They told me they were busy and to move my car because another customer needed to move. I left my car running and hobbled out to help this young man. He had groceries that obviously came out of the trash. I got a bag from my car and helped him myself. My sister said one of the men who worked at Bob's called me an "asshole". The young man who fell was struggling to get up and not one of these 4 employees who saw him tried to help him. I did go into the business and told them they should all be ashamed of themselves. I wonder if they would treat a fellow human being this way, how well do they care for our cars. I will never go back, and I will encourage others not to go back. What has happened that people won't help others in need. Why wouldn't someone take a minute to help him, at least help him out of the middle of the road in front of their business. So here's why : I came up to visit my best friend in Chico. I live in Southern California and drove 550+ miles in my old beat up Honda Civic. On my way home, barely 60 miles in on my voyage, my car started to overheat and I immediately had it towed back to Chico. I took it to these guys at Accurate Auto the next day, and they came highly recommended by a mechanic friend that didn't have time to look at my car. They said they would check out why it was over heating and needed it for a couple hours- no problem, any shop would say that, especially since they already had a few cars being worked on at the time. They had me sign a paper saying what I agreed to have them check out, it literally said "check for overheating", and an estimate of $0.00. (WOW- no one in SoCal charges absolutely NOTHING to look at your vehicle.) I get a call about 3 hours later and the mechanic said they did not find anything wrong with my car. They ran smog diagnostic checks to ensure my head gasket wasn't blown, checked the entire system for leaks or cracks in all the hoses and my radiator, checked the belts, fan, and ensured the water pump was working- nothing wrong. I was so glad to hear that nothing was wrong and the probable cause was due to low coolant and the 104 degree heat. So I came to pick up my car about an hour or so later and the mechanic told me the same thing as he did over the phone. He also said he let it run for 45+ minutes to see if it would overheat again, and still nothing. I told him how thankful I was that he looked and inspected my car for any possibility of it overheating again, especially since I live so far away. When I asked how much I owed him, he said nothing. I asked, "Seriously?!?" And he responded by saying "Well I couldn't find anything wrong with your car, how could I charge you for that?" I was completely in awe. I nearly cried because you cannot find that kind of kindness these days. I was scared that being a young female in an auto shop I would get taken advantage of and have them tell me various other things that needed to be done for a pretty penny, but nope, not with Accurate Auto! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place, because not only are they friendly, but they're HONEST. I could not have gotten this high quality of service back home where I live, and I appreciate this SO much. I was looking to pay anywhere from $40-$125 for this service, running tests and whatnot (a normal price for this kind of service in SoCal), but I walked away with peace of mind and a thankful heart for the people that run this business. By the way- I made it home safely, and the car ran perfectly. Not one sign of overheating. I can only thank the wonderful people of Accurate Auto for this peace of mind. The free rides they provided me really were a HUGE help, and the office staff (I'm so sorry I can't remember names!) are super friendly and efficient. I was in a bind with an alternator that went out and, as with Lexus, the factory one was pretty pricey. Being honest, the lady on the phone told me they won't install anything other than OEM for something like an alternator when I told her I couldn't really afford it at that time and asked if they'd install a cheaper non-oem one. So she then did some more digging and was able to save a lot of money on an OEM she found but it wouldn't arrive until the next day and then they'd install it. I was so thankful. BUT THEN! She called a few hours later and said that the owner actually went out and found one locally and picked it up for me, it wasn't the cheaper price but they still honored the price AND my car was already done and ready to pick up! This saved me from having to arrange for a ride from and to work from Paradise the next day to pick up my car. Just outstanding customer service and great work. There's no pressure and they really really know what they're doing. I would take any car there they'd work on, not just Toyota/Lexus. My mother in law also has taken her Toyota there for over 15 years. I very highly recommend them.

I went in for two separate items, an emissions service that popped up on my dash and some…read morerattling/noise coming from my AC compressor. The customer service, specifically from Cody, was below subpar. He was rude, came off condescending and argumentative. Jay on the other hand, he was a pleasure to deal with. Personable and professional. They initially were going to charge for the diagnostic they had ran the day I dropped off the car, where it clearly stated that it was a thermostat reading in the second page, not just the code that pops up on the first page shown in the diagnostic device. When I mentioned this, Cody stated the "college kid" does not know what he was talking about, and that the diagnostic tool only gave a code reading, despite my standing beside the technician and it clearly read the thermostat. Jay was courteous on the phone when I called after they initially texted my quote for the items asked, along with suggestions from a general inspection. He was professional and accommodating and removed the ~$270 to diagnose the thermostat reading since the diagnostic the day prior was accurate. I was charged $91.38 specifically to diagnose the issue with the noise concern coming from my ac compressor, which still persists after picking up my vehicle. I noticed it the moment i turned my car on when picking it up and let Cody know, as he was standing in the bay of the shop. They did not resolve the issue, and my car is now having a difficult time shifting from first to second gear with the AC running, with the sound increasing with the RPMs, only decreasing in noise once the shift is complete, jolting while trying to engage. It also shakes when Idling with the AC on and is emitting a funky smell along with white smoke coming from my driver side vent for about 1-2 minutes. They claim on the paper work the temperature outlet got down to 43 degrees - the air blowing now is hot with AC on. They charge an additional $237.21 to service my AC system. They did inform me that the noise could be due to early signs of compressor failure. Essentially, they charged me $237 just to add Freon and check the system for leaks, plus the $91 for a diagnostic for a man issue unresolved or identified. I would not go back here. Precision or Tedious Repairs is worth the extra cost to ensure proper and professional service. Overall, they charged me $634.07 to fix the thermostat, the ac diagnostic and ac systems service. I now have a much larger issue at hand.
