Second thing was that I was bored and waiting and watching them make my drink. You can customize the drink - in terns of ice and sweetness level. I typically ask for less ice and less sweetness. I saw them mix my drink. It came up to be about a 1/3 of the cup and the staff member proceeded to put 2.5 scoops of ice into the cup, filling it up. Seriously? I asked for less ice. Does that mean if you got full ice, it's ¼ cup or less? That's crazy. I was so annoyed that I didn't fully enjoy my drink. The drink was fine. It tasted pretty water downed. But had plenty of boba and lychee jelly. Ugh, if this is the case, what 's the point of getting less ice. Don't look behind the curtain to see how the sausage is made, if you don't want to know and just want to enjoy the end product.

We came back to try the Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie and the ube soft serve. Unfortunately, the smoothie was a letdown--it was too heavy on the coconut milk and didn't have much mango flavor. The ube soft serve was also much smaller than expected for the price and was on the sweeter side. The service was friendly, and the ambiance inside was nice enough. The surrounding plaza wasn't our favorite, but the boba shop itself was pleasant. Overall, expect Bay Area pricing. My faves as a vegetarian are the fried tofu & fries, fried tofu rice bowl, Kung pao tofu, and vegetables and tofu upgraded to fried rice. Those who eat meat tend to enjoy the orange chicken with chow mein, popcorn chicken, and Mongolian beef.
