My husband is from Ohio and he loves visiting Bob Evans when we visit the area. So, when we saw this place off the highway we had to stop. The service was friendly, the food didn't disappoint. Both my kids got the kid's meal hamburgers and finished their plate that's how I know they liked it. The cherry on top was the cookies at the end. My husband"s country fried steak according to him was delicious. My protein bowl was also great. All in all we had to give them a 5 star view. The experience getting the food is always ok. No problem with ordering and staff is always friendly. But omg this particular location is disgusting with the food. I don't know if the kitchen doesn't care or terrible management or the food vendor has changed, but it's nasty. My boyfriend gets carryout frequently and spends a ton there on his orders. I s nt him out thanksgiving night and he brought back total slop. It's like a "sliver" of turkey and some mashed potatoes and ONE roll for $17. He's way too nice to complain and prefers to be know and but sometimes you need to be assertive. I blame the management and probably a rotten cook. He brought back a chicken sandwich 3 weeks ago, twice in 1 week. Chicken sandwich, grilled was freaking amazing for years, except this weirton WV location. First time it was barely cooked and the second time couldn't even bite down on it because half way through it, it was hard as a rock!! But I know other locations are really good. Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis/ Lawrence Indiana is terrific, so is the Ross Park pa, and South Huntington WV locations oh South Toledo oh is great too and are our 4 favorites. But we live in Weirton and of course this is the sh** location. I'm filing a complaint with corporate as management here in Weirton is positively rotten. It's never good when you go to a restaurant and it's 100 percent different staff each visit. That's odd in itself and never seen that before. one of the waitresses called my dad a loser tonight. My father is the most giving person I have ever met on this planet. He has helped almost everyone in the city of Weirton for free. Why would anyone call him a loser? That is inappropriate for a service worker in any hospitality field. Going out to eat is a splurge and treat for most of us these days. I ordered the Double Entree Family Meal Deal online. It's say feeds up to 8. I would say more like 3-4 adults realistically. Online option does not give you gift card payment option. Upon entering the place was somewhat busy and there were 2 couples in the foyer waiting. 1 couple was already signed in, I walked up to the counter for the hostess, she was standing in the seating area standing around talking then walked up with an attitude and asked whom needed to sign in. We finally signed in and we're seated by the wait station, our drink orders was taken within 5 minutes but that's where we start to run downhill. The waiter took our food orders, my wife ordered the southwest avacodo omelette and I had ordered the whole hog breakfast with an order of cinnamon biscuits for my wife and I to share. After about 40 minutes goes by and we have yet to see our waiter again nor has he brought us any food, I then made a comment as another waitress went by and over heard, at this point in time we've witnessed and heard a heavy seat waitress stand around talking and refused to help anyone else, talked about partying, what she was planning on drinking and we'll you get the point. Finally our waiter came and said he forgot to put our food order in, 45 minutes later, then made a bs excuse. Upon our exit the manager made the statement he'd comp our meal 10% if we waited but also stated he knows . He never apologized for the service or lack there of, the entire staff dragging and not caring. The corporate office needs to be made aware of the lousy service and performance of this restaurant location and either retrain the entire staff with the managers included or close the restaurant. We're never going back to this restaurant and suggest the same for anyone else. read more

The food is delicious they have great service and the drinks.Your drinks come in mason jars. The interior and exterior look AMAZING.The wait time is not long I came and waited 1 min and was seated and the drink wait was 3 min and the food was about 10 min.This place is great for a pop in and pop out if you are in a rush.Also th restaurant has take out.In all this is a GREAT RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!! read more

I ordered food here on Uber eats. Bob Evans cancelled it after having the order for an hour. I called and asked why and her first excuse was that they were closed. Then I explained they don't close for 10 more minutes and I placed the order an hour prior. Then her next excuse was that they don't do business with Uber eats..... they are partnered with them and I ordered it through the app. (here's your sign). Every other Bob Evans in America is also partnered with them. Good job guys. read more

So the whole family was starving and since we were already out we decided to eat at this Bob Evans. The service was excellent and the food was good. The portions were generous. Everything went well until it was time to pay. The woman who served as cashier told me, after a brief glance at the coupon, that my coupon was for 'online orders only' and wouldn't work. She wouldn't try to scan it to prove her assertion. Admittedly I got upset and let it show but it was so infuriating to receive such poor customer service. Oh...and the coupon has a disclaimer written on it 'CASHIER IF BARCODE IS UNREADABLE OR DIDN'T PRINT KEY IN UPC...' Please explain why an online order only coupon would have such a disclaimer. read more

If you are going to Door Dash Do Not choose this place at least in Weirton Wv. It seems to me the staff is trained to take care of the Door Dash orders last! I waited over 35min and mind you I accepted the order 10min prior to that and all the while the staff is casually folding silverware chatting with other staff. My family and I have eaten at this Bob's for five years now and in the beginning, they were the WORST Bob's we'd ever been to. Lately, over the past few months, the service (especially Terri), and some of the management has been great. They've been "out" of things which can be irritating, but everything else has been fine and the food was really good! Today, however, I was distraught at how bad things were. It was a bit busy, but nonetheless, it was dreadful. We stood and watched a booth to be cleaned.. next to a perfectly good booth... only to be escorted across the store to a table. I stood my ground and we sat at the booth (I was just out of the hospital and didn't feel like standing any further). The waitress was terrible. Karli proceeded to give us a look, attitude and overall rotten service. I didn't get sugar for my coffee til it was cold AND it was really old coffee. When she finally brought it (after asking twice) she plopped it on the table without even so much a nod. My son's order came out wrong - eggs were undercooked, potatoes were not "loaded", and he was charged for bread he didn't receive. When she brought the "loaded" the cheese is cold and nothing was cooked. My wife was the only one with an OK lunch and her's was ruined because of our issues. I actually was too uncomfortable to complain too because the "greeter" looked annoyed, her helper looked annoyed, and the waitress already made it clear she was not going to serve us politely. I don't know if they were too busy (didn't seem overly bad) or if it was just a bad day with Halloween being canceled, but this restaurant is STILL a hit-or-miss restaurant. I'm not quite sure how this place got such bad reviews. I've ate here 3 times in the past 5 days. Everything has been excellent. The food has been very flavorful and the service was spot on. Very friendly staff that made you feel right at home. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. There's a really good chance I'll probably be here tomorrow also lol. read more

08/28/16 visit - I never much of a fan of bob evans. My favorite is eggs over easy. Hwever I am not sure why but seems like the Bob Evans can never get it right. I like to dip my toast in the yoke and seems like Bob Evans can never get this right as they over cooked it and most of the yoke is cooks and firm and undippable.. But my wife and son loves it here so I went here this morning. My egg was cooked the best at my previous experiences at Bob Evans. More than half the yoke was dippable. I really wish Bob evans would learn how to make a correct over easy egg. read more

Just finished my meal. Ordered a sunshine bowl or whatever they call that garbage. After awaiting approximately what felt like an hour, my meal arrived. Egg was entirely unseasoned and cold. The potato chunks were uneven and half of them were still half cooked. The gravy was bland. The sausage was the I my redeeming part of the meal, and there wasn't enough. To make things worse, when checking out I saw ants on the counter. Would not recommend, and I'm not going again. read more

Ordered online for the food to be delivered. The delivery was Great! But what me and my husband ordered was a joke. The Mac & Cheese was nothing to speak of and I felt so bad for my husband as he ordered the Sirloin Steak entre. The steak was to be 6oz. It was the size of a 1oz. It was so small. I'm giving them a 2 star because the food that we got was good. Every time we come here, I always order something that they are out of. It wasn't very busy, maybe 4 other tables beside ours. The place was very messy. Food and garbage on the floor and every table was dirty. They say us at a dirty table. While we were sitting there eating, they sat a man down at a dirty table as well. I didn't notice the servers being busy. Why couldn't they be cleaning the tables off and sweeping the floor?! I'm a server, and I cringe when I see restaurants dirty with no excuse. I've always liked this place but it's better to go in the middle of the day when they're slow or just order carry out. There's only one waitress who seemed like it was a bother to her that we were there. She hardly came around to refill our drinks and then when we asked her for something she'd sigh and act like we were bothering her. When we did get our meal it took about 45 minutes just because she was standing around talking to the table behind us and it took her another 25 minutes to just get one thing that was missing. It took a manager to tell her to stop talking and a manager to get the thing that was missing. When we did finally get it it was cold and hard. Ordered Bob Evans through DoorDash tonight for dinner during this epidemic we are all in. I order a medium rare steak with green beans, Mac n cheese, and potatoe soup. My steak was well, no Mac cheese (i thought I was missing the soup but turns out it was just half frozen looking like the Mac n cheese), and instead of green beans I got half done carrots. I order my kids kids meals that came perfectly fine except I ordered them orange juices and a root beer...all three came as Sierra mists. When I called to tell them they completely messed my order up, all they did was offer me a $5 gift card. Never again will I give them my business. read more

This is based off of about three or four visits. Service is okay. But it takes forever for food to be cooked. On my most recent visit, my chicken and broccoli arrived burned. No matter when you go, it takes forever to get your food. And there never seems to be a manager available. read more

I ordered vegetable soup to go at this Weirton Branch yesterday. I usually go to either the Steubenville or East Liverpool Bob Evans because they do not water the soup down at those locations. I asked when ordering if the soup was nice and thick and then I asked again and was showed the soup through the lid and was told yes it looks pretty thick. Well it was completely watery with no flavor and the vegetables were not even done. It was not even edible. I will not go back to this Bob Evans again. This is the second time I have been their to get soup and the second time it was just plain nasty. None of the other stores have this problem. I am getting ready to just pitch 2/3 s of the order because it is too tasteless to even bother reheating. read more

We have been regulars of this place - for nearly 3 years. Today, when we walked in - a new menu was in place - and they had eliminated the chopped steak. That is my go-to item! We have gone here many times - but alas -- no more. The wait today was unbelievable. 45 minutes for the second entree. Only one cook - the manager finally had to step in and help - then claimed that her "equipment" was acting up. My Eye! When the server asked a third time about the chicken - the cook had a dazed look on his face -- he forgot to even start it. I ordered chicken gravy for my mashed potatoes and what they finally brought looked suspiciously like beef gravy. The "glazed carrots" were not at all as pictured on the menu -- just plain. We ordered a cup of chili -- a staple on the menu -- then they told us that it was frozen and had to be defrosted before they could serve it. We finally got the chicken - asked for a box and the bill. They said there was no bill - they were not charging us. This is not the servers fault - so we left her a tip - but we will not be returning to this poorly run outlet. read more
