This weekend I went camping with my friends for the first time. We went to a place called lake farm and it was amazing. When we first got there we set up camp and went on a little hike (burn the quads) then went swimming (treading water and burning the core) and then had a nice fire and went to sleep under the stars with mosquitos humming night songs in our ears. We woke up early morning to the beautiful sun and went on another little hike enjoying the wildflowers and plants. It is safe to say we were hungry by the time we arrived at this Bob Evans location, and both Bob and Evan did not let us down. Do not get an iced coffee but other than that tasty food. The person who sat us was hardly friendly and greeting. We had just ordered our food. It consisted of two chocolate chip pancakes, French toast, home fries, and sausage links. Within 5 minutes maybe even less, our food was coming to our table. I just knew something was not right. Then when I started eating I knew I was correct. The chocolate chip pancakes were underdone. The sausage links were hardly cooked, only grilled on one side. The home fries were undercooked and some even still tasted raw. My boyfriend said his French toast just tasted like bread, no flavor of any batter being on them. I would put a 0 star rating if I could. read more

Food is decent when there's no hair in it, or no chunks of things stuck on your plate. Other than the burger was so greasy I had to get them to change the bun, soaked it again, until I just couldn't eat it and asked for a refund. Will be trying a different location. read more

My husband and I and my toddler have been frequently dining in here for about three years now. The past year it has become more frequent that you won't be acknowledged or greeted at the door for up to 10-15 minutes, even if we are the only people waiting to be seated. We've attempted to be patient and twice have decided to leave and go to another restaurant. The wait for food has also become progressively longer with each visit, not because the quality has increased, the opposite in fact. There have been multiple occasions we received food that was cold, all while watching parties that were seated 15-20 minutes after us receive their warm plates of food before ours ever hits our table. If you are a regular that knows the staff or an elder, you may not have a bad time, but if you are an occasional visitor you will likely be forgotten in favor of those regulars and elders. read more

Tried to go today, lots of help but not one person made eye contact to seat us. People before us left and we finally did as well. It's a shame since we like their food but they need to train their help on common courtesy. I spent years in restaurant business and there is no excuse for this behavior. Employees were very friendly, food was tasty & restaurant was clean. They have put up dividers between the booths, spread out tables and I observed the manager doing an amazing job of cleaning the booths. We felt very safe during our visit. read more

I don't normally leave low marks. Especially for chain restaurants. I just don't rate them. I don't know if it's all Bob Evans or just this one. Their portions seem to get smaller each time we come. Now they've done away with the unlimited bread. I don't mind so much but my husband is pretty mad. The annoying thing to me is they bring your bread long before you get your food. So either you eat it while it's fresh and warm or let it sit on table and get cold. Or you can't resist and you eat it before you get your food. Which they then charge you for more bread. Seems like they planned on that out well. When I suggested they wait to bring the bread with food to the girl at the register she didn't even acknowledge that. Went to this Bob Evans a few times and never had a bad meal. The food comes out timely and the waiters are always keeping up with drinks and anything else you need. I can't really review on the lunch and dinner combos due to the fact I always get breakfast items! But.. All there breakfast food is so good.. I don't expect anyone else to go to Bob Evans and get anything but breakfast.. Totally what there known for. They recently did a remodel of this location so I would go check it out! This visit was unpleasant. Understaffed and food took over 30 minutes to bring out. The bacon on my chicken sandwich was undercooked. Cook wasn't wearing mask properly and was slow due to him having to cook for many takeout orders also. Service was slow because she had to wait on cook. My elderly parents stopped in Sunday morning. Mom loves the loaded potato soup. Dad likes the veggie beef. Even though they were too early for lunch they will normally heat up and serve the soup. Cold breakfast food served 2 weeks in a row! Manager was cooking today, 9/12 at 8 am, but they weren't even busy so you'd think they could serve 2 plates of hot food! Hashbrowns and meat were not warm. When asked to heat up the meat, our waitress said to the booth across from us "you'd have just eaten it, wouldn't you?" Unbelievable!!!! Told cashier food was cold when she asked...she just repeated the word "cold" like a Zombie and handed the receipt to me. I've been to this location twice and it's been the worst service and food I've ever experienced at a Bob Evan's. This last time we waited at our table for 15 mins with no water or coffee and not one person coming to the table. It wasnt even busy, servers passing by without even a glance. Even the manager stood by chit chatting and not noticing or caring that we were being ignored. We ended up walking out. This rating is not for the restaurant itself as I was not able to obtain any food. Instead, it's for bobevans.com which does not have any place to enter a gift card to pay for online orders. I was trying to provide food to be delivered to family members who have Covid and can't leave home, so I sent them a Bob Evans e-gift card. After initially being excited and grateful to get the gift card, my family was quickly disappointed and annoyed that they could not order food. So, please everyone, be aware that you can't use Bob Evans gift cards to order food online--neither for pick-up nor for delivery; you have to use them only in the restaurant, which, in Covid times, is not helpful at all. I was able to cancel my credit card charge and void the gift card. I'll find another restaurant which has the ability to use a gift card online for delivery. read more

This place just continue to disappoints Me. Went to dinner last night at 8:40PM the place is closing at 9:30PM all our orders are just disappointments. We order the bacon maple and the bacon still so saggy. Everyone is already busy cleaning for closing while the dining area still pack of customer. I understand they are trying to be ready so when everyone leaves there only a few stuff that needs to be done but they should never forget that customer still there and need attention. This is literally the dirtiest restaurant I have ever stepped foot in! First the host sits us at a dirty table, which he had to I guess because literally every other table in the place was dirty with food, plates and glasses all over them! There was food and napkins and silverware ALL OVER the floors. While we are waiting for someone to come clean our table for over 10 minutes, we are looking at the menus when we realize they have old sticky dried up ketchup or something all over them! Finally a waitress came over after waiting 10 minutes and asks "am I too late?", as we are getting up to leave. Uhh yeah you think? This restaurant continues to disappoint. I go out to breakfast two to three times a week and usually I go to poochies. Of the half a dozen or so times that I have been to Bob Evans the food is just been absolutely horrible in comparison. They constantly over salt the potatoes and they're always undercooked. In fact most of the breakfast food in general comes out undercooked. By far the worst thing is the potatoes they are little chunks of undercooked boiled over salted gross. The best thing about the place is at least the wait staff is friendly and accommodating. Do yourself a favor and drive a couple miles up the street to poochie's place if you want to get breakfast. read more

We wont be back. PROS: Clean. Server Moriah. She's been there for 4 yrs. She's good & she cares. CONS: At the entrance, we stood at the abandoned Hostess stand waiting for someone to acknowledge our existence, but instead was ignored by a bunch of snooty girls STANDING around whispering to each other like they were still in HS. When I finally asked if we should seat ourselves, one waitress mumbled something as she searched for the Hostess, who eventually seated us, WITH A "YOU ARE BOTHERING ME" ATTITUDE. There's a loud mouth manager there and it's obvious she needs a therapist who should medicate her, and she is part of the problem. I looked for cameras to see if they were filming a Real Housewives spinoff, like Real (Bad) Waitresses of Clermont County. We ordered pancakes and eggs, which for some reason at 10am took over 15 minutes to make. I saw a lot of employees standing around talking instead of working. If I was the Regional Mgr, I would clean house, keep Moriah, and start over with the staff. It was a very annoying experience. read more

Regular Bob Evans menu and decor. However this is not great on service. Never got food hot but warm. You will regularly wait to be seated no matter what time and how many tables are open. They have no problem sitting families with small children that are rioty next to adults wanting to enjoy their meals. Overall it seems to be in need of better management. read more

Never know. Sometimes great, sometimes good and sometimes you wasted your money. This Bob Evans is not reliable to give great service all the time. Often you will see patron's food sitting in the window getting cold for long waits of time, but its local. My family and I go to Bob Evans in Amelia, Ohio as often as we can, but since they started carrying the Broasted chicken, we have eaten there at least once a week. We get the 12 piece meal, complete with the best cole slaw on the planet, mashed potatoes, rolls and butter. I must say the chicken is moist, not greasy, and Broasted to perfection.
