This place was bustling with people whenever we driver by... looks to be a staple in the community. There are a couple of branches from what I hear, but we opted for the original location.
The service was quick at first but as our stay progressed it got more difficult to get help. They did however fill the water without asking which was nice! I guess I'd have to say the service is just a tad above average, though one should consider how busy it is.
I read they have this fruit punch... yes that have this pretty unique fruit punch, it's unique... fruit punch, with watermelon balls and fresh coconut, super interesting. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first, it's not really a drink, it's more of a thing you need to use a spoon to get at. Yet overall I was happy with the unique creation, I love creativity! Just FYI, you might need to order an actual drink :)
The food was interesting as well. They have this special menu for the Maskara Festival. We tried the chicken relleno, it's like meatloaf stiffed chicken! I thought it was pretty good, I've had relleno bangus (fish) and the stuffing was much much better, I could only imagine how this could have turned out, yet not a disappointing dish in the least. We also tried this kilawin with banana leaf hearts, I like this very much, a nice addition to the meal. I did enjoy their stae bebe BBQ with sate rice, quite off the chain in my opinion, best dish of the lunch I thought. The sate flavors were bold enough that it stood out but not too overpowering, quite enjoyable for sure :)
Overall, a good place to stop by and enjoy an artisan fruit punch and a meal! See you next time we're in Bacolod.
