BEWARE- of Mid-County Generacs- Jaime Diaz Owner…read more - Since making my post in support of Jaime Diaz company Mid-County Generacs a lot of things have come to my attention regarding the way Jaime does business. Due to my prior post and support I put behind Jaime I have numerous other interested parties reach out to me. My sister and her family , my uncle , and other people in need of a generator for security and some due to health . Well I can no longer stand behind my original post. Since my install my sister and my uncle have both received either no equipment and in my uncles case equipment that is 10 years old and not in working order currently. Jaime Diaz I use his name because a company is only as good as the owner strives for it to be. Currently Jaime has $4,000 of my sister's money and they have no generac installed . He attempted to install a unit that was 15 years old without success. The unit stayed onsite for a couple weeks until finally my sister and her family had enough of the lies and run around and asked for their money back for breach of contract. Jaime sent multiple messages promising their money back and even asked to pick up the old unit to sell and get their money back only to say he no longer had the money. This morning he promised to have some of the money a $1,000 installment and then wound pay the remaining out over 4 payments . Today he has paid $169 with no communications of when more would be paid. In the case of my uncle he installed a unit 10 years old and currently is not running and Jaime continues to say he will be out to fix the issue and after two weeks the unit has not been touched and still not in working order. My uncle paid $10,000 for a used unit without a generac warranty and not in working order. In my case the install was a good install but come to find out the unit is 2 years old. I contacted generac and my warranty didn't start until my install which is good but is still a 2 year old unit. Now I know why his price was much lower. You pay for what you get in most cases. I post this because it is imperative that anyone out there reading this avoid Jaime Diaz and Mid-County Generacs. He is dishonest and his word means nothing. He comes across as a smooth talker and honest but I can promise you it is all not true. Everything I have said in this updated post is accurate and honest without opinions and fact based. Beware of Jaime Diaz and Mid-County Generac.

However, I got the shock of my life when I called them back to get them to call an elderly friend and quote them a unit. Aaron one of the partners answered. I attempted to give him the persons name and in a rushed, rude tone he basically told me to hang up and tell the elderly person to call him! I then tried to ask him about the oil filter for the unit they sold me. In a snobbish tone he made me call his even-ruder Technician Raymond. I barely got the question out and he rudely tried to talk down on me and acted as though I was a bother, even though I just bought a $12,000 unit. Even though this was my first call-in, They made me feel like the sale and process was over and they were through with me. I wanted to tell them are many Generator companies out there besides them.

My parents are in their 80's so my husband took a vacation day so that he could be there when they came out to answer any questions or address any concerns. My husband called two days before to confirm the appointment so that he wouldn't waste a vacation day. When he called to confirm, the guy that he spoke with sounded very irritated that he doubted that they would show up. While running errands a little before 10 Thursday morning my husband missed a call that looked like it was from a cell phone. No message was left. We were at my parents at 10 am and waited a while. My husband tried calling the number for the missed call several times with no answer and a full voicemail box so that he couldn't leave a message. He called the office and they said if the guy wasn't there at 11:15 to call them back. Around 11:30 the guy finally answered and said that he had called earlier because he didn't have the address. Had he left a message we could have called him right back and given the address to him. The address was given to the company when the appointment was made so he could have called the office to get the address. Instead of doing those things he went to his next appointment. He said now he had other people in front of us, their fault, not ours, and he would come that afternoon. We never heard back from him so my husband called the office a little before 4 pm to see when he would be there. The guy that he spoke with, the same one who was irritated that we doubted they would show up, was very rude. He said the guy who was supposed to come had gone home for the day and could come Friday. No one ever called to come back that afternoon. My husband took vacation Thursday to take care of this. He has to work Friday!! I know that people are busy and things are different since covid but a little communication and professionalism goes a long way.
