Called about a job position to see if it's was available for my son on 2/4/26 11am since I seen the position was listed on indeed. I was transferred to a manager and she was the rudest person I've ever encountered on the phone. She told me it was better if my son were to call about the position. I tried to explain to her that I was calling to see if it was available and he would come in and fill out the application himself. She told me it doesn't look good that I called to start the process for him and that he probably wouldn't last at the job because I called and started the process for him..... I called to see if the position was open how is this starting it for him...... How extremely rude I called so we don't waste our time and put an application in if they are not hiring. Shame on her and it explains why this restaurant has 2.5 stars I guess my son dodged a bullet working here. Terrible customer service. No staff to serve customers one waitress for all the tables. Had to wait to be seated took two hours to have breakfast after my 20 minute wait to be seated. Absolutely unacceptable and this was on more than one occasion. read more

Food is amazing! But waiting over an hour to be seated while being told "I'm sorry the manager said we can't seat anyone due to how many online orders we have" is crazy. I'm all for being busy, that's understandable. But the goal with businesses like this should be to ensure customers share a similar dining experience...hard to be happy knowing the people who came in 45 minutes after me, sat down 4 minutes after me, got their food before I did, and finished eating all before my plate arrived. Not to mention every-time I go there the servers are in severe distress from issues that do not involve my party or table, I have sympathy and feel for them, but reviewing the experience I had at this business is what I'm doing, not bashing any of the servers I know customer service isn't for the weak! BUT WHY PRIORITIZE ONLINE ORDERS OVER YOUR IN-HOUSE CUSTOMERS?!?! EVERY OTHER PLACE I KNOW OF SHUTS DOWN THEIR INLINE ORDERING SERVICE TEMPORARILY IF THEY NEED TO CATCH UP not the other way around! Ordered delivery from this Bob Evans last night and still waiting for my order !!!! They partner with DoorDash and received updates saying the delivery is on its way. 10 mins later and says your order was handed off to you..... NOPE never received it and $25 down the drain. Callied the restaurant and the employee said they are not responsible for non delivery. they just make the order and hand it off to DoorDash. Not the type of service I'm looking for. Will probably never order here or anywhere that use's DoorDash. read more

Went there at 1140am....the parking lot isn't even half full. They have a ton of workers, but 8 people waiting for a while. People complaining where there food is and the workers just standing and talking. I give up this is the third and final time I will come to this location. read more

Went in with my family expecting a delicious cooked meal...instead I had a soggy sandwich and vegetable soup that tasted like someone just mixed a can of tomato soup with vegetables...it was not savory like normal vegetable soup. Chunky savory vegetable soup in a can tastes better. As for the sandwich, the bread and a carrots on it were the only good things about the sandwich. The meat was tough and dry with no flavor at all... the bread was soggy and barely held the sandwich together. On top of that the sandwich was put together like a two year old did it. And to end my review with a banger! There was barely anyone in the restaurant tonight....but there was two large families screaming at the top of their lungs to talk over each other. Service was fast and got my food and drinks fast but that was the only thing good about this restaurant. Our most recent visit here proved to be quite disappointing and will keep me believing for a very long time that this chain only does one thing well and that is breakfast... We have been seeing broasted chicken ads all over TV for a month and the chicken displayed looks awesome. Suffice to say that when both my wife and I ordered it last week, we received chicken that was about 4 shades darker and very dry. When we told the waiter he promptly requested NEW and we waited 15 mins only to be served the same quality. Too bad when marketing does its job but the restaurant fails to execute.. I used to like tis restaurant and i still!! But, today i went to the this place for breakfast, the steak was good, suddenly, i found a hair in the dish! I called the waitress and show her the hair, she asked me if i want other dish and i said no, she told me she will call the manager! Shortly, she came back with the bill! She said the manager is busy and she can't come!! I don't like the way they solve the problem! Other restaurant would offer free meal or at least an apology! Really, i would accept the apology! First Bob Evans I've ever been to that didn't know how to cook noodles. Ordered the spaghetti and the first time they brought it out all of the noodles were stuck together and they forgot the meat. Saturday Our waiter was nice, food priced correctly and everything was prepared well. Sunday we wanted a booth and were ok with waiting but staff got all upset. I have no idea why. Then manager asked why we were not seated rolled her eyes acted as if I'd done something to offend. My back hurt, knees hurt, I needed a booth area folks. Extremely hard for me to get up with arthritis. My health is not your concern nor is it something you roll your eyes at. This is why we walked out. I really hate this place and for some reason I lose my mind about twice a year and decide to try it again. I've never been happy with a meal here, and the service is always horrifying. We got sat in the kids section which made me want to rip my hair out from the start, then we got ignored by every server there. After ten minutes I finally had to stand up and go find someone to ask them if it would possible to put in an order. Then when our food came it was wrong. We never got a refill and I had to chase the server down again for the check. I won't be back for real this time. read more

Whenever I'm in town, I make a point to have breakfast here. They have the best sausage patties around. Period. I tasted the roast beef that someone at my table ordered and it was tasty too. Not many good things to say about today's visit to bob evans. I wanted to come and have some roast beef hash and guess what? They don't have it anymore. Apparently corporate has trimmed the menu down so some of your favorites may no longer be there. Our waitress may have had many tables, was hard to tell with the barrier walls, but someone else served our food and we were left still waiting on water and coffee refill after requesting it some time before. Let's talk about the food. We both got biscuits, they were so hard that when I put enough pressure to "break apart" the biscuit it shattered into pieces, literally. We got 2 of the four replaced only because that's ALL they brought us! The breading on my chicken fried steak lopped off immediately. And the omelet that was supposed to have pepper jack cheese in it was mysteriously never found nor tasted. Very disappointing meal. read more

This restaurant could learn a lot from our local coney islands. We came in on a Saturday morning for breakfast, although a manager was at the host stand we were ignored while they tried to seat another group. After we sat down, we waited 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table and offer us a cup of coffee. Waitstaff walked by constantly with pots of coffee in hand. Someone sat down at the table next to us and was served immediately. At that point we walked out and will never return. Afterward we went to a local Coney Island and were immediately offered a cup of coffee and had our order taken shortly after. read more

Can't praise the Manager enough, was to flustered to get his name.Hubby and I dine there when he gets paid at the 1st of the Month.Well this particular time we were more than embarrassed as hubby's Debit card was declined..we laughed and asked to try it again.There was scads of Monies in his account..my account however was dry..lol Well Manager said NO Problem..I said let me run to an ATM and see what happens there..hubby stayed behind in good faith, so as not to have the Manager think we were skipping out on our Bill.Well ATM across the street wouldn't give me any withdrawal either.Went back and still Manager said don't worry,breakfast is on us!!.Well get home and theres a snafu with my Credit Union..things got straightened away and I returned with the Money for the Bill.Just goes to show there are still some Wonderful people left in this World and I couldn't Thank him enough.Great Job with Customer Service!!! So I've been here a number of times and didn't think much of it either way until recently. It started with takeouts about a month ago. We ordered soup, rolls and stuffing. We were told 15 minutes and were 15 minutes away, so we thought fantastic. When we arrived, they had the food on the counter and so I went to pay. They checked the bag and found that the stuffing wasn't in there. No big deal, right? I was playing on the phone, waiting for the stuffing and not really paying attention. 30 minutes later?...still no stuffing and food is still sitting on the counter...40 minutes later we're about to say "forget it" and they come out with the stuffing and put it in the bag. When we get home we obviously have cold soup, but we also have tiny rolls that were hard and we have the worst stuffing I have ever encountered. It was sopping wet and I forced down one bite and threw out the rest. We just went back for breakfast yesterday and had horrible service. My sister had complained about the service before, but we tended to have service that never seemed good or bad. This time it was bad. We were seated promptly and were able to order fairly quickly but the table that was seated 10 minutes after us received their food 5 minutes before we ever got ours and we just had typical food: eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage. The table behind us was a stockpile of three tables that weren't bussed until two waitresses who were working different tables got sick of walking by the dirty table (they seemed to be pretty good waitresses, actually). Our food wasn't anything special and the waitress didn't come by with refills for our hot chocolate or a box for the banana bread, so I ended up going to the counter to ask for a box when I paid for the check. Needless to say, we will be going to one of the other Bob Evans restaurants in either Flint or Fenton, even though we live 3 miles away from this one. My suggestion, go to a different Bob Evans if you have a hankering for it. read more
