I made an appt with them to close my pool a week in advance, the day before they were supposed to arrive they called and left a voicemail on my phone saying ; "Because its supposed to rain tomorrow, we have to cancel your appt." I called back and left a message saying "Shouldn't we wait until tomorrow to see if it actually is raining? They didn't call back so the day of the appointment it is beautiful and sunny out here, there is no rain so I called them to see if they were still coming and he exclaimed "BLAME THE WEATHERMAN!!" Then he said "Ill be there tomorrow" I said ,"But i took off today for this and I have to work tomorrow" He said "You don't need to be there just leave the gate open." Why would I let a stranger on my property messing with my pool and not be here? I dont know him or the quality of his work. So i asked, "Shouldnt you have just waited to see if it actually did rain before cancelling my appointment?" And he said "THAT'S IT, IM NOT COMING TO YOUR POOL!!" And hung up on me. Well, it looks like he does this alot from these reviews. So I just reported him to BBB. I need to be compensated for the loss of time off work, the extra chemicals, the extra electricity to keep pool open until I can get an adult mature professional company. We had a great experience with Bob! An issue came up and Bob's communication was tremendous. He informed us immediately and we didn't have to call him at all. He worked with us through the whole effort and made our new liner install effort a total success for Memorial Day weekend!! So much so everyone who seen it thought it was a brand new pool. After being extremely rude to me, including a sidebar conversation he was having with his girlfriend, he hung up on me. Made the decision to not invest 10s of 1000s of dollars very easy. I thought I'd try Bob's Pools to close my pool in 2011, due to their 'affordable' charge to do so. We provided all chemicals and would put the cover on ourselves (to save money). They came out when promised, though I wasn't there to oversee cleaning process. They did a poor job of: * Cleaning film from liner * Did not remove stairs or railing * Unsure of chemical use - when removed cover in 2012, the pool was slime green with thick algae on liner walls (NEVER happened in years past - always clear and clean) * Did not properly flush lines, as upon opening in 2012, 1 of 3 pipes cracked and needed replacing/repair When pool opened in 2012, large respected (and expensive) pool company informed me that lines were not properly drained, resulting in freeze and cracking of pipes. In addition, doubted proper chemicals were used to prevent algae and fungal growth in the water. Had to use an abundant of chemicals to counteract the nasty water infection! Price is a big deciding factor when using someone, but in the end, it cost me $300 for repairs and additional chemicals! Wouldn't use again and would not favorably recommend to anyone. read more

Bob has taken care of our pool since we built our house 20 years ago. He and his company have always been there for us and are very responsive, knowledgeable and most importantly trustworthy. Every pool is different and they all have issues of some kind eventually. Bob takes the time to explain clearly what the potential issues are when we have had problems and will even check on our pool periodically when he's in the area working with another customer. Bob came through, I called 4 different pool places. One other person called me but just said call back in September and maybe I can help you than. Bob found my in ground pool liner and had it in a week and half later. That was with him having to call and find it, manufacturing companies are closed. Eric and his partner were awesome, and went beyond. They had a little trouble with the job, and because of water delivery (my job) but came back everyday. When they finished, it was PERFECT!! I can't thank you enough, I wanted my pool fixed (yesterday) and you made it happen Bob. This he made happen though the corona shut down and no one working these days. THANK YOU BOBS POOLS. Let's start by saying they do not listen to there customers. They give one quote and come out and say they can't do it on that day because the job is bigger then expected, duh I told you that on the phone . Then call you and leave nasty messages like it's your fault that you called them to come out and clean your pool , duh , that why I called you !!!!!!! Then to proceed to give you a higher quote. This company is very unreliable they will never be there on the date and time you discussed and wont call to let you know either to reschedule etc. Trying to contact them is also an issue as no one barely answers the phone or returns messages. The hours they say they are open doesn't matter either cos they close whenever they want too so makes it very hard to know when to contact them for help. On top of that they don't bring the chemicals or things needed to do the maintenance for which they were hired once they finally show up. They used my Polaris and my chemicals and charged me 100 bucks? ANGIE AND MIKE had no chlorine tablets told me they would bring some and never brought them. I went out and purchased those myself as well. I tried calling to speak to the owner Bob had to leave a message. I received a call back from Karen who was VERY RUDE and disinterested in hearing what I was dealing with as the customer. She told me they were at my home on August 16th which is funny cos there were no signs of anyone being there or a bill on my door and again the chlorine tablet holder was empty. I tried to explain this to her she tells me if i don't let her talk she will hang up and then she just hung up on me. I called back to just ask to speak to the owner so I could express my concerns. Well Bob the owner answered the phone and says ms ward if your not going to shut up then ill hang up. All i said was are you Mr. Bob and the man hung up on me. I tried to call back several times to try and explain my side of what I had been going thru with his company he would pick up and hang up on me (about 3 times). VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I am guessing from that behavior that this is a normal complaint for his company and that he clearly doesn't care about his customers which is how he has a business to begin with. I am putting this on here so that people don't waste their time with this company they have one excuse after another. ALL LIES! Just do yourself a favor and pick another company. Hopefully this review saves someone the time and money Ive wasted for the past month and a half with this company. I have never been so disrespected by a company or owner.
