Given it's a Friday night and they are busy...my husband and I sat at the bar and there was one other person at the bar waiting on a to go order. We waited for about fifteen minutes for the bartender to even ask us what we wanted to drink. Ordered our drinks and food at the same time. People that sat at the bar after us got their food before us for some reason. Food came and it was good. Never really complained about the food. As I'm drinking my tall beer I noticed something floating in it. I put the beer away and didn't finish it. The silverware was dirty and beer had floaters in it. On June 17, 2025 Applebee's added and extra 10 dollars to my tip for my over my tip. I called and they finally said it was a mix up with another bill. I accepted their explanation for the error. However we went again yesterday, July 21, 2025 and again the tip on the bill is not what I had placed. They adder and extra 2 dollars to the tip. I will have to change how I deal with this place. We had dinner here last night. We sat at table #12 & Kelsey B was our waitress. She was very good and efficient. We enjoyed a great dinner. The food was hot and very satisfying. The place was getting pretty busy but everyone was being seated quickly. The table was a booth and very comfortable...no "bucket hole" in the on the bench seat. At 32 years old this is the first restaurant I've ever walked out of after receiving water and a menu. I have never been greeted, spoken to, or disregarded by staff in the manner I was here. I am not a person who needs a warm welcome and a smile, but this was beyond unacceptable. I've been through drive through taco bells where the employees were smoking weed in the parking lot, had to run back inside, and i still managed to receive better service with less attitude than this garbage establishment. Gossiping, catty, unprofessional, rude staff from the second i walked in the door that included Eye rolling, sighing and whining. They had over two hours until close and i asked for a booth. The award for biggest POS staff member goes to the boy who sat us this Saturday night. This kid needs to work somewhere that he can have his feelings catered to that isn't as "stressful" and "fast paced" as an applebeese at 1/8th capacity that has two people waiting to be seated. Never have i met a more emotionally immature, incapable person working in the service industry. If this is what is considered acceptable for an establishment, I'd rather eat a microwave dinner. This is the first time ive witnessed somebody whose only job is to seat people that couldn't handle themselves and was on the verge of a breakdown and taking it out on customers. Kinda disappointed in our experience today! Sat at booth 66 at the Grand Blanc location. I ordered water with lemon and was brought ice tea instead so I sent that back and got my water. Ordered our food, appetizer came out and the tortilla chips were extremely salty. Burgers were very good but the fries were horrible. Stale, cold and overcooked. Had to scan a QR code at the table to pay our bill and noticed she had charged me for the ice tea I didn't order. Sat there for 10 minutes look for the waitress to take it off but said forget it after I was tired of waiting. Paid the bill anyway. She appeared when we we're getting ready to walk out and questioned if I had paid the bill because she didn't get a notification on the tablet she was carrying around. I showed her my phone where it says "thank you for coming" but she went off the check to make sure so we had to stand there looking like we did something! Maybe next time I am able to go back I will try the Fenton location. read more

Update: This location is very close to my home so I come here often. Although most times I don't have any issues with service today I did. I took my mom to lunch today and the restaurant was busy for lunch. Micah was the host that seated us. After sitting at our table for over ten minutes without being greeted by our waitress I asked Micah if he informed our waitress we were there. He said he would tell her and they are extremely busy. After another 6 minutes I told Micah again we haven't seen a waitress and two tables that were sat after us have already ordered their meals and we haven't even received a glass of water. He told me the other two tables had a different waitress. I asked if he could get us anyone who could help us out, he informed me that he already told our waitress Courtney and she'll be over when she can. So I asked to speak with the manager. After an additionalminutes Brittany the manager came out and said she would wait on us. Brittany was very apologetic and got us our drinks and food right away. Although the killer looks Courtney gave us after her manager had to serve us was less than appropriate. When we received the bill they didn't even bother to comp anything on our check, which was not expected but would have been a nice gesture since we wasted over a half hour on their incompetence. I read through the reviews and noticed that the vast majority of them are either by grumpy old folk or people that already came in with a negative attitude and then went out of their way to write a vague review for no other reason other than getting joy out of complaining. First off, it's Applebee's. It's not suppose to be some high-class fine-dining experience. It's suppose to be a chill place to eat that is above fast food in your bedroom. Expecting it to be some mind-altering experience that you brag about is insane. That being said, this location is pretty consistent all around. The food isn't Gordon Ramsay, but it isn't McDonald's. The drinks are normally what they're described as. The prices are acceptable. The only improvement I would claim is for the hostesses to acknowledge people a little quick and for any employee to know anything about beer. But again, it's Applebee's. We went out for our anniversary. I never expect anything to go right, whenever we go out, but I was hopeful this time. We sat at the bar. We both ordered the Blue Hawaiian drink. My husband said that his first one tasted different than the other (made by two different people, but should taste the same, regardless). We ordered 3 appetizers and one entree. 1. The entree came out before the appetizers.... WHAT IS THE POINT OF AN APPETIZER? 2. When we received our appetizers, the nachos were very bland and tasted like they were microwaved (I've had these before at a different location). 3. When I ran out of a drink (the nachos were spicier than normal), the bar tender was gone for 5 minutes doing whatever she was doing. I literally sucked on an ice cube until I could get a water from her. I will not return to this location. The FLINT location is 10x better and friendlier! read more

Service is weak, and food was bland. Hostesses did not acknowledge me walking in, and seemed put off by my being there. After asking for a table for one, I was promptly seated where I waited for a server to show up. I studied the vast menu and decided what to have and waited some more before the server finally showed up. She did apologize for the wait and took my drink order, but not the food order even after I told her I was ready to order food as well. When she returned I ordered the double crunch bone-in wings from the bar snacks menu and a clubhouse grille sandwich. The server asked if I would like the wings before the sandwich and I clearly said yes. The wings and sandwich came out together, and instead of the bar snacks wings I got the full order which is twice the price. I didn't complain because it's a simple mistake. The food was was nothing special, but consistent for Applebee's. I got a single refill on my ice tea and was not offered another despite running dry. I stayed around well after I was ready to leave to see how long it would take to get a refill. I decided to take a photo of the empty cup, when the server noticed she asked if I would like an iced tea to go. To add on my boyfriends steak was overly cooked and he couldn't even cut it ! And the lemonade was like water I always try to give Applebee's a chance cause they're not badly priced but I will never go there again and take my money somewhere else $50 completely wasted cause the food was barley eatable . Applebee's as a chain have declined over the last year or so. That being said my experience at this location was by far the worst. We were told there would be about a 20 minute wait, looking around the restaurant I saw 3-4 tables that were available but sat not cleared for most of our 20 minute wait. Service was beyond slow, and after asking our waitress for lemon for my water 4 different times and still not getting any lemon I just waved the white flag and surrendered. As for the food it was on par with other Applebee's, warm and generic tasting. Never thought I would say this but I was envious of those patrons that chose the Bob Evans located next door for there dinner. read more

This location continues to do better every time I visit! The food is always a solid 4-star, although they don't have (to me) the varied menu that Chilis has, nor some of my favorites. But when I want a decent steak this is my go-to place. On Friday, I was served by Carissa - and she made it a 5-star trip. Stopped into Applebee's to meet some friends prior to hitting the highway for our weekend away. We ponied up to the bar and had a couple beers, freshly fried chips, and french dip sliders. I enjoyed everything I had, especially the beer (Shocktop). The place was extremely busy, lots of families, and our bartender was cute and attentive. Good neighborhood fare. Applebee's mixes up the menu enough to keep the choices fresh while not dispensing with the old favorites. Waitstaff is attentive and fun without being overbearing. Portions were good value for the price and the food was cooked to perfection. Not usually a fan of the mid level chains, but locally I need a break from the Coney every now and then. The steak quesadilla tower is awesome. Absolutely horrible Roadside service. Waited over 10 minutes just to be helped on the phone but was only 2 minutes away. My sister decided to call to prove a point and waited just as long. Ok so a little back ground. I spent the day in my boat with my son,12 daughter 8 and my two nieces 5 and 15. After leaving the lake everyone was hungry. I said to the kids, what do you guys want to eat? My son said Halo Burger everyone else said Applebee's. I was in agreement with Applebee's. So to make my son happy I took him to Halo Burger. He got out the truck went inside got his food came back. He got a burger combo and a milkshake. We then proceded to go to Applebees. My son finished his food before we got there but still had his milkshake. He took his milkshake inside Applebees. So we all proceded to go into Applebees. They gave us menus and seated us. After about 5 min of being seated the manager ran over to us and said " He can't have that in here". I said what are you talking about? He said no outside food. I said "what" it's a milkshake. He said it does not matter. I said ok fine we will leave. During that time my two nieces were in the restroom. He came back and offered us to pour the milkshake into another cup. I stated no we are all set we we are leaving. He was very rude. We went next door to Bob Evans instead. My son kept his shake. They had no issues. And we all ate and had a good time. Manager was a non empathetic a hole as well. I have been to about 12 Applebee's in my lifetime and this by far was the worst experience in my life. Not only was the bartenders not very friendly when i tried to make conversation but i was cut off after 2 drinks. That made me mad but thats not the reason I'm writting this review. The manager came out and when i said i was not tipping she said that's not nice for doing her job. Then i said if she was doing her job she'd ask if im driving and i would have told her I'm not. But she didn't ask so it was not about responsibility it was personal. Even the couple i was talking to said it was stupid cause i was showing no signs. Anyway that is what it is and idc but this manager was blatantly rude. When i told her they don't do that in vegas and i hate the way I've been treated in Michigan. She said why did you come here... (Wth seriously) then she continues "no one asked you to come here" wow! Horrible totally escalated the anger i already had for the establishment. So in my opinion the bartending sucks but the managment is horrible and has no customer empathy at all. Oh also i told the manger i was writing a bad review on Yelp and she says "Oh it's ok we don't care about Yelp." Service was honestly surprisingly bad. Every order was wrong, every bill was wrong. I was disappointed by the fact that when the manager came to fix all of our bills they were still wrong and did not offer to comp anything.
