I'm a big fan of Bob Evans, but unfortunately​ the quality varies greatly from location to location. I can happily report that this is one location that I will continue to frequent. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, a departure from my normal eggs, hash browns​, link sausage, and toast. I was not disappointed and found the prices to be well worth the quality and quantity​ of food. Quickly seated. Server approached table within 2 minutes. The Rise and Shine breakfast was perfectly prepared. Eggs were perfect. The Chicken Sausage was outstanding. Hashbrowns were very tasty. I love love BoB Evans but this is by far the very worst!!!! For starters, I flipped my cup over to wait for coffee and it was dirty!! So I had to go to three..... yes three different tables to find a clean one!! I brought this to the waiters attention and he told me it was because they don't get used and the reason he doesn't use them!?!?! Come on dude really?? Received my sunshine skillet and it was luke warm along with my toast!!! My husband received his border scramble and yes, luke warm also along with his toast that my toast plate was on top of when he brought them to our table!! Gross!! Yes, I expressed how terrible the food and service was after we paid our bill for food that we only took a few bites of. Something needs to change in this BoB Evans after giving this one three chances. Not ever going back to this place. Very disappointed BoB Evans!!!!! read more

This is by far the worst Bob Evans I have ever been to. Our simple order of two senior meals, two child meals, a salad and fruit has taken over 1 hour. Additionally, our orders came out cold, the server touched one of my children's foods and didn't bother to apologize or offer a replacement. She then quickly left before we could say anything. We had to wait 10 minutes because nobody could find our waitress and nobody was willing to provide us a replacement of the food (I'm assuming because it was her ticket?). Listen, we go to the local Bob Evans here in Kansas City and the waitstaff and experience is absolutely opposite so this experience has not soured me. However, this particular location appears to need a major overhaul. I wouldn't send a rat to eat the food there...that's how bad the food and service was. read more

Once again, Bob Evans has disappointed me. I ordered a salad for carry-out. It had to be a bag salad and not real fresh at that. I didn't get the dressing-no surprise-and the fried chicken was just okay. I'm sure other Bob Evans are great, but this one in Elkins is not. Service isn't great either. Bob Evan's is one of my favorite restaurants and I have ate at this particular restaurant 3 times. The most recent (Sept. 30th at 3pm) was just as delicious as any other visit. We were met quickly and efficiently at the waiting area by a smiling waitress and were seated promptly. The establishment was clean and looked very nice and inviting. Our waiter took our drink order and bustled to fulfill our preferences. After receiving our drinks and placing our order, the waiter passed a couple times and I could easily tell he was making sure our glasses were full and we had plenty of rolls. Our food arrived within 15 minutes of placing our order so I was completely stunned and much appreciative because I was famished. During our meal, the waiter again made a few passes and stopped a few times asking how the food was and if we needed anything else. The food was terrific as always! Everything arrived piping hot, super fresh and just as requested. I had the turkey dinner and I cleaned my plate in record breaking time! The turkey was moist and tender, the green beans were loaded with onions and bacon bits, the stuffing was decadent and melted in my mouth and the mashed potatoes and gravy were whipped to perfection and ooey gooey. I opted for French toast instead of dessert and was very pleased with the semisweet treat topped off with powdered sugar. Overall, as most visits to Bob Evan's, I was very satisfied, well taken care of and met with a special charm that feels exclusive and welcoming. I would very highly recommend and I will be stopping back soon! read more

We live at Snowshoe and are in the food and beverage industry fo 30 years! We used to realy enjoy your Bob Evans but not anymore.It has gone downhill drastically.The food quality has really changed and when we talked to the manager about brown lettuce in the Cobb Salad he did not seem to really care at all. This was a favorite for my husband and I to share before oyur entree. The service seems to be a reflection of management ,servers not attentive to your needs and do not seem to be enjoying their job at all!After our first bad experience we did not give up we all have bad days! However after two more tries we will not be returning anymore! Its a shame because it used to be very enjoyable,delicious,nice service with employees who really seemed to care.Management should lead by example and check on tables to see how thir experience is?I think your Management team has really dropped the ball !There was a time we would have given you a much higher rateing! read more

This is the worst Bob Evans I have ever been too. The waitress was horrible and the food was nasty. We sat for an hour waiting on our food and not one time did the waitress refill our coffee or tea. When we got our food it was cold and had no flavor at all. The best thing about my meal was the wheat toast. $40.00 down the drain!!! We should have went to Apple Bee's!!! Look - I have been eating at this establishment for 10+ years. Never had a bad meal, never had bad service. Simply put, if you find fault with the Elkins Bob Evans, you are my sworn enemy. I even enjoy getting out of my car in the parking lot. Turn my head to the midday sun, listen to semi-trucks downshifting. Hello Sheetz! Hello Big Lots! Sometimes I don't even go inside. Food not good. Service was slow and non existing

Today, I went to Bob Evans with three friends, and we had the absolute worst experience we have ever had at any restaurant. It wasn't busy at all, and the waitress we had was named Kia. One of us ordered a three course dinner with chili as his soup and shrimp as his main course. Another one of us ordered the three course dinner with a garden salad and a steak--he specified that he wanted nothing on his steak. He wanted it just plain, and he told our waitress. She never asked what sides he wanted. Another one of us order a sandwich and fries, and I ordered the shrimp and cod dinner with fries and mac and cheese. The salad was brought out, but the chili was not brought out. When the steak was brought out, it was covered in what appeared to be onions and gravy. It was also served with mashed potatoes that she gave as his side. The steak was taken back and corrected, and she brought out plain steak and potatoes. When she went to give me my shrimp and fish, she knocked half of the shrimp and some of the fries off of my plate and onto the tray. She motioned it towards me and asked if I still wanted them. Of course, I said no. She laughed and just walked away. My one friend had still not received his chili even after the food was brought out. The two of them that were supposed to get dessert with their three course meals were never even asked what they wanted for their dessert. We were never asked if we needed anything else, and we were never even given refills. Our waitress proceeded to just give one of my friends the check with all four meals on it without asking if we needed the check split. She also still had on the check that two of them had three course dinners even though she never brought out the chili or asked them what they wanted for dessert. She also never offered to replace the food of mine that had gotten knocked onto the tray. When we went to pay, it took the cashier, another gentleman working, and our waitress to split the check and actually put on each check what we had been served. Both of the three course meals had to be corrected to just the entrees. During the entire experience, we never felt welcome and we were never offered compensation for what had happened. Our waitress seemed to have a terrible attitude and acted like she just wanted us to be gone. It was extremely frustrating to have such terrible service and to have to pay for food that I didn't even get and to not get compensated for the food that was dropped. We regularly go to this restaurant as it is close to our college, but we are not likely to return if this is the service they are offering. read more
