Bober Tea is one of my favorite Boba chains so I decided to stop by because I was in the area and wanted to treat myself with a jasmine green tea boba with an upgraded plush cup. The first thing I noticed was that it was super crowded and hot. Although the line at the ordering kiosk was long, it moved fairly quickly. After I made my order, I decided to use the restroom. It was probably the grossest restroom I have ever been to. Toilet paper all over the ground, smelly and no toilet seat covers! I could have used a gas station restroom instead. But at least there was soap so it could have been worse. So, after all of that... even though the decor was "pretty" - that restroom experience negated all of that. The only good that came out of it was my beverage I ordered. It was ready as soon as I got out of the restroom. I didn't want to stay to take pictures bc I already felt gross. The drink was okay. I don't think the boba was cooked long enough. It was a bit too chewy to my liking but still edible. The plush I got was the best part of it all!!
I would say this place is definitely a great hang out spot and would be worth the price you pay but they need to provide Wi-Fi. Almost $13 for a drink seems a bit much. I did get extras though so that's why it went up but I thought was going to be a bracelet type of gift because the picture showed, it ended up being a key chain. The staff had burned something so it was smoky during one of my quick visits. I had a great review for this location last time but I'm starting to think people won't want to spend money on surprises. No extra should be a mystery gift. The coffee boba I had, I believe was called pink haze, knowing it's a kind of Vietnamese coffee was delicious but the amount wasn't worth the price for a quick stop. My suggestion coming here is to spend time here to make your money's worthwhile. Also take off the forced tip. I know I by passed it and my drink would have been $11 but it's seems forced on. I know I definitely hit skip but when my card already paid the tip was included without my consent. Nothing was was worth tipping there. No employee interaction at all, only because I asked where there surprise gift was was the only time a person talked to me.
All of the bober locations I've gone to are so cute inside! Definitely the best place for photo ops and influencers! The drinks are good, a little on the sweet side but not too bad. They also have mochi donuts but we didn't try them this time. This location has a few different rooms that you can rent out I believe, and they each have different decor!
I had to check out this place after hearing so much about it, and I'm glad I did! First off, it's absolutely adorable--everything is pink, which happens to be my favorite color, so I was in love with the vibe right away. I wasn't sure what to order, so I just went with my gut, and all four drinks we tried turned out to be delicious! We also got the mystery plushie cup, which was a hit with the kids--they were thrilled with the cute little keychains that came with it. The staff member at the counter was super friendly and patient with us, even though it was a bit busy and we took our time deciding on our order. She handled everything with a smile and made the experience even better.
My experience at Bober is generally positive. I usually come here with a friend and we split 3 donuts and a drink together! Pros: Fast service, online menu is comprehensive/allows for customization of drinks, donuts are delicious Cons: Drinks are SWEET and don't have adjustments on them (likely because they come with powder/pre made perhaps?), donuts sell out at the end of the day so if you come later you'll have a limited array to choose from, since they're made at the beginning of the day they're not as fresh as you would get at other locations (MoDo in Santa Clara, for example)
This is such a cute boba place in Stockton. My little cousins wanted to come there so I decided to drive them over. I was pleasantly surprised by the decorations. It's very girly and cute in there. Tons of pink roses & lots of photo-op spots within. We ordered through a touch screen and our drinks came out right away. Everyone loved their drinks! The boba was nicely cooked. The people who worked there were really friendly and nice. Definitely will come back!
The ambiance of this location is amazing and the service was great. I was not expecting to have to order from a kiosk, but it was a smooth process. I gave 4 stars because I was disappointed in the wait. I was hoping to be in and out in under 10 minutes, but I ended up waiting longer. I ordered a sea salt caramel latte smoothie with Boba and it was delicious. I was surprised at the taste of the Boba. Definitely top tier flavor. I also ordered a mochi donut and classic cheese coin. The food and drink were so yummy, but pricey. You are paying for a gourmet experience and I personally think it is worth it as a treat to yourself. Also, came in a fancy cup.
Bober Tea is a very cute aesthetic boba place with awesome study rooms! I love using it to study. This boba spot was pretty good when it first opened but I feel like it has gone downhill. The drinks are super sweet, with few being able to adjust sweetness. Their coffee drinks aren't as strong anymore either. It tastes watered down. They added blended drinks which is awesome because their menu has little selection but $9.70 for blended drinks is insane. That's more expensive than getting a smoothie somewhere else with REAL fruit. Bober Tea sure has gotten comfortable with making their drinks pricey, not taking in consideration of the economy and the young students coming here. They can make their blended drinks nearly $10 and can't clean or fix their bathroom? I've been here recently a few days a week to study and have been waiting for them to fix the bathroom but they continue to leave the toilet paper outside of the roll container, never restock the toilet seat covers, and leave their broken soap container on the sink with minimal soap inside it. There was also pee all over the toilet which luckily they had the spray in the bathroom and I cleaned it. There is nothing sanitary about this place. If their bathroom looks like this, I can't imagine what their kitchen looks like. Other than the aesthetic and a sugary drink, there is no point of coming here. Save your money and support another boba shop because they clearly do not care about their customers.
Unfortunately I will have to stop coming here. The drinks used to be amazing because I used to drive out to Sacramento and visit that location before they opened up in Stockton. Once Stockton opened up, I would go every week because of their stir-fried boba. It was truly the best; however, now the quality is not that great. It's a lot of younger teens that are making the drinks that don't know anything about customer service or food quality. Their boba isn't stir-fried anymore I assume? It just was hard in texture and the drink almost tasted stale. I decided to keep drinking because I didn't want my money to go to waste. The area that I sat by had a little cockroach as well and it was kinda gross. Overall, not the best.
This place is amazing, for blogger and instagramer... you will be delighted how the have a place for ever picture you need to snap and promote their drink. I love their mochi, but the drinks, I more ice than the drink itself, I'm sorry, but, my comment compares to the other tea places I've been. The service was ok. They're just doing their job, and "let me finish my shift" attitude. But, if you really like to stand out with your pic, go at the end of the hall and you'll find a pink phone booth.
I'm from the East Coast so I've never heard of this place before. Back from where I am from I always tell my friends I want some bobers (boba) when we go out. To my surprise, I found this place on yelp and was amazed! They have kiosk stations to order your drinks and they are very convenient. After that your order goes to the workers and they will make your drink. I haven't had black sesame dessert in a long time so this milk tea in particular brings back great childhood memories. Drink: Tasty Staff: Friendly Atmosphere: Chill, nice place to hang with friends
Really good taro boba & very cute style of cups! My daughter loved it inside she was amazed with all the roses everywhere!
Esthetically very pleasing. I had the Pink Haze... a Vietnamese Coffee. I had fried boba with it but it didn't taste any different from regular boba. The coffee was decent but I wasn't over the moon about it. The best part was chit chatting with a local Stockton couple. They encouraged me to take a pic at the "phone booth". They were a gem of a couple to remind me of all the great vibes we still have in town.
Bober Tea has a really pretty and pink decor. They also have a room if you want to get your studies done there. I also love the pink phone booth that they have at the end of the hall. They have good service there and the drinks come out quickly once they've been ordered. I got the strawberry drink there and it is pretty creamy and sweet. One complaint is that the drink does have a lot of ice, I wish there was an option to adjust. Otherwise, it is a pretty good drink. The mochi donuts are also nice, warm, and chewy. read more
Without Mochi donut I have given them leas than 3 stars. The drink is super sweet here like I tossed it away. I think they really cater to American sweet tooth since you don't really taste the tea or its frangrance. My friend order the smoothy w/o whip cream, they charged $2 extra! Omg! And they have the most expensive boba topping in the market that i have seen by far! $0.95?!! Even more expensive than a lot of places in the Bay Area! All in all, this's just my opinion how worth/ not worth I felt to this place. read more

The drinks are okay, nothing I can't get somewhere else. The self serve is okay but not like it helps them go faster, I would rather have someone take my order and tip someone for the service. This was my last time stopping here. It's upsetting when you make the time to stop at a place that is advertising something of good quality only for it to be raw. I made the time to stop for one of these coins, as I'm on the road on my way to work I realized that the coin wasn't properly cooked. (It wasn't the cheese) I tried to called them to see about a replacement but their phones don't work. I work a pm shift so I couldn't go back later. read more

This boba spot is absolutely beautiful! So much floral, so much pastel, it's esthetically pleasing right as you walk in. The kiosks make it easy to order. They offer many teas and mochi donuts. I wish they offered plant based milks for the milk teas though. One thing I think would make ordering better is having the option to adjust ice and sweetness level. A second thing is maybe making the mochi donuts made to order. Service was great, the employee recommended a few flavors for the mochi donuts. I ordered the wintermelon milk tea and for the donuts was funnel, taro, and biscoff. read more

Love this place! Perfect to hang out and/or study or do work! There are two separate study rooms for a more quiet environment, with seating, outlets, and wifi. Outside, there are multiple photo op locations. The main area also has plenty of games to stay and hang out with people! I bought the plastic boba bear sizes/bober sizes, and they're so adorable and reusable! Just have to ask at the front counter. The drinks taste great! Also, the people here are so great! Hailey was so helpful and sweet! read more

Stockton is my hometown, and I haven't lived in Stockton since I moved out of my parent's place after high school. But during major holidays, I visit home and check out all the new places including Bobar tea. The shop is adorable, staff is friendly, good place to study. This place definitely attracts the younger crowd. But the most important thing to me was the quality of the food. I ordered the winter melon tea with boba and I was pleasantly surprised about how much I liked it. The boba was soft, chewy, and sweet. Better than most boba places I've been to. The drink was also really good, well balanced, refreshing. My cup even had "Mickey mouse" ears, which was a nice touch. All in all, I think this is a good place to check out. I will definitely come back for the boba. read more

This place is so cute. I love the decorations and bright colors. There's also a lot of spots to take pictures if you want to. They have two kiosks where you can order so you don't have to talk to anyone if you prefer not to as well. The mochi donuts are sooo yummy! The exterior has a nice little crunch while the inside is light and chewy. The sweetness level is also spot on! On Tuesdays, you can add a mochi donut to your drink order for $1. Awesome. Drinks are good, too. Service is ok. read more

So this place is adorable! So many cute decorations and great places to take photos. If you want a great pic, don't hesitate to come here for your drink. I love that it's automated and you use the kiosk to order. Also, I was able to choose my sweetness level but NOT my ice level which I suggest they look into as an option. Staff was friendly enough and it was very clean inside. I usually go to the T4 near Ssongs but I am sure this place is going to give them a run for their money. However the location and prices at T4 are better if I am being honest. Their donuts are also pretty darn good. I got a 3 pack. You order at the kiosk and you don't choose flavors until your order is ready which can be confusing but you can *kinda* see the options from the kiosk. I know this place is new so I would also suggest a better menu board for the donuts than the small colored writing they currently have on the glass. I saw a pink donut with gold leaf I was so excited to try but when our drinks were ready the employee told me I could choose any 3 donuts EXCEPT that one. No clue why they have them out for everyone to see but they really should put unavailable product in the back. It was disappointing but I made my selections and the taro was really good. Not too sweet with a little tangy bite. I would highly recommend it. The others were a bit plain and I wonder if the frosting was the same on both; if so, add more topping so the customer can get the flavor. The drinks are also good. It may be unpopular but I actually like the mung bean :) and their jasmine tea is one of the best I have had. Overall it's a great stop for a drink and snack and like I said, hands down probably the appealing tea shop in the city. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Hi Dale, thank you for your review and for trying us out! Although…
This boba shop is so cute!! The interior is very nice. They have a flower wall and also this telephone booth inside for pics. The lid of the cups are so cute as well! I got the jasmine milk tea and it was more on the milky side. I could taste the milk more than the tea, which I'm not a fan of. I like a more stronger tea flavor. read more

I was kind of scared that it may be too sweet since I can't change the sweetness on one of my drink but it was delicious as is! Donuts were $3 for 1 and ~$7 for 3 and so on. They didn't have a menu any where you can see except on the electronic contact less order, which was kind of annoying... People took a long time trying to figure out what they had. Then the woman at the counter showed me a paper menu and took my order. I do wish their menu was available to look at when waiting in line for the electronic machine. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful place and I can't wait to come back here! Also I took a pic of the paper menu and I hope it becomes helpful for people on Yelp! read more

Hello Thingna, we appreciate your kind review and are glad that you…
Not sure how many times I've come here to get boba. It's very convenient and there's never really a line when I go. My current go-to drink right now is their roasted oolong with either boba or konjac jelly. I usually don't get boba in my milk teas anymore, but I like how the ones here are small and chewy! read more

Such a cute PLACE!!!!!! Omg I instantly fell in Love with the inside!! So much cuteness all around just look at the photos I took and so many sitting areas and wall decore to take the best pictures. They have quite rooms for studying or chilling with friends and they even have games available to play. The donuts were amazing and so delicious and they are actually really cute as well!! Such a 10/10 ambiance and food. The only reason they didn't t get five star is because they are extremely understaffed so we had to do everything ourselves and I had to wait such a long time for the lady to bring toilet paper. They bathrooms need a little TLC but I'm sure they'll get there because everything else was so beautiful. Parking was extremely easy and many available. read more

Ask the Community - Bober Tea
Do you have non-dairy options for milk?
Hello !! We do not have any non-dairy options for milk. However, all of our labeled “milk teas” are dairy free. The only drinks we use that contain whole milk are our drinks labeled as “lattes”.
Are they hiring? If so, how can I apply?
We unfortunately are not hiring at the moment. If you’d still like to send in your resume, you can do so at our email hongngocbober@yahoo.com. We can not guarantee a reply back soon, however.
We're planning to stop by tomorrow afternoon. Are dogs allowed inside just to order and take pictures? We'll take our orders to go. Thanks.
Yes, as long as the drinks are just to go !!
