By far the cutest vintage shop in Venice. Unique items, all displayed very well. The owner was also very sweet and incredibly helpful!

I was in Venice beach with my wife and we came across this antique shop…read more We were greeted right off the bat by an employee that made our visit extremely enjoyable by her charm and great personality. I was looking for an old belt buckle to go with an old belt I bought a while back. she pointed me to there buckles and what they had. Moments later, A nice gentlemen came out, greeted us. I saw behind the register on a shelf an old buckle that looked like a hammer from a distance but was an old tobacco pipe belt buckle he found from the 60s or early 70s that was a one of a kind piece and still actually worked and made of Solid brass. We talked and they didn't have what I was actually looking for but he didn't hesitate to open up a box of old items they had just sitting behind the counter and offer me a look. I happened to see one I could use and inquired on the price, he said it was on the house! I couldn't believe it, I insisted to pay and asked again, what would you take for this? He said again, it's on the house, just enjoy it! I had to come on here and rate his store a 10/10 for my experience. You just don't run into people that are kind hearted and want to make someone's day. Now, every time I wear this buckle I'll think of this store, the kind owner and his friendly employee. When I'm Venice, I'll always stop and give my business to Animal House Antiques and Consignment . Maybe I'll be lucky enough to bless someone else like he did.

Tons of pieces, vintage as they say. The selection of clothes and shoes were excellent. One of a kind pieces, gems, as well as tons of accessories. The layout was great as it made it easy to find items. Everywhere you look there's something for the eye.

Very curated vintage store with a strong focus on quality. The selection feels carefully chosen,…read morewith great fabrics and unique pieces, it's easy to get lost browsing through everything. The layout is well done and makes shopping enjoyable, even though the space isn't huge. You can tell a lot of effort goes into sourcing these items, likely from flea markets, antique shops, and various vintage spots, all brought together in one place. That said, there is definitely an overpriced feel throughout the store. It's somewhat expected given the curation and the Venice location, but still noticeable. Service was great -- very friendly and welcoming. They had no issue with us coming in with two small dogs, and we were able to take our time and enjoy the experience. Parking in the area is not easy. You might find some free street parking in nearby residential streets, but close to the store it's quite difficult. That said, the whole area is worth a visit. It's very unique to Los Angeles, and whether you're a local or a tourist, there's so much to see around, from the beach to all the quirky shops and stalls along the promenade.

When I returned the today, they let me try the shirt on again and I decided to buy it. I was then told the shirt was actually $325. When I mentioned it had been $225 the day before, the owner said she wasn't even sure she wanted to sell it and ultimately refused to sell it to me saying "I'm just not sure I want to part with it." This was especially odd since the day before we had a pleasant conversation and she seemed perfectly willing to sell it. I'm not sure why I was allowed to try something on TWICE if there was no intention of selling it. Very strange and unprofessional experience. What a waste of time. My daughter lives across the street and she and her friends frequently shop here, but none of us will be returning. What weirdos.
