From the bid to the final walk through, they demonstrated care, attention to detail, answered all of my (many) questions, provided helpful suggestions, and were flexible both in the design process as well as when my house presented a number of unforeseen challenges (soffits for days; deep chippy paint requiring 5+ skim coats). I could talk more about the fact that they're a professional team with years of experience outside of Backdrop, that they communicate well (timely, pertinently) both in person and electronically, that they delivered exceptional results -- but it's the fact that they care about the work they're doing - Kendrick said he feels like his 'name' is going on the side of the house - and the fact that they want to support and maintain the integrity of our 1909 home while helping it fit our style... that's what makes them unique. I was blown away by the amount of prep work, the methodical process, and their openness to talking about the progress, next steps, and covering all the tangential requests I had along the way. I felt like I could ask them anything and they were more than happy to either incorporate a reasonable request or help explain the rationale behind the work. Finally a personable team of professionals that do more and care about more than just their trade. Alex has a wide range of skills from his experience in remodeling, etc. that allowed him to handle any requests or ideas we threw at them. We had decorative windows on our 3rd floor and Alex went above and beyond in the removal, prep, some repair, and replacement onto the house. He also went the extra mile around a number of utilities on the side of our house and ensured that the wires, A/C lines, boxes, etc. were all in a good spot to be painted. While the entire team is extremely customer-service oriented, Alex really exemplifies the company's desire to make things right, leave us with work that we're happy with, and maximize our investment in our home. Recently we had the need to relocate back to Minnesota from KS where Beltman had originally moved us many years ago. Because of the professional treatment our move received the last time, we went back, naturally looking at other firms to keep things fair, but finally deciding upon re-activating our relationship and engaging them for the return move. While we had been in KS, we unloaded furniture and did some down-sizing, so our relocation need wasn't as extensive as the outbound move from MN, but the business approach, process, support, delivery experience and follow through were the same. This is an exceptional relocation company regardless of the location of the origination of your move or the final destination. The employees are all committed to caring for your goods as if their own, and getting them to your destination quickly and safely. All tiers of support act according to the same credo. Sales, administration, support, drivers, packers and loaders. We will most assuredly select them again if/when a move is in our plans. My advice is to at least have a conversation with them, quote them and think carefully. In our case, two times we made a solid decision that protected our stuff and delivered it safely, on time, on budget and with courteous service.

The estimator came out with a day's notice and gave me a low, fair estimate. The move coordinator worked behind the scenes to keep things going. I did find her to be the weakest link, however. She tried to move my pack day, which wasn't an option. She also pushed back a lot on timelines. The packers were prompt and excellent. I ended up with one or two small items broken, but nothing major. My pack and truck load were accomplished in under a day on a 2+ bedroom apartment. The driver, Jose C., was amazing. He delivered earlier than I had dared to dream. He worked constantly and quickly. He was polite and friendly. A++ effort from him.
