Wait staff was nice. That is it. Pancakes hubby got were shiny? Looked like plastic, and tasted like pancakes that had been frozen and thawed. Toast was not good. The right start omlette I ordered which was one of the only better for you breakfast foods was swimming in grease, and hardly any chicken sausage in it. Mostly grease and cheese. First and only time eating here. Do not recommend their food. Very disappointed. read more

Ehh...we ordered the cinnamon triangles and they weren't done. Raw batter on outside of them. The coleslaw was spoiled. The server asked if I wanted something else, but didn't take it off the table. The kitchen should have been made aware. She didn't seem concerned. The fish was good, the banana bread was good. Service was ok, nothing fabulous. The double blueberry pancakes were not double, and very processed, didn't finish . Has browns also didn't look like photo, burnt , sausage and bacon was dry. Service was absent minded. read more

We stopped here on the way to Philadelphia for vacation. The store seemed to be well kept and our waitress was excellent. Definitely one of the better Bob Evans I've visited. Now onto my food... Fried Chicken Strips Dinner Cheese Twists What Is It: The strips dinner comes with 3 pretty big strips and fries as well as dinner rolls beforehand. The cheese twists are filled with asiago and mozzarella cheeses and comes with a marinara dipping sauce. Presentation: The chicken strips look heavenly although the fries looked kind of unattractive. The cheese twists looked awesome also. 9 out of 10 Taste/Final Analysis: The cheese twists were a tremendous take on a cheese appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and the cheeses were good, tasty choices. The marinara sauce was pretty run of the mill as was the mac and cheese. The chicken strips were juicy and delicious. I like that when you ask for dipping sauces they bring you big ole bottles of it. I got the spicy chipotle which is pretty self explanatory and delicious. The Old Route 55 sauce is their signature sauce which is a blend of spices that caused a nice zesty flavour although I think I preferred the other one. The fries were kind of soggy and disappointing. Wife and I stopped there for a quick dinner last night. There were maybe 3 tables occupied. We waited at the door for about 7 minutes no one would make eye contact with us. We grabbed menus and silverware and someone finally looked at us and said sit anywhere. After another 5 minutes a waitress took our drink orders and brought a Pepsi and an iced tea. Then we sat for 20 minutes and no one ever came to take our order. We left cash for the drinks and ended up at Dennys. read more

Went for lunch today and ordered the wild fire chicken salad. The waitress accidentally put it in the order as grilled chicken. I heard her tell the kitchen she needed fried instead. I was hoping at this point they were just going to remake the salad. No, they gave me a salad drenched in barbecue sauce with like 4 pieces of fried chicken and no dressing! I told the waitress and she said I'll tell my manager. The manager walks over and hands me my receipt and says "I took four dollars off." THATS ALL HE SAID. Weird as hell! Then I proceeded to explain to him why I was upset and that I was in a hurry and did not want to wait another hour for them to replace it. He said ok sorry and walked away! IT WAS SO AWKWARD! I was traveling from Pittsburgh, PA to Elm Grove, WV and decided to get lunch here. I have never been to a Bob Evans, just don't see them in southwest AZ. I had the sausage, eggs, hash browns, and French toast. Food was out fast and it was delicious. The food taste reminded Black Bear diner, which we have, but with slight less quantity. Server was very attentive. I doubt I will be in the area any time soon, but I would eat here again. read more

Went for breakfast today. Food was average and service was good. Why the two stars-- the wooden tables were sticky and the bathroom was worse than outhouse. Water all over the floor by the stalls with traffic cones there, paper towels everywhere. Why management would allow that to be used is terrible. read more

Very very disappointed. First, we made an online order of the herb chicken family dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans and a quart of potato soup. Along with a side salad, a piece of coconut cream pie and a piece of peanut butter pie. Within seconds, received a phone call. They were out of chicken and mashed potatoes. How do you run out of mashed potatoes? Very specifically asked if they were out of anything else and was told no. Cancelled that order and started again. This time, ordering the chicken strips in place of the herb chicken and the macaroni and cheese in place of the mashed potatoes. Paid for the order and after it was paid for, was told no potato soup, pick something else. Are you kidding me? Got home and unpacked the order and the peanut butter pie was runny and looked like something someone had already eaten and vomited back up. I have been to this location on Chestnut Street before and it's always a crap shoot. One time everything is fine, the next, not so much, but this is by far the most aggravating experience ever. Omg. Service is horribly slow. I could have waited on myself faster. Ignorant host sat a couple right in a dirt booth. Girl wiped it down forgot the seat part of the bench. What's even worse host saw the crap on the booth and didn't even offer to clean it up. My waiter J, was exceptionally slow. Took 10 mins for an iced tea. Guess what no tip from me. read more

After being disappointed that a nearby local breakfast cafe was not open, we stopped here for breakfast. Traveling through, and looking for a nice hot breakfast. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was very good. We had omelets which were freshly made with fresh veggies and very tasty. The home fries were also very good. You know how many times in my life I've said "Yeesh, should've gone to Denny's?" Exactly once, after stopping at this Bob's. You'd figure that since it is a franchise they should be relatively similar but this was a disaster. Our orders were all wrong, we were charged for things we never got, and the food made R sick. The food is usually good, but the service is hit or miss. I order online and pick up in the store. It used to be very efficient, but the past few times I have done that I have gotten there at my specified, predetermined pick up time and had to wait up to 15 minutes for my order. That defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. I have taken a break from ordering here, but will try again in the future. read more

This was my first visit to a Bob Evans restaurant. Nothing wowed me. I will not be returning in the near future. The restaurant is inviting and attractive. It took a few minutes for the harried, but pleasant hostess to get us seated. The seating is reasonably comfortable, enough space between diners for one to engage in conversation. The menu offers a wide selection of breakfast and non-breakfast items. At 9:40 on a Saturday morning, chicken pot pie was available, but not a baked potato. We ordered bread which did not arrive until a few minutes after the entrees were delivered. The entrees took about 25 minutes, a long time at breakfast with a young child. I imagine the pot pie held up delivery of the order. The bread was buttered and no additional butter was brought. Chicken pot pie was not a large portion, but was not bad. Pancakes were the type which I could have prepared from a box in my freezer. My wife's entree was not hot. Eggs were nothing special. Service from our pleasant waitress was satisfactory, but beverage refills lagged. We came here for convenience but most of the time would go the extra distance to the greatest breakfast and lunch restaurant in the region, The Original Pancake House. read more

On December 23rd we stop at the Bob Evans on Chestnut street for breakfast. We have been customers at Bob Evans for many years. There two in Washington Pa. We always go to the one on West Chestnut street because it is not as busy as the other one on Murtland Ave. It was a little more busy than usual and I always look at the clock when we sit down. My wife and I adjust the waiting times for the amount of customers in the store. Well in the past we had gotten cold meals because the waitresses are very busy. Well this time she brought my wife's breakfast in about 25 minutes and she apologizied that my wasn't ready. I waited another 10 minutes for my eggs and bacon and sausage. When she came to the table she said the eggs were a mess and asked if I wanted different eggs. I said yes because I never seen eggs like this in my life. They were trashed. I don't know what happened to them. So she took them back and I waited another 10 minutes for them to come back. I told my wife that the sausage and bacon was going to be cold and she said they will probably make a fresh breakfast, well they didn't. Now its been 50 minutes and still no breakfast for me. My wife was half way through her breakfast and mine just arrived. The eggs were all busted up again and dumped on top of each other. The waitress said they busted the yokes on 2 of the eggs and gave me a extra one for the mess. I put my finger on the sausage and it was ice cold! I got very upset. I asked for the manager and told him what had happened in the hour since we ordered. He told me he was going to take my breakfast off and I told I didn't even get to eat. Now I know why this store is in bad shape. It ruined my morning and my wife got up and left some of her breakfast. I want Bob Evans to call me and make this right. It was a terrible experience. We stopped in to this restaurant to eat. We encountered 5 people that worked there. 2 were dressed like managers. It was not busy, yet not one of them acknowledged us. The female manager helped someone that came in after us, who wanted to play a takeout order. The guy manager walked right by us. 2 people came in after us and a male worker came over, walked right passed us and asked them how many in their party and sat them. It was very obvious and one of the ladies from the party said she was sorry to us. 2 of the young female workers looked right at us many times, as did the female manager. After standing there for at least 5 mins without anyone acknowledging us, we told our kids we would leave and go to Denny's across the street. We were in Washington Pa visiting relatives for four days and decided to have breakfast at Bob Evans on Sept 11. What a mistake. The server did her best but the restaurant fell far short of what we are used to from our local Bob Evans restaurant. It took us well over an hour to receive our food and they brought out the dishes as they were done so none of us ate at the same time. My Pot roast, well it was nothing but pure fat. No one enjoyed their meal. I definitely do not recommend eating at this particular Bob Evans. read more
