I honestly don't know if words can fully capture how much Rissy has helped me over the years, but…read moreshe deserves every bit of recognition I can give. When I first started working with Rissy, I was looking for support, guidance, and someone who would truly listen. What I found was so much more than a therapist. Over the years, she has become one of the most important positive influences in my life. Her compassion, patience, professionalism, and genuine dedication to her clients are unlike anything I have ever experienced. What sets Rissy apart is that she doesn't just do the minimum expected of a therapist. She consistently goes above and beyond. She takes the time to understand not only what you're struggling with in the moment, but who you are as a person. She remembers details, follows up on things that matter to you, celebrates your victories, and helps you navigate your challenges with incredible care and insight. Every session feels meaningful because she makes you feel heard, understood, and valued. One of the things I appreciate most about Rissy is her ability to create a safe, judgment-free space. No matter what I was going through, I never felt judged, dismissed, or rushed. Instead, I felt supported. She has a remarkable ability to listen deeply and offer perspectives that helped me understand myself in ways I never could before. Many times, she helped me see strengths in myself that I couldn't recognize on my own. Over the years, life has thrown plenty of challenges my way, and through every difficult season, Rissy has been there to help me work through them. She has helped me build healthier coping skills, improve my confidence, navigate relationships, manage stress, and develop a much healthier outlook on life. The growth I've experienced isn't something that happened overnight--it was built through years of her consistent support, encouragement, and expertise. What I admire most is how genuinely invested she is in helping people succeed. You can tell that this isn't just a job for her. She truly cares. She celebrates progress with you, supports you during setbacks, and never gives up on helping you move forward. That level of dedication is rare and incredibly meaningful. Looking back, I can honestly say that my life is better because of Rissy. I am stronger, healthier, more confident, and more hopeful than I was when I first started therapy. The positive changes I've made are changes that will stay with me for the rest of my life, and she played a huge role in making them possible. If you're considering therapy and have the opportunity to work with Rissy, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, supportive, professional, and truly exceptional at what she does. Finding a therapist who genuinely changes your life is rare, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found her. Thank you, Rissy, for your years of support, kindness, patience, and guidance. The impact you've had on my life is immeasurable, and I will always be grateful for everything you've done to help me become the person I am today. Without question, one of the best decisions I've ever made was starting therapy with Rissy.

She never pushed anything on us, she was fair and open and loving. She is also one of those people you feel an immediate kinship with because she is a beautiful soul. My fiancé and I are spiritual but not religious, and we searched for someone who understood and respected this. Lynne was exactly this person. She incorporated special requests into the ceremony and suggested some things that were so wonderful. Finally, she left us with a complete transcript of the ceremony for us to cherish forever and a beautiful hand painted spirit rock that will be a constant reminder of this incredible day. Our ceremony was my favorite part of our entire wedding because it was filled with so much light and love thanks to Lynne. Guests came up to me afterwards to say that they had never seen such a beautiful ceremony and even those extended friends of family who hadn't known us well cried from how emotional it was. I recommend Lynne to anyone who wants a truly unique, spiritual and love-filled ceremony.

Embark at the Poconos saved my daughter's life…read more After months and months of other programs (inpatient stays, PHP's, IOP, outpatient therapy...), with several ER visits and two attempts to take her own life, the team in the Poconos was able to reach into her heart and mind, past all the darkness and fear and lies she was telling herself to get her to see a sliver of the light and realize she WAS loved and WAS lovable. Her Dad and I and many other therapists tried to tell her and show her these things, but the combination of the house environment (the structure), the team members and the approach at Embark was what she needed to feel safe enough to open up. And when those flood gates opened, we all went on a ride to dark places but we needed to, and she was in a safe place to do so, mentally and physically. At the house, there were strict rules about sleep times, daily hygiene, chores, meal times, phone calls home, healthy food options, and school time, on top of the individual and family therapy. Therapy will look different for every child and family, but know that the staff is highly trained, approachable, compassionate, and will enforce a safe environment for all during sessions. outings were a fun way to reward the girls for their hard work. Medications were handled by a wonderful medical staff in a safe and consistent manner. Meals were prepared by an in-house chef. Life coaches monitored and supervised for everyone's safety. Expectations were clearly set upon arrival and consequences were upheld as needed. In addition to the Embark team counseling your child, they bring the family into therapy. Even after your child leaves the house, you have contact with the team and they do all they can to smoothly transition you into your next treatment program, whatever that may be. As past or current parents of children at Embark, we also get to meet virtually twice each month for a Parent Support Group. There is a community of families being beaten down by mental illness right now in our world, and most of the members are in hiding, ashamed and with no idea how to get help. THIS is one way to get help for your child and your family. You are not alone, you are loved, your are worthy, and IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. Take that step. Trust. Heal.
