Small frame shop off the beaten path on Chestnut street in Ridgewood with its own parking. Wanted…read moreto go local and convenient and Yelp gave me this steer. I needed a one week turnaround on a custom frame job for a birthday gift and the owner (Jan) assured me she could deliver. The selection of frame and matting was painless and the piece itself was artistically and professionally done as promised. Very pleased with the work -- as was the recipient. Note that a Yelp check-in gets you a 10% discount on your first order -- also noted on the Yelp business page. My only quibble with the service (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is the manner in which the Yelp discount was applied in my case. I didn't check in on Yelp until I was almost out the door after having paid a deposit. Once I mentioned it, Jan told me she already gave me the discount. How could she have known to give me a Yelp discount if I had not yet checked in on Yelp?? I did not dicker about the pricing (north of $200 for a single mat and basic frame) because I needed a quick turnaround and was in a rush. But if I had it to do over again -- I would have paid closer attention to the quoted price BEFORE agreeing to it -- and only then mention the Yelp check-in so that the discount could be applied before paying the deposit. At pick up -- Jan gave me an additional discount on account of the Yelp check-in snafu which was entirely her initiative -- and which I felt was fair. As I am fully satisfied with the work and the value received I enthusiastically recommend Jan and FRAMED for all your framing needs. You will not be disappointed.

We wanted her to be happy and plan the frame and this was closest to her. We waited 10" for customers to complete their order and we walked about to consider frames. After looking at frames, we had ideas. The customers left. I had the poster ready to view on my phone. I asked for help choosing an A2 size frame, moderately priced. Suddenly, the older sales gent went all red in the face and, with significant anger in a very loud voice, said he didn't understand what I wanted. "What A2"? Whaddya mean?" I showed him the piece and said the A2 measurements are right here...and he EXPLODED at me! "I don't need no computers, I don't do that." It was the size of the art I was attempting to show him.
