Came in around 7pm and there weren't a lot of people, so we got our boba right away. The bobarista was super nice and answered our questions patiently. The place is spacious with plenty of seating, and it's nice and cool inside. Definitely coming back here next time we're in town! read more

Came here multiple times around 4pm, sometimes as early as 3pm, and they are closed. Business probably isn't doing well, if they're only open for 1-2 hours or not open at all. Sad that google doesn't reflect when they close early. read more

Every time I visit, there seems to be only one person working, and I assume he's the owner of the franchise. This could suggest staffing challenges, perhaps due to a difficult work environment or an effort to cut costs.... He's doing his best to manage everything on his own, but as a result, service tends to take longer, often over 10 minutes. read more

This Happy Lemon location can be found in the same plaza as BevMo and Subway. My husband and I stopped by this location on a Wednesday evening, before 6 pm. After looking over the menu board, we ended up ordering: Large Kumquat Lemon Green Tea, $6.25- My husband ordered this drink to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. I am not a fan of kumquat so I didn't have any. But my husband did like his drink. Large Classic Milk Tea, $5.25- I ordered this drink to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. I thought this drink was good and consistent like the other Happy Lemon tea houses that I have been to previously. -------------------------------- (Total= $11.50) Wait time for our drinks only took 5 minutes. This Happy Lemon is located in the Pacific Tower plaza. It is a small plaza with a shared parking lot. The employees were not the most friendly or welcoming, but the owner was friendly and thanking me for my business. I tried their Mango Matcha with boba and Yakult Lemon Slushy on this particular visit. I thought the Mango Matcha was just okay - it was not as flavorful or smooth like usual and it was kind of melty, instead of having a thicker consistency like usual. I have frequented this place since it first opened, but haven't been back since the pandemic started until last week. I was surprised to see that this establishment is now being shared with a Vietnamese sandwich place. Left door leads you to Happy Lemon and the right one opens up to Banh Mi Saigon. This place used to be an open and bright place with lots of seating. However, when I came back in here it has that somber feel. Anywho, I ordered my usual Matcha latte w/ tiramisu salted cheese with soymilk (coz dairy ;p) and boba. I like my matcha drinks semisweet this is just so perfect. I like the bitterness of the matcha and the saltiness of the tiramisu cheese. Perfect combination. I handed them my rewards card to get my points, but I guess I really am off the loop because they now transitioned to the app rewards and my reward card is totally obsolete. Duh! I also wanted some bubble waffle and found out they don't carry it in this location anymore. The machine broke down and they decided to not get it fixed so bubble waffle here is no more here :( This location is the closest one for me so I patronize this place. It also helps that the workers here are nice and answered all the questions I had for them that day. Definitely one of my go to boba place and my favorite salted cheese toppings. read more

Happy Lemon is def one of my top three boba places in Stockton Anything from their top 10 list is good I appreciate that you can adjust the sugar level and/or ice level to 25% 50% or 75%. And now they have milk substitutes like Almond or Oat milk. The taro is really good if you like the actual taro plant. It's not too sweet and I assume they use the real plant because it def tastes more authentic to the plant, which I really appreciate. The milk tea with salted cheese is def something to try lol I mix it together and I think it tastes good! The Oreo milk tea and cream puff drink are pretty good too. Don't forget to add boba to your order! They also have some games like Jenga and board games, so it's pretty chill. read more

Had milk tea w cheese + roasted tea w cheese, was delicious. The cheese adds an extra layer of flavor. Definitely try sipping as suggested before shaking it and mixing it up. You just never know when you have customers coming in like for example recently a customer like me who came in with his mom bought the 2 drinks (orange mango milk tea + green milk tea) and the Oreo egg puff waffles. The owner/manager is not a good person and that's why there is only one person working. He expects this one person to get everything done by themselves. He poorly trains them and gets upset when the employee makes a mistake. Would not recommend this location at all and that's why this place is empty most of the time. read more

I am a novice when it comes to bubble boba milk tea type drinks. So when the fam wanted tea drinks, they mentioned Happy Lemon. It's a chain based cafe started in Shanghai in 2006. They specialize in salted cheese tea drinks. I have never been to one. So off I go. This one is located in Stockton right off Pacific Avenue in a tiny strip business center. It's in between traveling from Lincoln Center to Sherwood Mall. As I walked in, the obnoxiously adorable bright colored wall mural of the darn cute lemon headed mascot caught my eye. Luved it! The buzzer that they provide to you is also of the darn cute smiling winking happy lemon head. The seating area was large. They have old school board games and free WiFi, they encourage you to sit a spell and relax, enjoy your drink. The staff was super helpful. The late Saturday afternoon I dropped in, they ran out of green tea and boba. Aww shucks. I found out the so called cheese topping is a frothy foam made up of milk, cream cheese, and whipped cream topped with a sprinkling of Rock salt ( combo flavor profilof sweet N salty). I even found out that there is a technique to drinking this type of tea to maximize your tasting experience. It's advised to drink it with the cup tilted to your lips at a 45 degree angle to allow you to taste the cheese topping with every sip of your layered infused flavored tea. The drink does not have to be drank with the layers intact. Hey it's America... to each their own... no rules if you want to shake it up before drinking or sip through a straw. The drink menu includes milk tea, smoothies, slush crushed ice tea based drinks, lemon teas, dessert sweet drinks, and of course salted tea drinks. They serve no food. Plus they do not serve milk iced Thai tea. The majority of drinks come in 2sizes. $4.25-$5.50. The fam all enjoyed their drinks. The teas have a deep flavor and just the right amount of sweetness, not overly so. But no one ordered the cheese tea, believe that. We all were not in an adventurous mode to try something new. LOL. BOGO day! Service: great service and well organized environment! Drinks: ordered the Oreo tiramisu (m) and little sis got the mango orange milk tea with boba (m). My sister loved hers. She had the white bobas and liked. My drink was room temperature...tasted okay...like a nesquik kind of taste. I really wanted to like Happy Lemon but the drinks never stood out for me. (There is one in Elk Grove where I live) 4 stars since my little sis likes it and service was great. Overall, I'd probably will come back just to support a small business . I really wanted to like this place. They offer a unique menu because they have Yakult teas/smoothies. However, I found the flavor of their teas to be bitter from over-brewing while their milk teas were average. The design inside is cute, though! That's what actually drew me in! Their customer service was also spot-on. The workers were all friendly and didn't mind explaining the way they made their Yakult drinks to me. But for the quality of the drinks served, I wouldn't want to pay their prices. The teas here are priced higher than elsewhere in the city while providing a lesser quality tea and flavor. The one thing I do recommend, however, is the Grapefruit Lemon Slush. It's delicious! Though I would ask for less sweetness next time. I love happy lemon but this location is just a tad bit different than the ones I am used to visiting. Idk if it's due to the fact that they are in the valley but they do have a couple missing items I usually get when coming into a happy lemon the bay area. Least to say, still same great taste but menu is much different that what I am used to. I decided to try this place out to see what the hype was and fell in love. The inside is spacious and clean and their decor brings out the happiness from their brand. Bethat it was my first time, I didn't know what to get so I appreciate how they took their time to explain their menu and offered samples to try. I got their black tea salted cheese (which is also one of their popular drinks) and milk tea Oreo tiramisu. It was recommended to drink it from an angle to get an even taste of the entire drink without having to stir or shake it. I don't give very many 5's out but honestly I feel this place deserves it. The first drink I ordered, which blew my mind, was the Okinawa Fresh Milk. I did NOT know it was just milk the first 4 or 5 times I ordered it. When I saw on the menu that it didn't have tea in it I switched things around. Since then I have ordered the basic milk tea with boba but I add the Okinawa brown sugar. The Okinawa has this sort of toffee caramely flavor that blends perfectly with the boba and the milk tea. The boba has the perfect texture. It's a little chewy on the inside and a little soft on the outside. I use this specific drink as the gold standard which I compare all other places to. read more

As I've lived in SoCal for a while and now currently live in the Bay I understand Stockton has a different quality standard than other cities. If you live here, I give this location 3 stars for being average. If you're from SoCal or the Bay, I probably would say this is closer to a 2 star review. The drink itself was okay, I never felt Happy Lemon chains in general had drinks that were overwhelmingly good or terrible. The drinks I've had at this location were generally in line with the other locations. There really isn't much else in the plaza so parking was very easy. In the few times I visited, the store was always quite empty so it probably wouldn't be at terrible place to study at. Music is what you generally expect at boba places at a medium to loud level. There are a few plugs I found. However, on at least one occasion WiFi was non-existent despite the signs. When I got a hot drink the lid did not completely seal with the cup so it would drip from the sides. And I also didn't feel particularly welcomed by the employees, but this may just be a Stockton thing. read more

I had the Thai tea and chicken lemongrass bahn mi with a bubble waffle. The Thai tea and waffle were great and the girl was pretty nice. She was there with some guy who sat on his phone most of the time. I had to order the bahn mi separate which was fine but when I got it the bread was hard and dry, it was also cut vertically which limited the amount of ingredients and made it difficult to eat. The vegetables (specifically the cucumber and jalapeño) were also slice really large making the eating experience unpleasant. I couldn't even finish it which is sad because I used to love the bahn mi there when the older lady made it and they had a veggie option. read more

I've had the Salted Cheese Black Tea from here. It's good. I think this store makes their drinks sweeter than other Happy Lemons, so I recommend going the next percentage down that you normally would get. Store is always clean every time I've been and it's never been really packed. Service is good and air condition is on blast (at least when it's hot outside). Service is quick too. Parking is easy. It's ok. I spent $18.75 for three drinks and a very small salted cheese ice cream. The ice cream was best but way overpriced at $3.50 for a tiny container. The salted cheese milk tea, puff cream milk tea and teddy bear milk tea were all ok. I would like to try the salted cheese green tea and the ice cream again if prices weren't so high. You guys already know that I am a Happy Lemon addict. I haven't had a Sad Lemon experience which has been great! The man at the cashier was extremely friendly and forgiving, I was ordering multiple drinks and also was tripping up on words on whether or not I wanted to save my rewards on my Happy Lemon card or using it. I usually like to save my rewards so if I owe a friend anything, I use my rewards to get them a free Happy Lemon drink! I usually order the Passion Fruit Green tea drink with lychee jelly and boba. My boyfriend orders the Mango Yakult smoothie which is also really good, but he orders his drink with Aloe which isn't my favorite so I don't drink too much of his drink! I've also tried the salted cheese drinks which are pretty interesting. I feel like more boba stores are trying to implement the salted cheese toppings, is this all because of Happy Lemon's doing?! Another Bubble Tea chain made its way to the Central Valley, right in the heart of Stockton. It opened its door recently and it highly piqued my interest. Happy Lemon is trending and is a hipster magnate. Known for its eclectic offering of teas, lemon infused drinks, slushy, smoothies and a diverse array of toppings to fully customize your drink. One of their newest additions is the Salted Cheese. A distinct creamy foam tasted of rock salt and infused cream cheese, whipped cream and milk to boost up any drink imaginable. Oreo Milk Tea with Puff Cream, although a bit watered down was my favorite! The Oreo bits gave it a nice texture and flavor to the Milk Tea. Mango Yakult Smoothie is a nice balance of sweet and tart in addition to the creaminess from the Yakult yogurt. The mango bits swimming in the creamy goodness added a nice touch! Boba Milk Tea with Puff Cream was just your average milk tea. It was tasty however, nothing special. Green Tea with Boba and Lychee was pleasant and the Salted Cheese added an interesting flavor profile. The salty and cheesy foam first hits your palate followed by the sweetness of the tea before you get to the chewy texture of the boba and Lychee. Who knew that matcha and mango would compliment another so well! There was actual mango pieces used so it was very rich and refreshing balance! Love love love Happy Lemon! I live right around the corner so its so nice to have such ease in access to boba! I've been going to this location since they opened and I've never been let down. They recently started selling egg waffles and I have to say that they are by far my favorite egg waffles when comparing to other boba places. Great crispy texture and just enough sweetness. My favorite drink besides the milk tea with cheese is E2, the Yakult grapefruit. SO refreshing.
