It's brewed in a copper cup and heated by using scalding hot sand. Seriously. They have an electric sandbox machine used to boil the coffee, replicating the traditional Turkish method of brewing coffee from hundreds of years ago. I like the original Turkish Coffee and taking it black. The coffee is so smooth that you don't need milk, and in my opinion you really should experience the full aromatic flavors of the Turkish coffee without the milk covering it up. You get a little butterscotch on the side too. More than just a coffee shop, Endless Noise is a testament to human ingenuity and the creative spirit. Tucked away in what I (for lack of better words) call Santa Monica's "warehouse district," Endless Noise began as strictly a recording studio- and a damn good one too. The owner used to serve Turkish coffee to his clients. One day, he decided to start selling vinyl records to the community. Then, he started offering his Turkish coffee as well. Why not? I've been trying to grab a coffee here for two years, but I always made the mistake of coming on the weekends when they were closed. I don't know why I decided to try again today of all days, on a Monday afternoon. But as I approached the store and saw their door open for the first time, I felt like I was stepping into a dream and taking a break from reality for a bit. Lots of knick knacks and many can be categorized as vintage (like the vinyl records that most people born after the year 2000 might not know that these exist) Affordability is questionable but it depends on what you're looking for. It's not priced like the 99 cent store, which no longer exist, of course. Great find either way. I love browsing. Street parking available & there's a public parking structure next block over. There are records, cassette tapes, dining ware, toys, pottery and anything you can think of. Just when I thought I was done touring the store, there was more! Amazing customer service from Sean and Sally! Prices are fair and the selection is endless! I found 5 vintage 1973 Pepsi Looney Toons cups! It was nostalgic and cute! I also got a red hand blown glass vase! There was so much more I wanted to get. On another visit for sure!

Without fail, the duo of whomever is on the schedule to work the desk/register is: preoccupied, disinterested, dismissive and almost comically rude. You can easily spend a couple hours in here. Victorian china and silverware? Check. Scandinavian ceramics? Check. Southeast Asian statues? Check. This is a place where it really pays to look carefully. There jewelry collection is pretty substantial and has a wide variety of pieces. I had one find that blew me away: an Ancient Roman bronze belt buckle that had been turned into a pendant. Circa 100 CE. Pretty sure it was the oldest thing in the building, but I can't be absolutely sure. The employees were delightful to talk to and were very helpful on getting prices and showing me things in display cases. I got into a long conversation with an art historian over the aforementioned belt buckle. Prices range. I bought a pair of beautiful pillows for under 35 dollars. But there are some pieces here that are either so rare, unusual or simply intrinsically valuable that they are going to be an investment. This is by no means a thrift-store. Will definitely return.
