I went here for the first time today and it will be my last. I had an appointment and waiting 50 minutes to see the doctor. The front receptionist was very nice but Dr. Wolfson was the rudest person I've ever met. He laughed at me when I said I was depressed over my father's death 10 years later and told me I have no reason to be sad or anxious. He also told me I'm a drug addict which I'm not, because I came to see a specialist. He was very unprofessional. I don't recommend anyone going here or if you do go here, don't see this doctor. read more

The Center for Stress Reduction is an awesome mental health treatment center. The owners are wonderful people, Dr Gordon is the best, and so are the other people working there. I have had nothing but extremely positive expwriences with them. read more

Horrible customer service, the only one that returns a call is the biller. The Dr staff that submits RX refills is inadiquite at best, NO ONE EVER RETURNS calls and there is NO FOLLOW THRU-- good luck -- we are beyond frustrated with the lack of empathy with some of the people that work here. Let me say on a positive note, that the woman who does intake is absolutely kind and lovely. Her approach and tone are highly professional. With that said, I had an awful first experience walking into the center, and after reading the reviews on FB and Yelp, I see that I am by far not the only one. AWFUL. Downright awful front staff. Pathetic lack of courtesy. Bu- Bye. Patients give you respect and you return it. And side note ... Technically, WE pay YOUR salary!!!!! I was greeted like a barn animal so I politely told them I am sorry I won't be staying. And rudely "Well its GONNA BE A LONG TIME UNTIL YOU CAN GET ANOTHER APPOINTMENT." Me with a smile, "Oh okay. I am so sorry. I understand completely. That is fine. My apologies." These places and doctors think they are EVALUATING us the patients!!! Well guess what ... Made an appointment with intake person! Waited 2 weeks to see them and got there and they told me there was no appointment in their system and now they couldn't help me nor could they make another appointment for me since I needed to go back to their intake person! Like that worked well the first time!! Please don't waste your time like I did! Go elsewhere! read more

Shockingly unprofessional and incredibly rude staff. We had 2 appointments at 3 and 4, all they wanted was the copay money then left us sitting for 25 minutes. When I asked about the times of the appointments I was told something completely different and was treated sooooooo rudely when I asked about it. We ended up leaving when the receptionist interrupted a conversation we were having with another patient with her rude comments. read more

Everything that was ever wrong with the mental health industry growing up in the 90's is still going on in this literal hole in the wall. Ugly dark waiting room with two faded nature photographs from literally the 90's, rest of the walls barren, messy rack of worn-out Cosmos and the like, great to browse through if you're a teen being treated for anorexia or body dysmorphia, amirite? Nothing else, not even WiFi, and staff claims "not to know the password". Because I'm sure they're able to perform their jobs 8 hours a day in 2020 while not knowing the password to their own WiFi, or if they can, just not bothering to learn because I'm sure I was the first patient to ever ask. Young kids in tow for their sibling's 45 minute appointment? Forget any toys, TV, drawing area, or even just space to play with stuff they brought from home. Just a very small room full of forlorn parents and bored siblings for 45 minutes using up their data. Only dealt with one therapist, Alice Fox, a social worker, not a psychologist, and not a doctor of anything. After requesting a female who was "good with teens", was rather surprised to see an 80 year old skeksi-like crone emerge and beckon my 13 year old daughter with witch nails. I thought my daughter would balk at the age difference, but turns out Fox is rather progressive for being an 80 year old, suggesting after only 1 visit that my 13 year old daughter be on birth control. So if this is the kind of professional assessment and perspective you want a therapist to lend to YOUR young teen daughter, ask for her by name. Speaking of asking for her by name, after a conversation with the receptionist about whether or not my daughter can come in even earlier than her past two appointment times at 3:45, you know, because of, like, school, I show up at the third appointment to find the recurring appointment had not even been booked, even though I had been perfectly clear that this was to be our recurring appointment schedule, and, like, isn't that how therapy even works? Our first appointment was literally called an initial consultation, how in the hell was it not understood that this was not a recurring appointment schedule? Co-pay is $50 with my insurance, as it is a "specialist", which is a rather steep weekly bill for bad service from administration and I guess 70 years of experience but also maybe dementia, Alzheimer's, world-weariness and the resultant apathy on the therapist's part. No online presence whatsoever, as in, not even a Facebook, and definitely not a website with clinician bios, scheduling, reviews, contact info. Seriously just a group of people getting paid enough money to live comfortably for the past 30+ years, so why spend any effort or investment upgrading anything about their service? Appears to take state insurance, so that combined with recommendations generated from school counselors (which is how we came here), they're obviously just coasting off all the $150-a-visit teens whose desperate parents are beholden to them because they're the only place around who takes Medicaid/state insurance. read more

My experience here in seeing Dr. Paul Gordon on a referral from my primary doctor was very good, except for the long wait. I found the staff to be professional and friendly. Dr. Gordon gave me his full attention and a lot of his time, and I felt he was genuinely interested in me and my treatment, and in presenting me with excellent options. I would recommend him to a friend or relative, and would happily see him again if I needed to. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Gordon for approximately 15 years and find him to be an excellent physician, very knowledgeable, and compassionate. There are both psychotherapists and psychiatrists at this facility. As with any other psychiatric health care center, the psychiatrist (Dr. Gordon) specializes in psychiatric medications, he is not there to listen to all of your woes. You need a psychotherapist for that,which they also provide. Know that Dr.Gordon is well deserving of 5 stars. read more

This place is run down, and the receptionist told me that because I had been in the hospital for a behavioral health problem that the doctor, who is a Psychiatrist, did not want to see me. What a joke. read more

My son and I were attending weekly sessions at this Goshen office from July 2017 through June 2018, so far. The reception, billing and appointment staff have been professional and courteous to us and all the clients I saw coming and going. The therapists and doctors appear professional as well. If I had a complaint I would tell the person involved there and expect cooperation. read more

I've been a patient a while on and off, and I don't agree that the staff or therapists are a problem- as they say, the issues at any place start at the top. I was there 9/19 for elevated stress and anxiety and had the misfortune to run into the owner of the facility Diane Greenwald. What she basically did was publicly berate one of the nice staff members who simply greeted me and welcomed me back. After this she looked at me and ordered me out of the office telling me literally "MOVE ON" in front of the entire staff. Apparently staff there are discouraged from speaking to patients at all and treating them humanely. See all the reviews online saying the same. Even still, as a professional, she should have known to wait until I left to correct her staff privately, and not for the whole office to witness- let alone treat me like that. How could anyone else in that office be kind, or give personalized service to patients (aka customers) if the person financially benefitting is out of touch to the point she thinks nothing to verbally abuse staff and patients publicly? This was like experiencing a bully- with her knowing her staff cant defend themselves, and what is a shaken up patient going to do? If you can't trust the OWNER of a metal heath facility to provide a safe office environment and be considerate of the conditions that bring people there in the first place, who can you trust? I plan to use social media and write to every medical board and oversight committee that I can to bring light to this. There are a lot of people out there afraid to go for help and this person is contributing to that while benefiting financially from it. No one should be treated like this, but especially someone in a temporary vulnerable medical state that is seeking help. Everyone has a boss, including her. She treated me and viewed me as weak, and promotes people in her office to dehumanize and not even speak to patients- but I am no weakling, and she will learn that soon. read more
