Definitely among the higher quality boba i've tried in monterey, one of the best here. The boba itself is consistent, chewy, and perfectly cooked. As for the drinks they as true to name and flavorful. Unlike other places they're not watered down or too milky nor overly sweetened. Owner gave me his honest opinion and recommendation on drinks, turned out great! I'll be coming back here forsure read more

The best boba in Monterey, hands down. I've been multiple times, and have tried multiple beverages. They always knock it out of the park. Friendly staff, and an atmosphere reminiscent of your favorite boba shop from your days in school. read more

Just stopped here and first things first....Location! This cute tiny little green food truck is at the corner of Fremont and Abrego just behind the Exxon station. If you get to the Great Wall, you've gone too far. If you blink you will miss it. We ordered a matcha green latte and a matcha black latte (we like matcha) and I ordered a pink unicorn ice cream as well, but I was told they didn't currently have it. I made the biggest sad face! :( The employee was nice and tried to suggest some other options but I am picky and nothing else was tempting me. As other reviews have stated, it's only one person working, but when we arrived, there was no line and no other people. It took about 15 minutes to get our two drinks and although I couldn't see, I never heard a mixer or blender, but what sounded like someone actually shaking and mixing the drink by hand. Hard work! The employee poured a tiny bit into a small cup and made sure to give us a taste before sealing the top to make sure that we were good with the sweetness level and flavor. I never had any place do that before and I think it's great customer service! After a few drinks I did start to get like a powdery build up on my tongue from the drink but it was still really good and you can't beat the price. They also offer food but we had just eaten. We already have plans to come back tomorrow to support this small business and I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

Yummy boba and milk tea drinks and very chill vibe. Easy place to hang out with friends.

We are from out of town. This is the highest rated boba place around here, so we decided to try it. The teas are just ok. We found the boba to be flavorless and they don't give you enough boba to get through the entire cup. You'll be drinking just tea for the last half of your drink. If you're looking for a typical Taiwanese boba experience, this is not it. read more

Good boba, guy behind the counter is nice. Only downsides are that they use powders and also they could sweeten their boba

We ordered 2 classic black milk teas with boba and it was not made with fresh milk like it suggested on the menu. It was made with powder which was not ideal. The boba was okay and the tea tasted like milk. We discovered chunks of strawberry inside both of our drinks which we did not ask for. It seems like the utensils used to prepare our drinks were not properly cleaned before scooping the boba. We would not come here again to avoid being "surprised" by toppings we did not ask for. read more

I loved that I could TASTE the black tea! I had the "purist" tea which is just black team, milk and boba. Will return! $6.50 for the drink, it wasn't listed on the menu but that's what my receipt read. read more

I'm obsessed with this bubble tea shop! The flavors are incredible, sweet, aromatic, and just perfect. The pearls are always fresh, and the shop is so clean. The staff are also amazing; they really make the experience even better! read more

I was craving boba and ended up getting a vitamin water at the gas station ,then out of nowhere I noticed these guys parked on the side! Keep your eyes peeled for this green trailer! I ordered the butter chicken wrap and it was gooood. Definitely full of herbal butter flavor. Maybe could have used veggies like greens or something but that's just my preference. The Mangolicious was cold and refreshing. I would stop by again for a quick lunch. read more

I drove around the area a few times before I actually found the boba truck. For anyone who has the same issue, it's behind the gas station! The boba was decent not my absolute favorite but the customer service was amazing and I would come back just for that. I put in an order for a passion fruit green tea and was given a tasting to make sure that the flavor and sweetness were to my liking before he poured it into my cup. I thought this was a very kind gesture. I noticed the owner (maybe just an employee) knew one of the customers by name and asked why her partner hadn't come with her. The fact that he remembered that detail shows me that this is more than just a place to get boba, it's to make a friend read more

Full disclosure and background: I'm not a big boba fan, but I don't dislike it. I think it usually just tastes too much like artificial flavoring. But my daughter loves it so we usually find a spot and I get a taste. Ok, jumping to the conclusion: I wish I'd ordered my own boba because it was soooo good! Each one is made by hand (you can hear the hand-mixing happening in the back). He gave us a taste of the drink before pouring it into the cup to be sure it was what we wanted. I got to take the taste and that's when I realized I should have ordered my own. You know when you go to a place where you can tell they take pride in what they're offering their customers? That's this business. And if I lived locally, I'd probably end up being a regular. Don't let the gas station parking lot deter you. This is a legit and high-quality boba biz! Give them your love and support (it'll come back to you in delicious calories!) read more

Best boba in town imo. Yes, there's a wait. He makes them from scratch one at a time and it's just him. There was only one person ahead of us, thankfully. We weren't in a hurry and didn't time it or anything The boba was super soft and tender. I got the taro boba for my wife and the tiger milk boba for myself. Taro wasn't too sweet, which was nice because she always orders half sugar when we go out. Mine was gorgeous (and full of delicious sugar haha) I pleasantly surprised to find a boba truck in town. It's surprisingly difficult to get good boba around here. read more

Terrible. My partner and I went to Bobalicious and Bites with high hopes due to the promising reviews, but we were met with grainy, powdery, and inedible boba. To even call this boba is a disgrace. It took well over 15 minutes to receive only 2 cups of boba and the store was practically empty. This is embarrassing as someone of Asian descent, they should probably close this down for the sake of our culture. read more

Just to preface, I've been to every major boba spot in the county and over 40 spots in the Bay Area. This spot is next level. Today was my first time but it won't be my last. We ordered a green tea with lychee and lychee popping boba and a tiger milk tea. Both drinks were some of the best I've had. Tiger milk is usually a drink I avoid but the owner insisted I try his version. This drink was a revelation. I don't want to give away any surprises, but what I will say that this version is over the top. On top of the quality, the service was something special. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Would it be too far calling this guy an artist? No it wouldn't. Check this place out and grab whatever he suggests. You won't be disappointed! read more

MENU AND FOOD: They offer a list of boba milk and fruit teas along with boba ice cream and fried snacks. You can also request the use of fresh milk or non-dairy creamer. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service is friendly and efficient; the staff will let you try the drink for sweetness before pouring your drink. They do not have any seating. PARKING: Located in the Chevron lot, they have two parking spots. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: I've had their taro berry milk tea and their tropical fruit tea, both of which were pretty ok, but nothing special. Sadly, their boba sometimes seems to be leftover and hard in texture. I usually will opt out of their boba. Being one of two boba spots in the Monterey Bay, it may be enough to satisfy your boba cravings. read more

It's a little food truck, the drinks are incredibly delicious. I like to drop by to get bubble tea for my family on the way home. Every drink is always made right away and tastes amazing. They'll let you taste to make sure the sugar level and everything is okay and if there's extra they'll pour it into a cup for you to have. It can be a little bit of a wait sometimes but it's because every drink is made with such loving care. So it's well worth the wait. read more

It's hard to find, behind the Exxon next to Denny's. It's a tiny portable lol. But A for effort. They make the drinks fresh and I really like that they offer samples. The only minus was that the boba was a little over-cooked. Prices are less than Bay Area shops so better value. Oh and they had White Rabbit ice cream, so creamy! Not a lot of boba options in Monterey so if you need a boba fix, try this place. read more

taste like straight powder and is way over priced. The inside looks very unwelcoming and not sanitary

we came here while in monterey since tzone was closed due to a leak. bobalicious & bites is a food/drink truck located in the back of the gas station. reviews seemed promising but i am really surprised by how different our experience was... // service // there was only one guy working the truck (taking orders, making drinks, cooking food) so i empathize that it's a lot to handle. he was very nice, but we ended up waiting around 15 minutes to order (since he was cooking a previous order) and then 20 minutes for our drinks. // menu // good variety on menu, you have the option for milk or non dairy creamer too. something i thought was pretty disappointing is that he charged us way higher than the menu on the truck. menu says drinks are 3.99 each and we got charged 5.00 each. if prices have been updated, your menu should reflect that too. // drinks // my main issue was with the drinks. they were out of boba as well so we got lychee jelly. QUEEN BEE - black milk tea with honey we were unable to change the sweetness on this. this drink tasted like pure sugar water with some milk. i could not make out any taste of black tea whatsoever. i was considering not finishing it but felt bad for spending $5 on it. it also made my stomach really hurt after. MANGO MILK TEA my brother got the mango milk tea. also, incredibly too sweet. mango flavor tasted very artificial. he also could not finish it. all in all, i gave 2 stars just because i feel bad for the guy who was running all of the orders. but seriously, the drinks themselves were nowhere near up to par with any other milk tea place in the bay area. they taste most similar to tpumps, which i dislike since it just tastes like artificial syrups--so maybe if you like tpumps you would like the drinks here, but otherwise i'd pass. the drinks + waiting 30 minutes + being upcharged from the menu price are all reasons why i would not come here again. read more

So happy this small business went from their Boba Truck to a Store Front! You can't go wrong with any of the boba teas or other drinks/bites! Very yummy drinks. I just got green tea with nothing added. It was what you'd expect. I tried my son's Taro tea and yummy! Service was fine. There were a few drinks being made ahead of me. I felt the wait time is average for a boba place. This will definitely be a stop next time we are in town. read more

Delicious boba! The pearls are super soft & fresh-not the most flavorful I've had, but great texture. Tiger Milk tea was yummy and not overly sweet. Queen Bee was good too! Prices weren't posted on the menu next to the window, and we got charged $5 for a 16oz-which is different from other photos I saw on Yelp. Still decent price for boba though. read more

Friendly service but I felt that the drinks were too artificial tasting and difficult for us to enjoy. I had high hopes this would be my new favorite spot with all the good reviews but unfortunately, it's not. It's also located behind the Exxon with limited parking space. read more

Tasty variety of boba & teas ! Love this place! I got the taro and strawberry boba with cheese form! Delicious!

The boba tasted more like water with flavoring plus I got very little tapioca and the tapioca wasn't freshly made or good either.

Drinks are mixed by hand when you order them and there's only 1 person working, so don't expect to have them out immediately after purchase-there's a bit of a wait. Service is great and the guy who helped me out was very kind. He gave me a sample to before sealing to make sure the drink was to my liking. Drinks aren't too sweet, but I'm sure you can have it adjusted if you would like more sugar. Overall great experience. read more

We were craving boba and stumbled upon this place. Did NOT expect it to be this good!!! It's nestled on a gas station parking lot and very easy to spot. I got the Sweet Romance and my sister got the Mean Mango Machine and absolutely love it! We are pretty picky when it comes to boba and we are just blown away at how delicious our drinks were. Very affordable too compared to the places near our home. He even let me test it to make sure the sweetness was just right before sealing my drink up. I tipped extra since he was so nice and he told me I tipped too much! Will definitely come back here when we are in town and recommend this to everyone who visits! Good things take time and man that Tiger Ice Cream was phenomenal and worth the wait. Tasted just like brown sugar and perfect consistency. As far as the wait time goes, it's a small buisness ran by maybe 1-2 people so it's obviously going to take a minute just listen to a song in your car until it's done, no big deal. The best service and boba you can find in California!!!! Definitely try their Tiger milk boba- it's amazing!!

I have had boba all over the world, have been to hundreds of shops. This may be the best experience I have had. The owner is incredibly nice, clearly cares about the customer, the quality of the boba, the quality of the tea and the overall experience. The tea seems to be brewed in-house, the boba is made fresh daily, and the flavor profile of the (specifically Jasmine) tea is floral, not too sweet, bright, and delicious. It's also fantastic that the owner uses fresh milk rather than non dairy creamer (unless asked for)! I will be coming here as much as I can to get more! I'm excited for their new shop opening in downtown Monterey on May 19th! read more
