JT Appliance Repair is the appliance company that saved Thanksgiving! I am feeling so grateful and compelled to write about this compassionate and very efficient company. We have been working with other appliance companies for over a year to get my Viking oven and cooktop repaired. It is a very long and complicated story but I found JT Appliance on a Google search, which I would really have loved to have seen a year ago. Tony, the owner, was kind enough to pull over, look at his schedule and put me in the book that week. Once he diagnosed, the parts were ordered that day and the repair happened shortly thereafter. There were bumps in the road which were Viking's fault but were handled by JT Appliance in a "time is of the essence" manner and it further contributed to the character of the company and Tony. They are all about diagnosing and finding solutions. Thank you to JT Appliance but specifically, Tony. I wish I could have them as a full time appliance company on retainer! I made an appointment to have my dishwasher looked at and repaired ,they came 4 days after I called them which is fine because they were busy ,,they came on time ,but then the results is what I wasn't pleased with, the tech came and diagnosed a defective drain pump,so a new one was installed ,so that evening I used the dishwasher and the same issue I had previously still co tinued ,,in the meantime I did some research and my son thought the drain hose was too long and so we removed 3 feet of hose ,and so far the appliance has been running good as of this review. ,I asked for a partial refund or at least a credit towards future repairs and I was told they would not do anything ,why should I pay for a job that didn't correct the problem read more

Timely service. My washing machine needed to be replaced. JT Appliance gave me an honest assessment and suggestion as to where I could buy a replacement. They could have told me I needed additional service from them. However, they did the right thing. Very reliable firm. read more

We called Mike tonight to request an appointment to repair our dryer. Mike gave my husband some advice on how he could fix the issue before they came out. When my husband got off the phone he told me, "wow, I can really appreciate that honesty!" He tried the advice Mike gave him and it worked!! My Bosch washing machine stopped working last night and I called JT Apppliance. I spoke to JT who told me that he could schedule me for the today at the time I needed. BEWARE this company will blatantly rip you off. I called them to service my Refrigerator. The showed up and manually defrosted my freezer with a heat gun, then told me that I needed a whole new defrost system. Here is the letter I wrote to them after they ripped me off. I even had to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. **Transcript of Business Letter** December 12, 2011 Tony (mobile: 954-729-7320) JT Appliance, Inc. Tony- I called JT Appliance and scheduled a repairman to come to my house to troubleshoot and repair my Frigidaire refrigerator. On Wednesday June 22, 2011, you came out to my house, troubleshot, and manually defrosted my refrigerator. Upon completion of troubleshooting, you informed me that I needed the entire defrost system replaced. The Defrost System (Control Board, Heating Element, Evaporator Coil). Defrost System - $389.00 Labor - $49.50 Tax - $26.31 Total - $464.81 Based on the fact that you are a professional, and that professionals should correctly diagnose problems, I paid you $464.81, for a new defrost system. You told me that you would be back in several days with the parts to repair my refrigerator. You also informed me that the manual-defrost that you performed, would only last a couple of days, before my fridge would stop cooling again. On Friday June 24, 2011, a few days later my refrigerator was still operating properly, cooling, etc. I called you, to let you know the good news. You said it was to be "short-lived" and it would "definitely" stop working within a few more days. Again it never failed! Upon our last conversation you asked I call you the middle of the following week "when" it stopped working. Since that final conversation it has been in operation flawlessly, if I may say so. Based on our conversation Tuesday June 28, 2011, and upon letting you know it was "fixed" and working properly, you stated that you would completely refund me the $464.81 minus the service call fee of $59.99, I agreed without cause for concern. As per this conversation, I was to be refunded $404.82 as by the words of your mouth. You did also state to me that if my fridge stopped working after this that you would have to charge me another service call fee, this was agreed mutually. Based on my records, and your perceived honesty we both parted happy with our results. I expected to be billed as to what was orally contracted and logically expected, no parts were installed, I paid your service fee. You were expecting an imminent failure therefore you also expected to be contracted a second and separate time for the repair of the perceived defect, again which never happen. Friday July 1, 2011 - I called you, and informed you that my fridge was still working properly, and that I would like my refund of $404.82. You told me that it would be refunded to my credit card. Monday August 29, 2011 - I checked my credit card statement, to see if the credit of $404.82 had been applied yet, it had not. I called you to inquire about the refund that was not issued. You apologized and said that you'd been on vacation in Arizona, and had simply forgot to do it. You said that you would promptly take care of it. October 10, 2011 - I still had not received the refund yet. I called and left a voicemail for you. You did not return my call. October 18, 2011 - I left another voicemail for you. You did not return my call. October 18, 2011 - I left a message with Denise (office manager). You did not return my call. October 24, 2011 - I left another voicemail for you. You did not return my call. October 26, 2011 - I left a message with Denise (office manager) for you. You did not return my call November 10, 2011 - I left another voicemail for you. You did not return my call. I have also sent you 5 text messages, requesting that you give me a call (10/18, 10/19, 10/24, 11/4, 12/5) November 18, 2011, Denise called me and told me that she was willing to refund me half of the $464.81. I made it known that these terms were, by any stretch, unacceptable. I explained, since you're a trained technician who troubleshot my refrigerator incorrectly, in no way, and especially holding what is by law, a sincere and valid contract, was I to pay anymore then the initial service call fee that remedied the problem. I'm an honest person and happy to pay for a repair if those parts WERE needed and WERE installed, but they WERE NOT. I hope in writing these points (and my records of correspondence) clarify the problem to a "T" and there are not further issues, as logically there never should have been in the first place. Regardless of what was "perceived" that my appliance needed, the technician simply misdiagnosed the problem and that concern IS NOT with me, it is with your company and your technicians. As of December 12, 2011, I still do not have a refund of $404.82. I want the charge of $404.82 refunded within in seven days of receipt of this letter. read more

JT solved our problem with our 23 year old Sub Zero freezer/refrigerator. Tony is very knowledgeable and understands appliance repairs. JT kept coming back until our problem was solved. I called the company to come out and repair a functioning dryer that was not heating. He explained his $79 service charge policy (if i got the repair done the same day, then the $79 would be absorbed into the repair) and i agreed. He proceed to diagnose and told me it was the door assembly and it would cost $249 plux tax. I told him to go ahead and repair. He completed the repair, i signed paperwork, paid and he left. I proceeded to put my 1st load in the washer, then the dryer. It ran for over 30 min and still not heat. I called him back no answer. I texted him and still no answer. I called him the following day and his son answered and proceded to tell me that the repair was done and they have done their job. After arguing for 30 min that it was still not drying and he told me he would come back out Monday. They never showed. I called them again and they said he was going home, but would stop by. He opened the dryer and within literally 5 min had the broken heating element out. I asked why he did not repair while out on the first time and was told they fixed had fixed the problem and i had signed off. After arguing again and being called crazy, my husband had to step in paid them another $30 to complete the repair and leave. Needless to say this is not an experience that went well and would definitely would not recommend or hire these people again. Please be aware. read more

My central A/C died late Friday. I diagnosed the problem myself (dead run capacitor) and proceeded to find someone willing to sell me the part after hours. I didn't want to sleep without AC. Nobody was willing to sell me a part. Everyone wanted to either charge me a huge diagnosis fee or worse wanted me to sign a service contract. I finally found JT Appliance Repair. No stars for this one. Used them few years back. Said he was authorized to do sub zero repairs. Told me I needed parts for my freezer, total cost about $3000. Gave him a deposit, cancelled appt next day as freezer started to work. Did not get my deposit back. Filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau. No help from them. Office manager Denise is a total b-----. Stay away from this company. read more

These People made me wait 2 days and then did not show up ! I had a simple garbage disposal and refrigerator repair. I had 3 other companies wanting to come out but JT promised and then did not show up ! I would NEVER recommend this company for anything. They came and fixed my laundry machine for 700 dollars, after I used it once it broke again and when I called them, they wanted to charge another $90 for a service charge. When Tony showed up, he claimed the pump was broken which was the barn new one they replaced before. After I showed him the old pump that replaced, he backtracked and told me the main control was broken. Now as I said we paid $700 for a previous fix. Should get a Zero Star Rating. He came to repair an ice maker and a Viking grill. First the ice maker, misdiagnosed the issue and started guessing. Told me to replace the unit first then said i changed out 1400$ in parts and do some permanent damage to the interior we could fix the evaporator coil. I declined and told him to add service ports and evacuate freon and recharge. Fixed the blockage in the evaporator cool 600$ later but still no ice. Then he came back and started checking for power from the board and said your board is bad replace it. It was bad and I did replace it still no ice. From the beginning this fridge was unrepirable from the electrical side of things, of which he didn't check on the first visit when you tried to get mento replace it and keep the 95$ service fee to tell me to replace it. Then on to Viking grill. He came and gave me a written estimate of 2178$ of which I Paid 1089$ deposit. 11/3/15 he came once with half the parts which did not fix the igniter module problem. Told me on the next visit he would get it right. Waited over 2 months of it will be here this week or next week. January 4th he said parts came in I told him don't worry about it I ordered the parts myself for 600$ cheaper than he wanted for the same two parts. Had the parts installed myself in two days. Replaced all the parts he quoted /grill igniter system still broken. Now he only installed 380$ in parts and I was willing to give him an extra 95$ for service call and still won't refund the $585.85 he owes us back. He has now blocked my number and hung up on me. Won't return texts. Would never do business with MR. Tony again. read more
