Retired Navy Commander, Bob Felton, has volunteered (he gets paid nothing) to organize local day workers and help them market and advertise themselves for additional work when they are between projects.
He has several young men he has known for years, who have worked for him personally. Recently, I hired several of Bob's crew to my wife and I catch-up on our "Honey Do List. Not only do they do ALL aspects of lawn care, power washing, house repair and maintenance, but also do cutting grass, landscaping, cutting, trimming bushes, mulching, edging beds, removing tree branches, fertilizing, grub control, Roto-tilling gardens, but they help my wife and I with virtually EVERYTHING. They do house cleaning, assembles things, wash windows, repairs plumbing & electrical fixtures, paints inside & outside, cleans gutters, fixes anything broken, etc., etc., etc. They do excellent professional work, are mild mannered, trustworthy, and very respectful. They charge $50/hr./man , and prefer to come out for a full days work - 8 hours. My wife and I build our "Honey Do List" which neither of us can do any longer because we are both in our 70's pushing 80's, and just turn it over to Bob's crew member once every month.
