order ready quickly. My tacos were ok. I liked the Al pastor better than the steak and I really liked their green sauce. It was just the right amount of spicy and fresh. Normally I like the tacos from up the street better but these were good and cheaper. I'd like to try their tortas next. Easily best Mexican food I've had way better tacos than Jaliquos tacos.Chicken is nice and moist flavorful. Chimichanga Is the BEST and the size is huge. Love this place. Last night I ate here for the FIRST TIME, I was invited by a wonder Couple I know who actually know how picky I am. They had posted a photo of Social Media a dish they had. I looked DELICIOUS. So last night I had it, Shrimp, Beans, Rice that had TONS of GARLIC in it. The GARLIC was the Bonus for me. It was DELICIOUS. Me and my friends wanted to give this place a chance, despite the lack of crowd. But now I know why they barely have customers. The food was a total let down. BUT THAT ALL COULD HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN if the customer service wasn't complete trash. When I called to complain about the food asking for a refund, they told me to bring the food back and IMMEDIATELY accused me of LYING. She stated that "Some people want their money back, even when they eat the food." That was so insulting. But we gladly brought all the food back, down to the cups of salsa & sour cream. I'll never go back. The food wasn't worth $20, LET ALONE $50. When we got there, an old man actually checked our food we brought back on TOP of the counter and the flour tortillas where they also pack everything. Containers that my 4 friends and I have touched & spreaded germs on. And to me... during a global PANDEMIC OR NOT that's not very sanitary. He wasn't wearing gloves either. Had high hopes for Boca but left disappointed. The food was kinda bland with not much flavor overall. The plus was its good sized portions except I didn't finish anything on the plate due to taste. Had kids screaming in the back ground and running around unsupervised. Lots of additional charges added to bill. Charged for fountain drink refills yet not told, charged higher prices than stated on menu, charged for using cC and not told. I don't mind paying but I don't like when ppl sneak charges on my bill without notifying guest. Skip this joint and head any other better options in the area. read more

I don't understand the 3 star rating. Yes, it is small and does not have the best atmosphere, but they have the best shrimp tacos in the area. Most Mexican restaurants in or near the tri-cities don't even have shrimp tacos. My husband also loves the torta meals, because he says, "They are such a good deal!" Still won't supply salsa verde as asked for. It takes away from the experience, the food is good, but so much better with Salsa Verde. If it's a money thing, put it on the menu and I'll buy it. Refried beans and rice It was a Uber eats delivery order First, the steak had mushy fat pieces in their meat (not quality meat). Then they gave me NO limes at all (or plastic utensils either to eat my food!!) The rice is BLAND and tacos areBLAND as well, Limes were Very much needed!! And the green sauce didn't get me nowhere because that wasn't even spicy or hot or flavorful... You can really tell that all their meats are cooked days ago and just tossed on the grill with some oil to warm them back up. The steak is terrible and gamey and the pastor is just heartburn flavored pork in a tub. The chicken is bland but the best of the lot. The salsas range from screaming hot to tomato paste bland but all somehow seem flavorless. The lettuce in the burritos is always kinda greasy and the ingredients are clumped together so no bite has any sort of balance. The torta I had was bland, the bread was mushy, but it was fairly huge. The one possibility for a saving grace is that the chips are fantastic. Absolutely perfect chips..... and garbage salsa. This place was good years ago but I can't remember a good meal here in the last year or two. Simple. Authentic. Cheap. Ordered out just yesterday and got steak tacos on corn tortillas with salsa verde on the side. The double layered tortillas overflow with meat and usually a meal on their own. They have great deals on lunch and full meals with rice and beans. Really enjoy their salsa especially verde. Not a huge fan of their guacamole kind of bland but it improves if you add a splash of one of their salsas. The restaurant itself is a little funky but endearing and is dry. The service is always pleasant and prompt. Would love to enjoy a cold Modelo with my tacos but I guess that is what carry out is for. For taste that rivals El Taco Grande but prices that don't Boca is a perfect option. read more

Awful service. The women who call themselves waitresses must not understand the term hospitality. Which trust me has a huge impact on my rating. Secondly I would love to add their day old stale chips do not settle well as a first impression. A bag of tostitos would please my pallet more. And their salsa is homemade but boring and watered down. Lastly, the food is nothing bold or pleasant. A dollar and some change a piece. but I was so full after the meal that I literally fell asleep in the restaraunt. Some call it the itis! Some call it working too hard. To anyone considering Boca Burritos, First off, without a doubt their food is good. No denying that; however, their customer service is nasty, and unprofessional. Long story short, after placing an order and calling them back within 47 seconds to give them a complimentary call to cancel the order, I was then on the phone with an EXTREMELY RUDE, and CONFRONTATIONAL waitress that spoke down to me and... ready for it.... proceeded to HUNG UP on me. The fact that the place was virtually empty at noon should have waved a huge red flag. After I ordered the enchilada lunch special, the cashier asked if the order was for there or to go. i requested eating there, assuming I would be given a portable tray of food to eat at a nearby table. Instead, I was ushered into the dining area in the next room where I sat until a waitress who looked as confused as I was reluctantly took my order. While the waitress wasn't rude, she wasn't particularly pleasant or friendly either - maybe someone had yanked her away from a good soap opera to wait on me. Now on to the food......disappointingly small portions (the two enchiladas seemed only slightly bigger than my thumbs, roughly 2 tablespoons of refried beans topped with a pinch of cheese, 2 tortilla chips (not kidding), a dab of lettuce with tomatoes and a relatively decent amount of rice). But, the biggest turnoff was the poor quality of the food: enchiladas had the flavor of corn-flavored cardboard with tasteless tomato sauce splashed on top; beans were completely bland - and their sickly gray color did not make them any more appetizing; rice was dry and flavorless. While I'm not exactly a fan of burn-your-tongue-off-spicy food, it is incredible that Mexican food ANYWHERE can be this bland. Taco Bell is more "authentic" than this place. After this unappealing (and unsatisfying) meal, my order was then rung up by the cashier for $8.86 (the lunch special is only $7.25. When I asked the cashier if this was the correct charge for the lunch special, she mumbled something unintelligible and gestured toward the dining room - I assume indicating there was an extra charge for eating in the dining room (???). If so, why not inform me of this when I first ordered? I left feeling hungry AND ripped off. The one positive is the dining room - spacious and very clean. But hardly worth the sub-par food, stingy portions and poor service. read more

Food is okay, if I had time I would drive to Aurora to get real tacos. Their customer service is the worst. I just ordered my food, paid the lady and she pointed to bags of food for me to grab mine. I grabbed one, made it back to work only to find out it is not mine. Nothing is tagged and they don't give you any receipts. When I brought the food back, they acted like I stole from them. I had argued with my friends, defending boca, but now I have to finally say- it's not. Tonight I carried out my order. Service was bad from cashier. I didn't feel the slightest bit valued and wasn't even told to have a good night or to come back again. Burrito was ok- size is pretty good and plenty of meat but quality is bad. Greasy steak with little flavor. Costed me $8 w sour cream & guac. Hope to see this place make a 180, I believe the owner is a nice guy. Quick fix takeout Mexidinner because the bf and I decided that we wanted to eat our tacos in pajamas... cue Boca Burritos for our meal. Fast made to order serice? Yep. Friendly English speaking cashier? Yep. Tasty Horchata? Yep, yep. Fresh tasting delicious chips? Eh I prefer the ones we have in the bag. Salsa? Great flavor, but a little watery. Beans? Also quite thinned out and lacking flavor...Rice? Mediocre at best. Portion sizes? Varied.. pork in green sauce was still enough for 2 Chrissy sized meals, but the bf probably would have devoured it in one sitting... steak fajitas were ginormous and even bf in his slow eating glory couldnt finish. I work in a medical building near them and we had high hopes for this place, we had 7 different orders for them which was explained over the phone and we had given them names to go with the orders. even though this was explained the person ringing us out had an issue with having so many orders with cash or credit, she made it a point to roll her eyes and huff and puff with each one. the food was not what I expected, no flavor and the salsa was really watered down. Tried Boca last night for the first time and was horribly disappointed - while service was quick and pleasant - I did not enjoy the flavor of the food at all. I like my food flavorful and spicy. The three items we tried (Grilled Steak Taco, Potato & Chorizo Sopes and Steak Torta) had zero spice and flavor even after adding all of the hot sauces/salsa provided. The verde was literally like light green water. This lack of spice and flavor was a disappointment to me and my dining partner, but it wasn't until I sat down to write this review did I notice on the front of their takeout menu the following: "Authentic Mexican Food: If you haven't tried our: MEXICAN FOOD, it is not highly seasoned and is not preheated. We prepare our dishes right from scratch. PLEASE GIVE US TIME TO PROPERLY PREPARE YOURS." If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, please turn around and leave. I ordered the steak burrito and honestly, I might as well have gone to Chipotle. I'd consider Chipotle much more authentic than this place. My husband ordered the Milanesa torta. Both items were bland. The burrito literally only had the meat, beans, and lettuce. Where was the tomato, cheese, sour cream, avocado??? They also call this steak burrito, not really. I could tell they use a cheap cut of beef. The torta was meh- definitely not authentic. It was, as the burrito, lacking flavor. The only semi-decent thing we tried was the horchata. All in all, we will not be back. read more
