Cheesesteaks, burgers, hotdogs and over 25 sandwich creations to choose from. Today we had the roast pork and the "Southampton" sans the arugula and long hots - I got mine hot and it ranks in the top 4 of my best chicken sandwiches to date. The crumbles of sharp provolone took it to the next level. The pork was juicy tender and full of flavor. What shines even better than the quality tasty food here at Cerruti's is the staff. A crew that cares about what they are doing and want to make sure it's done right. The owner personally came out to check on us and the surrounding tables to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. A bit later we were checked on yet again to see if there was anything else we needed. This is a level of authenticity that you just don't find anymore. I deliberately seek out small businesses to support, and this is the level of commitment to their craft that speaks volumes to me. It is what will keep me coming back. Not to mention there are many other sandwiches on this menu that I must try! 5+ stars I highly recommend you check this place out.

It has a large footprint, but surprisingly few tables in the dining room, giving it the feel of a dance floor for catered events. On this first visit I ordered a Turkey Club Hoagie (w Swiss cheese, mayo, sweet pepper) in addition to standard lettuce and tomato. A Liscio roll with seeds held it together. They say the turkey is roasted in house, but that was lost on me, as it had a mild saltiness which suggested otherwise. Still, it was a stuffed sammy that required unhinged jaws to get it into my mouth for a bite, and considerable mastication to get it consumed. I also tried one of their Hot Dogs with mustard and relish, which was excellent, using a somewhat different roll that had a crusty edge that was the perfect texture for the frankfurter and held up well. Service was young and reservedly cordial, if not friendly. Four Italianesque Stars for Cerruti's.

The quality that they provide every single time I step foot into that establishment is unparallel. Don Cheech's steak has the perfect ratio of cooper sharp to ribeye to the fried onions. The tender seeded roll is a fantastic touch to an already great sandwich. Another thing to point out is that the value of this place is insane. Right now Don Cheech's steak sits at $16.00 including tax. If you compare that to Angelos pizzerias "Cheesesteak" which is $21.06 including tax for an arguably inferior meal is mental. The service at Café Carmella is always personalized to you. They almost always take the time out of their day to recommend you something based on what else you have ordered which is extremely helpful if your indecisive. Another great thing to point out is the overly friendly environment that they provide. I've never seen a speck of dust or dirt in the place the countless of times that I have eaten here. Finally the location is ideal, If your like myself and you love a sweet treat after a great meal. Your in luck because the Huntingdon valley location sits directly next to a south Philly staple Johns water ice which is an authentic classic. Overall if you are even remotely in the area and your interested in having a high quality dining experience I highly recommend it.

Still we decided to share their American Boi Pizza and Carm's Parm Chicken with Drunken Rigatoni. The tomato pie was excellent (especially the first few slices right from the oven) which was perfectly crisp (no flop) and just the right char. It was superior to the parmigiana dinner platter, whose chicken was a bit dry due to being so thinly malleted and uncovered from lack of a fuller spoonful or two of red gravy. The Rigatoni was also in limited supply on the plate, but did hold the vodka blush well, which was pretty good. Service was exceptional, as our waitress engaged us warmly from welcome to final salutation. She was attentive and clearly took our satisfaction to heart. Five Star American Boi; Three Star Chicken Parm. No bread for the table. 3.5 Stars overall.

When we sat down and ordered I ordered a Coke which the waitress said she had only to get Pepsi which I can't drink then I ordered scrambled eggs white toast and a side of corn beef hash (didn't mind that the corn beef hash was eight dollars because I thought it was a Jewish deli and it would be wonderful) but when I got it I found out it was out of the can and it tasted like a can! I got Rye toast instead of white toast, my husband ordered a half a tuna sandwich and chicken noodle soup, the tuna was not very good at all and the chicken noodle soup did not have one piece of chicken or any vegetables it was literally just noodles and broth and that meal cost $17.99 and then $.75 for tomato and lettuce which I couldn't believe! He actually didn't eat any of the soup and about two bites of the sandwich the check ended up costing $32 for basically a couple bites of eggs and two bites of a tunafish sandwich. when I went to the front to check out and I said that the service and everything was terrible she literally ignored me ( she was on the phone) didn't say a word to me took my credit card and said have a nice day! I will never go back to this place again normal will I ever order takeout or anything else from there. Buyer beware'
