I would give them -0 starts if I could. I took my car to get fixed and the work wasnt completed and plus the fixed the wrong part on my vehicle. I took my car up there so they could fix my rear wheel barrel, bob son so dumb he fixed the front, he didn't even read the work order. So now my rear wheel barrel is broken and they saying it's not they problem. I wouldn't send my bike to this shop. this is a bogus ran down dirty business. read more

I gave one star only because I had too. Problem I had with my truck is that it would run rough when it rained. Bob put it on the computer and said I needed 8 plugs and 3 coils. So I paid him $500 to replace 8 plugs and 3 coils. Went to pick it up and Bob says it still has a slight miss but you wont notice it unless you're looking for it. I went and started the truck and it misfired so bad it shakes the engine. (this is the "slight miss you wont notice"). I went back into the shop and told him its running as bad as when I brought it in. He recommended I take it to the dealer to find out what the problem is. He said "it could be an injector or the catalytic converter , I don't know because we cant read live data here"........CANT READ LIVE DATA???????? Well then how do you know I needed 8 plugs and 3 coils if you cant read live data?????? I now feel I was taken advantage of and ripped off by this man because I'm handicapped. After all I now have to take it somewheres where the mechanic can actually read the data and pay more money to have the initial problem fixed that Bob was not able to fix. So I guess if your Bob's friend you write a 5 star review for doing nothing (which is what most of the reviews are about) or because "he gives back to the community" or you need a tire fixed or replaced but if you're in need of engine repair GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! Remember this is a mechanic that "CANT READ LIVE DATA" so he will have absolutely no idea whats wrong with your vehicle and only rip you off like he did me guessing at what he thinks might be the problem. UPDATE: So I went to a place that put my truck on the computer. This mechanic was able to read the live data. Results... ERROR CODE P0316 Misfire detected on start up. ERROR CODE P0302 Cylinder #2 misfire detected. So apparently when I left Bob kerns auto repair, cylinder 2 was misfiring. Bob completely blew off this slight misfire claiming he had no idea why it was missing. Turns out the coil on #2 cylinder was bad. The second mechanic replaced the coil in less then 10 minutes and the truck runs as it should now. So Bob how did you notice the other 3 coils were bad but not the coil on #2 cylinder???? Were the other 3 coils actually bad??? I also found out that Bob marked up the price of each coil $22 which is almost double the cost. This only proves it. YOU'RE A RIP OFF! read more

I am all for small businesses and helping them succeed, which is one of the main reasons I came here. We came in yesterday to get an estimate and expected our car to be fixed. Well, let me just say for the rack, pinion, rotors, and power steering pump he wanted over $2300 for a $600 (IF THAT) job. I was also later made aware by a different shop that the power steering pump AND rack and pinion never need to be replaced at the same time so he was just feeding me nonsense, trying to get me to replace both when it's literally one or the other. We will NOT be back and we will for sure warn others. He Also charged us $204 JUST for the back rotors. When American muffler charges only $100 for the back. Very disappointed in the service sick of mechanics trying to rip people off it is not fair!!!! Bob seemed nice enough but he definitely was trying to get one over on us. I sent my Traverse in because I kept getting traction control light, stabilink and engine power loss. Had my vehicle towed to Bobs to be placed on the diagnostic. Received a call that the diagnostic test showed my problem was the throttle body $398.00. I asked if that was the only problem, the lady said yes, your good to go once thats taken care of. I approved the job. Guess what, now Im told I need 2 catalytic converters at a cost of over a grand. My Traverse has been towed to a different more reputable shop. My vehicle is not fixed.
