I've been going to see Amy Wohl for almost a year, and she's been very helpful and encouraging in…read moreour sessions. First and foremost, Amy can't "fix" you. In fact, only you can fix you. But Amy can help you see that, and she can then give you guidance and the tools to fix, adjust to or change whatever it is you're going through. Amy is honest and sometimes plainspoken, but she's also compassionate. She won't sugar coat things for you, but she won't brow beat you either. From personal experience, I know that some talk therapists can fall into the trap of saying your problems are everyone's fault but your own or that they're all completely your fault, neither of which is truly helpful. One of my favorite things about working with Amy is that she is more of a motivator or coach than anything else. She's very much aware that your physical well-being is directly connected to your mental and emotional well-being, and she's always suggesting physical things--like running, biking, swimming, or even a leisurely walk--that will ultimately help your mental and emotional state. And she's always in favor of making a solid plan. "What do you want to change? What do you want to achieve? What does that look like in your life? Then how do you get to that point?" These are some of the questions Amy will ask of you, and if you're willing to do the work, she'll help guide you through the steps necessary to answer them. Another thing I like about Amy is that she doesn't suggest prescription medication as a knee-jerk reaction for treatment. Prescription medication can be and often is a necessary aspect of therapy for many, many people, and Amy has said that herself, but she also prefers to seek out a non-prescription route for treatment first. I have and will continue to suggest to anyone looking for a good talk therapist to reach out to Amy Wohl and tell her a bit about yourself.

I am very grateful to have met her. She provides value in ways that very few people in my life have been able to. Basically I was struggling to make positive decisions in my life. I wasn't making healthy choices when finally I realized that I couldn't turn my life around on my own. She provided concrete ways in which I could better myself and convinced me that there is a better way to live. I have no idea what I would have done without her help. I highly recommend Rachel as a life coach to others struggling to make better decisions and find their way in life. Even if you think you have it all together. Her insight is valuable and she can help coach you to make better choices and surround with others like her that will get your life moving in the right direction or even take your life to the next level.

The only reason this place gets two stars is because of the therapist I spent almost a year…read morebuilding trust with and the former front desk ladies who were so friendly and helpful. I was informed that my therapist was leaving early December in the middle of November. Because I was going once a month and my next scheduled appointment was after my therapist left, I found out that my last session was as such just before it ended. I don't blame my therapist. I noticed things going downhill in the office when the front desk ladies kept leaving. The last one there that I encountered seemed frazzled and frustrated. It took a few weeks to find another therapist for me. She told me they are hiring new people . That tells me a lot of therapists left and they need replacing bc based off what I heard on phone conversations in the past, booking with a new therapist wasn't as difficult as it currently is. They have. A 3 month waiting list! The thing that really got me was 2 days prior to the New Year, they informed me they are no longer accepting my insurance. When I called to cancel future appointments with my new therapist ( wasn't fond of her. She is too hyper for my personal Preference. I have been in therapy longer than she has been practicing) they told me that the insurances companies informed them last minute. I call Bs. I suspect they knew a lot sooner. The owner who is also a therapist, really needs to figure it out because I see things sliding downhill really fast. You have a ton of upset clients . You should have kept clients coming back at a sliding scale for the month of January to allow for the transition. I'm lucky I am not in dire need of therapy, but shame on you for allowing clients to be without a therapist now. I see a bunch of positive reviews with the owners last name, Soto-hmmm . Also, the only other review on here is the owners wife! Lmao . Seems he got the family to pump up the reviews for the company. Shame on your Bavoy.

The front receptionist was very nice but Dr. Wolfson was the rudest person I've ever met. He laughed at me when I said I was depressed over my father's death 10 years later and told me I have no reason to be sad or anxious. He also told me I'm a drug addict which I'm not, because I came to see a specialist. He was very unprofessional. I don't recommend anyone going here or if you do go here, don't see this doctor.
