I recently ran into a problem where my Marvel wine fridge generated an error code and the local repair company identified the cause as a bad relay board. Unfortunately, this particular part was no longer being manufactured and I could also not locate a replacement anywhere (I looked long and hard as the alternative was replacing an expensive unit). I was fortunate to find Board Busterz through a Google Search and I spoke with Tony about having him troubleshoot and hopefully repair the board. He came through in a big way, identifying/replacing a couple of defective parts and sending me the board back (less than a week from shipping it out to receiving it back in the mail). I then called the local service company to have the board re-installed in the wine fridge and everything was back to normal (no more error codes)! To all South Florida Resident s there is a man his name Tony Sakal, saved me the cost of buying a new refrigerator. I have Kitchenaid refrigerator and it was making clicking noise (the compressor turning on & off frequently) I called a repairman and he told me the control board is the problem and to fix it, it will cost $650. In the mean time I found the cost of buying a new refrigerator is $1,100. I was lucky enough to find Tony, which I gave him the board for 20 minutes and charged me $100 with one year warranty. When my Maytag electric range's oven started to act up I called Tony upon the recommendation of a review I read online. He first repaired my oven control board but that did not fix the problem. We then figured it was worth changing out the oven temperature sensor to see what would happen. The new temperature sensor and the new relays Tony had replaced on my oven control board were both needed to get my old oven back on the road again. I am very grateful to have found Tony. He patiently stayed with me the entire process and went out of his way to help me figure out what was going on. My oven was a difficult case which involved 2 faulty components so it took a while to figure out. AWESOME service from Board Busterz in repairing the main control board (original part #2307028, replacement part #W102109463) on my 2006 Whirlpool Gold side by side refrigerator (model# GC5SHEXNS03). Found Board Busterz online. Even though Tony can repair in one day, due to the shipping time to West Palm Beach and back the refrigerator would have needed to be shut down for several days if board shipped for repair. Preferring not to have to relocate the food for very long (learned later that dry ice also an option to keep food cold to accommodate the ship time) and since Tony was just a several hours drive away and the length of time the refrigerator was beeping was rapidly increasing, indicating a deteriorating situation, Tony offered to receive the board in person the next morning and he repaired in less than 30 minutes. We reinstalled the board once home and beeping had disappeared. Would highly recommend Board Busterz due to the quality of service, flexibility for same day repair, very reasonable price, and 1 year warranty! Here's the background in case someone has a similar problem. I was hearing an occasional beep/chirp from the main control board located inside the back of the refrigerator (left side). Online research in forums revealed a history of issues with this circuit board found in refrigerators sold by Whirlpool, KitchenAid and other brands. People had reported that accompanying the beeping there were various symptoms (sometimes multiple) involving the condenser fan, evaporator fan, inside control panel lights flashing, etc. I also learned that the board was discontinued several years back and only refurbished boards are available as direct replacements. In my specific case, along with the beep I could hear a component struggling to start briefly and then the component began working and the beep disappeared. At first it was just a couple of beeps but after unplugging the refrigerator to clean the coils the beeps lasted 30 seconds at powerup and the next time for a couple of minutes. Based on the location of the sound emanating from the back of the freezer and the results of the diagnostics run while the board was beeping, I was pretty sure that the evaporator fan was the component that was struggling to start up. (Note: Diagnostic procedures can usually be found buried within the front grille of the refrigerator or if not there then online). While the board was beeping, the temperature control lights inside the refrigerator were also flashing and throwing some weird numbers. After contacting Tony to discuss the issue and options for repair, I felt confident that he was experienced with this board. He did advise me in advance that if the microprocessor was the faulty part (usually not the case) there was only one circumstance in which it could be fixed and if that did not apply then the board could not be repaired as a new microprocessor cannot be purchased (refurbished boards being sold online have their original microprocessors). However, the microprocessor on our board checked out as good and the components that needed to be replaced were readily available. Tony also suggested that I acquire a refrigerator surge protector with a timer mechanism (delays restart for several minutes after power problem detected) from eBay or Amazon to help minimize future issues with the circuit boards in this unit. read more

My Kitchenaid refrigerator died. Called the repairman and learned my control board needed replacing to the tune of over $750! Apparently, a tsunami a few years back destroyed the manufacturer in Japan that made these replacement boards, so the only solutions available was to (1) buy a new refrigerator, (2) purchase a completely different board from Kitchenaid/Whirldpool and have all the wiring and harnesses replaced in the refrigerator along with the new board or (3) have the current board refurbished. Found a company on Ebay that did option 3 and had the board fixed, or so I thought. The relays and capacitor were replaced but the refrigerator still had the same symptoms after the repair. Did some research and found that in addition to the relays and capacitor needing replacing, the microprocessor was bad. No one could fix the microprocessor or so I thought until I found Board Busterz! Ironically, I also found them on Ebay. I gave Tony a call and described exactly what the refrigerator was doing and he knew immediately what the problem was. I shipped the board from CA to FL and exactly four (4) days later, I had the board back in my possession. EXTREME RECORD TURN AROUND TIME!! I installed the control board and the refrigerator started up almost immediately. I waited a few of days to write this review because I wanted to make sure it was working properly and it's functioning like a brand new refrigerator. I am amazed that Tony worked on an already "worked" on control board and got it to function so beautifully and saved me almost $600! If you have a Kitchenaid/Whirlpool or any refrigerator board for that matter, and have been told that it can't be repaired...Tony is your guy! This control board problem is a know issue for Whirlpool and it would behoove them to get in touch with Board Busterz! I can't sing the praises of Tony enough!!!! Thank you, thank you!!! read more
