Terrible. My partner and I went to Bobalicious and Bites with high hopes due to the promising reviews, but we were met with grainy, powdery, and inedible boba. To even call this boba is a disgrace. It took well over 15 minutes to receive only 2 cups of boba and the store was practically empty. I drove around the area a few times before I actually found the boba truck. For anyone who has the same issue, it's behind the gas station! The boba was decent not my absolute favorite but the customer service was amazing and I would come back just for that. I put in an order for a passion fruit green tea and was given a tasting to make sure that the flavor and sweetness were to my liking before he poured it into my cup. I thought this was a very kind gesture. I noticed the owner (maybe just an employee) knew one of the customers by name and asked why her partner hadn't come with her. The boba tasted more like water with flavoring plus I got very little tapioca and the tapioca wasn't freshly made or good either.

I was craving boba and ended up getting a vitamin water at the gas station ,then out of nowhere I noticed these guys parked on the side! Keep your eyes peeled for this green trailer! I ordered the butter chicken wrap and it was gooood. Definitely full of herbal butter flavor. Maybe could have used veggies like greens or something but that's just my preference. We ordered a green tea with lychee and lychee popping boba and a tiger milk tea. Both drinks were some of the best I've had. Tiger milk is usually a drink I avoid but the owner insisted I try his version. This drink was a revelation. I don't want to give away any surprises, but what I will say that this version is over the top. On top of the quality, the service was something special. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Best boba in town imo. Yes, there's a wait. He makes them from scratch one at a time and it's just him. There was only one person ahead of us, thankfully. We weren't in a hurry and didn't time it or anything The boba was super soft and tender. I got the taro boba for my wife and the tiger milk boba for myself. Taro wasn't too sweet, which was nice because she always orders half sugar when we go out. Mine was gorgeous (and full of delicious sugar haha) I pleasantly surprised to find a boba truck in town. we came here while in monterey since tzone was closed due to a leak. bobalicious & bites is a food/drink truck located in the back of the gas station. reviews seemed promising but i am really surprised by how different our experience was... // service // there was only one guy working the truck (taking orders, making drinks, cooking food) so i empathize that it's a lot to handle. he was very nice, but we ended up waiting around 15 minutes to order (since he was cooking a previous order) and then 20 minutes for our drinks. // menu // good variety on menu, you have the option for milk or non dairy creamer too. something i thought was pretty disappointing is that he charged us way higher than the menu on the truck. menu says drinks are 3.99 each and we got charged 5.00 each. if prices have been updated, your menu should reflect that too. // drinks // my main issue was with the drinks. they were out of boba as well so we got lychee jelly. QUEEN BEE - black milk tea with honey we were unable to change the sweetness on this. this drink tasted like pure sugar water with some milk. i could not make out any taste of black tea whatsoever. i was considering not finishing it but felt bad for spending $5 on it. it also made my stomach really hurt after. MANGO MILK TEA my brother got the mango milk tea. also, incredibly too sweet. mango flavor tasted very artificial. he also could not finish it. all in all, i gave 2 stars just because i feel bad for the guy who was running all of the orders. but seriously, the drinks themselves were nowhere near up to par with any other milk tea place in the bay area. they taste most similar to tpumps, which i dislike since it just tastes like artificial syrups--so maybe if you like tpumps you would like the drinks here, but otherwise i'd pass. the drinks + waiting 30 minutes + being upcharged from the menu price are all reasons why i would not come here again. read more

Of all the boba spots we could have gone to we picked Bobalicious & Bites for its name...we were looking for good boba and bites...that are normally served with boba such as pop corn chicken or waffles, etc... Much to our great regret, it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks, the food offerings they had were granola bars and Cheetos from the local grocery, they ran out of boba and we had to pick other alternative toppings after we have paid for our drinks ....while waiting for our drinks, a lady walks in with 4 jugs of milk...then our drinks got made. Before leaving the shop (we were there for 2 hours), the little boy in our group had the runs...and a few hours later, a few of our group had food poisoning..those that had food poisoning had smoothies with dairy and coffee jelly or rainbow jelly. read more

I have had boba all over the world, have been to hundreds of shops. This may be the best experience I have had. The owner is incredibly nice, clearly cares about the customer, the quality of the boba, the quality of the tea and the overall experience. The tea seems to be brewed in-house, the boba is made fresh daily, and the flavor profile of the (specifically Jasmine) tea is floral, not too sweet, bright, and delicious. It's also fantastic that the owner uses fresh milk rather than non dairy creamer (unless asked for)! I will be coming here as much as I can to get more! The texture of the boba was soft and had a nice chewiness to it. The person that takes your order is also the person that makes everything, so be patient with him. He's a nice guy and he wants you to like what you order. He'll even have you sample your drink before you get it just to make sure.
