Stopped in to watch Arkansas/ A&M game during a recent trip to Northwest Arkansas. Food was great. The wings are awesome. I also enjoyed the Papa Joe sandwich. One star is stretching it! We ordered Gumbo that was far from being Gumbo. Just a lot of rice with a few pieces of meat added. A half rack of ribs was more like a 3rd of a rack and was black on the top and dry to boot, the BBQ sauce was thin and not to our liking. One concession was that the fries that were well seasoned, the slaw was almost disgusting. We love ribs and the Boars Nest is at the very bottom of the Totem Pole!!!!!! Our waitress was excellent very knowledgeable and was honest and told us the brisket did not turn out as moist as they had hoped that day and advised us to try a different meat. So I tried the pulled pork quasadillia and with the exception of picking off jalapeños (my fault I forgot to tell her to leave them off) this was the best quasadillia I've had in ages. The service wasn't bad but the floor was sticky. I got the big ol' bayou burger and it definitely was not worth $10 it was one of the most bland burgers I've had and it came on a very crisp hoagie bun which was weird... Had the Redfish. Don't get it. VERY dry and there is a VERY unappetizing looking side dish down the center of the plate that looks like vomit. It tasted good but I was very hesitant to try it. Awesome gumbo made from scratch, wings, good brisket and tasty potato salad. Lively atmosphere for Friday evening.

Loved the chicken wings. Very unique flavor without breading and not covered up in sauce. And the potato salad was different too. It was creamy with a lot of potato flavor. Nice relaxing place to chill. read more

Terribly slow service. We waited awhile before our waitress noticed we were there. Once she did come over and take our drink order it was even a longer wait to get a coke and a water. After about 15 minutes with no drinks we decided to leave. Went there for dinner, the bartender said "sit where you'd like". This was the only person who spoke to me. After waiting for 10 minutes, I left. No waiter/waitress ever came to my table, no menu, no drink order, nothing. It makes sense why the place was practically empty. read more

Well it start about 2 months ago i was running late for pool league and decide just to eat here because i never had before. I order a double bacon chesseburger fry and a drink. At the end of the night i got my ticket and the have me chage either 13 or 14 just for the burger and had it ranged up as a burger i didn't even ordered so we i questioned it the waiter got mad so i ask to speak to a manager well when the manager came over i explained to her. She replies no thst how we ring up all are burger. First i dont recalling all u burger costing the much on u menu. well after about 10 minute argurment i paid my and my friend food cost me over 32 for 2 people to eat. wow really. Fast foward to a couple weeks a go we are the for 8 ball playoffs. The team we are play decided to start laughing at one at lower rank players on the team im on and she turned around and said that not nice to laugh at me im only a 2. Well the guy end u having words with her husband. Well at the end night turning in paper work for league and stuff and i walk out side and the two guys who had words in the bar are arguing out side. well i walk out the and try to get tgem to leave and here comes bouncer chad he finals get them to shut up and depart from places business. as one the guys on team stwrt walking away tbe bouncer chad start running is mouth and the guy keep walking to not keep anything going. Well friday i get email from my league operator i am band from the place of business because i didnt agree with over priced food and help try to stop a argument. i have contact john the owner of the bar and finally he return my call and said he have talk to his manager and see what going on. Now im band from apa and not really any other leagues around here i want to play. tap gone and napa is cash. so before u order food make sure u pocket are deep. also dont say anything about prices they might band u. have great night. read more

The costumer service is poor! I was in there a few days ago and I ordered a drink and food. I was sitting down waiting for my food and drink when I noticed the waiter was trying to waive me down so that I could go to the bar and get my drink and he did the same once my food was ready. He couldn't walk over to my table to deliver my food. And to top it off my food was cold and the pulled pork did not looked cooked! I used to love going there and now I will never go back. read more

The service was horrible and the staff was rude. We had to get up to ask for refills, silverware and the correct food. This is after we waited 20 minutes with empty cups and our waitress walked by us 3 times. When my husband went up to the bar to ask for refills our waitress looked at him and walked away. The bartender helps us more than our waitress did. I ordered a side Cesar salad and it came out with ranch, the food was over salted and they never brought out the bbq sauce. Severely disappointing...we order a lot of to go food at work & wanted to try this place...MISTAKE! 3 of us got the Big Willy & they forgot half the components...queso & shredded cheese. The 2 tamales were tiny & dried out. They don't even use real Frito Lay Fritos! No plans to eat here in the future even w/ the "kid's eat free all the time", I'd rather pay double for my daughter to eat somewhere else. read more

If zero was an option, this review would be a zero. I keep trying to like Boar's best because it's convenient...but the reality is Boar's Nest is literally the worst sports bar in NWA. If you can even get one of the staff to not be a jerk for 2 seconds and do their job, you end up wishing you would have walked out. The food is disgusting, the service is worse and that leaves nothing worth staying for. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to JJs or somewhere else, this place is not worth your time. read more

I was skeptical because of the mixed reviews but my friend happened upon this place a few weeks ago and raved about it. We went for happy hour but stayed for a long time. Their happy hour lasts until 8pm and they have $2 well drinks!!! Seriously a good deal and great drinks!! Their nachos with pork were absolutely to DIE FOR. Their sauces are all great especially the bbq ranch one. We stayed for hours, drank quite a bit, and ended up sharing the nachos, an order of fried pickles, and onion rings between several of us. It was all good and my tab was UNBELIEVABLY small considering I had several vodka tonics! Oh and we did a $10 margarita pitcher that was DELICIOUS, not just bottles sour mix for sure. The only downfall is the service was pretty terrible. Our waitress hardly left from behind the actual bar to come check on her tables we had to get up multiple times to get her or go to bar to order and she even sent drinks over to our table by handing them to my friend as she was walking out of the restroom instead of bringing our drinks to the table herself. So again, service was definitely not great BUT the happy hour deal was amazing and food and drinks were delicious. Will become a regular place to go!! read more

So my first trip to this place and I first walking in I really liked the atmosphere but I stood at the door for awhile before anyone even said anything to me. Once I was seated the waitress was pretty prompt. Don't remember her name but she was very sweet. She was very good about keeping up with the drinks. Now the food on the other hand, I was so not impressed. I'm Italian and anyone who knows Italians, we love food and flavor. And this food had no flavor at all. I had the pulled pork with mac n cheese and okra. The pulled pork and mac n cheese were so bland and my okra, which I like a little crispy, was way way beyond crispy. To just go in and relax and have a beer I would go back but never will I eat the food again. read more
