After getting a few photographs together, it was time to match these works of art with quality and timeless frames. I was both excited and overwhelmed by the many choices in which the village had to offer. I walked up and down Pondfield Road before deciding to buy frames at J. Pocker. I was stopped in my tracks by the window display! In fact, it was the only shop in which I stood outside admiring the work. I heard a lovely voice coming from inside of the shop--which heightened my attention further. The frame shop was decorated with such charm and elegance. It was a pleasure to have a look around the entire shop. Every detail in this shop was put together in such a fashion that made me want to buy everything I saw! I started to imagine where each item could live in my home. The aesthetic was not put together by an amateur. There were about 5 or so customers lined up before me, but my intuition told me to wait. As I excitedly browsed around the shop, I observed the woman in charge behind the counter; she was engaging, knowledgeable and a *great* listener to each person whom I overheard her interact with. With just a few questions for the clients, she quickly grabbed a handful of frames and started piecing things together to see if her suggestions were the clients vision in which they expressed--it was pure magic! I couldn't wait for her to look at my photos and offer her recommendations! When it was finally my turn, I was greeted by this vivacious and charismatic woman, named Leba. Her sprightly attitude was delightfully contagious! She made the entire process from start to finish of picking my frames fun. This takes a lot of skill and she did this effortlessly. I have since then come back as a repeat customer many times and will continue to do so. Not only are the frames exquisite, the art work they procure is rare. Leba's skilled recommendations for frames and art are spot on every time! This lil shop (and Leba) is a gem in Bronxville.

I have never felt rushed here and the quality of the finished products has always been superb. They are expensive, but in this instance you truly do get what you pay for. Be prepared to wait about three weeks, on average, for your picture to be framed. They do not rush and at holidays they can get busy, so be sure to bring them your holiday gift-framing needs by the end of October, at the latest.
