Better think twice before hiring this company!!! We haven't heard back from anybody about our refund! I called our banking facility this morning and deposit notices are processed as they are received. As of now, there is still no refund!! Let's recap how we got to this point..... 8/14/18 met with John Goodyear with Goodyear Audio 8/15/18 agreed to quote to get our surveillance system working properly and gave debit card for down payment of $1,500.00 and a date of 9/5/18 was set for work to be done 9/5/18 was a no show and no phone call 9/11/18 no contact with Goodyear Audio about missed date of 9/5/18 until we called and was told we were not on the books so agreed for another date to show up 9/20/18 was the new date for work to be done and still a no show 9/21/18 we called to cancel job and requested a refund 9/24/18 Jessica called for needed info due to not finding where we made a down payment 9/25/18 Jessica found where we made payment and said refund was processed. Should receive refund in 7-10 business days which my calculation would put it to 10/9/18 10/10/18 here we are today and still no refund and nothing but excuses. The problem does not lie on our end with our banking facility. 10/12/18 filed complaint with Better Business Bureau 10/16/18 I spoke to BBB who told me they just spoke to John Goodyear & he's now saying 7-14 days for refund. Instead of keeping your word to do the job, all we got was more lip service and when 3 agreed dates were missed, then wanted to reschedule yet a 4th time of which at that time we expressed how we had lost faith in Goodyear Audio and requested a refund. We're tired of excuses and would like to be promptly refunded. We gave a down payment in good faith that the work would be done but our money was taken and we were conveniently forgotten! Better Business Bureau Alert: BBB files indicate this business has a pattern of complaints concerning: Customer Service issues, Delayed Delivery issues, Product issues, Service issues and Refund issues. Complainants the business is paid upfront. Following the initial payment, product delivery/installation is delayed and calls and texts to the business are ignored. Once they are finally able to reach the business to re-schedule, the technician does not show up. This results in further delays with customers sometimes waiting months for completion of their contract. Additionally, complainants state they experience problems with equipment not working properly. After failed attempts by the company to address product and service issues, customers request a refund which is promised but not received in a timely manner. Better Business Bureau sent a letter to the company on March 15, 2019 asking Goodyear Custom Audio to address the underlying issues for these pattern of complaints. On March 22, 2019, BBB received email communication from the business owner stating he would like to come in to meet with BBB the following week. To date, BBB has not heard back from him. read more

I paid over $3800 to John Goodyear himself at his office, Goodyear Custom Audio, he told me many different stories with many different dates of when the home audio equipment would be delivered. After waiting over a month, I told him to give me a date or I'd like to cancel the order. He gave me a date and needless to say, it never showed up and he agreed on cancelling the order and refunding the money. The order was made and paid on November 26, 2018, and still on February 27, 2019 he still hasn't refunded a penny. I got the BBB involved, they tried contacting Goodyear Audio, and they were told I'd get a refund, but never did and they revoked his accreditation. There are so many complaints on the BBB, wish they would've had his business updated when I looked before making the purchase. In January 2019 we were using Goodyear to do some technology updates to our home entertainment system. One recommendation they made was for wireless baluns. They turned out to be incompatible to our home system but were still on the itemized charges. John Goodyear assured us that they would be deducted from some future work they would be coming to do. For the "future work" we prepayed $489.38. This was payed so we could have the work scheduled. I made several contacts with them to be scheduled. They never called or emailed back to set up an appointment. After two weeks and several attempts, I finally was scheduled for the morning of February 28, 2019. They never showed. I asked them to just cancel the order and reimburse my credit card. Kevin says he filled out a reversal form and told me it would be 7-10 business days. As of March 19, 2019 (the 12th business day) the charge had not been reversed. I emailed John and Kevin on March 19, 2019 inquiring about the credit card reversal. As of March 22, 2019 they have not responded to my email. read more

Absolutely the worst dealer and I use the term quite loosely in the greater Golden triangle area claiming to sell and support audio and security systems. I had an ongoing situation that included paying for a complete security system up front and battled for two years and never have received what I paid for. I went to the better business bureau and complained and was finally turned my complaint was turned down. now it seems as if the better business bureau has found the pattern and no longer will writer support this dealer. I just received a letter from alarm.com that says it's a notice of option to transformer termination service at generally states that sincerely regret to inform you that good your custom audio video the security dealer that provide your alarm and monitoring and support has not paid alarm.com for the service that we provide and the security dealer has offered to you these services might include wireless alarm backup and wireless alarm signaling interactive web-based system control an event messaging from your alarm sister. Let it go song to advise that since alarm.com has not been paid by Goodyear custom audio we have no choice but to discontinue providing services to you.
