Jalapeños were missing in the baja chicken and I added sprouts in the chicken club which was also missing. First time at Board and Brew for me. The sandwich was tasty enough but way to fat to bite. I had to eat angled from the top or bottom of the sandwich and use a lot of napkins. I didn't appreciate the bread being cold, like it was just taken out of the fridge. The other person I ate with said his bread was also refrigerator cold. We had a turkado and a turkey deluxe. They tasted good but very hard and messy to eat. Jersey Mikes and Subway use room temperature bread, not cold bread that doesn't distract from the flavors inside the sandwich. Maybe it was cold because they opened at 10:30am and we got there at 11:00 so it didn't have time loose it's chill. I may go back again sometime but ask them to not put so much on the sandwich. I frequent Board & Brew and this location is RIDICULOUS. I ordered a sandwich today online, picked it up and got home with a completely wrong sandwich. The ticket had what I ordered on it and they completely screwed up my almost $17 sandwich. I called the store to let them know and possibly get a refund or gift card for another time. The manager Hailey proceeded to tell me that per the owners policy I had to bring the sandwich back for a refund or for a new sandwich to be made, I explained I was already home and live 20 minutes away. She informed me that I could bring the wrong sandwich back another day instead of today. What the??! That is laughable. What kind of policy is that? I ordered a $17 sandwich and the ticket on the bag was correct. The California Delight sandwich I received didn't have bacon on it, wasn't toasted, had onions on (not a part of this sandwich) and also had a different kind of cheese in addition to the cream cheese. I will never give this location my business again, unfortunate becuase I and my family of 6 dine here whenever in the area. An absurd policy that apparently has no flexibility regardless of THEIR mistake. I hope the owner sees this. read more

We gave them a try due to getting the bogo coupon for opening weekend, but wasn't given credit on receipt after showing. So one star removed for this. Ordered chicken Caesar salad, Italian, turkey deluxe and potato salad. The salad had lots of chicken and cheese, but the dressing wasn't very good. The baguette bread tasted good, but ratio to meat was an issue for us. The Italian sandwich all I could taste was turkey and was hoping to taste the other meats as well. Potato salad was good. I had a Turkado here a month ago and it was very good and the sandwich was ready about 3 minutes after I ordered. Today, I ordered a Turkado and the bread was old and stale and I ordered no onions but it had an onion aftertaste and I waited about 10 minutes as it sat on the counter for at least 5 mins before one of the staff members noticed it. No one was ahead of me so it shouldn't have taken so long. read more

Disappointed. The young man working the register was very busy. He had multiple families in line waiting to order and serving beers at the same time. There were 4 to go orders on the shelf behind him. I asked the young girl working if she could grab my order. My name was written on it. There was no one else waiting for their to go order. She simply said "no" and told me to stand next to the pickup sign at the front of the store. It would have taken her 2 seconds to grab my order. I always leave a tip when ordering. Tonight's customer service is why I probably won't again and why other people have stopped. Good customer service can really be so simple. My husband and I joined a couple of friends and we all had different sandwiches, which we all enjoyed. The service was nice and our sandwiches came out fast and with a smile. The restaurant was nice and clean and tvs had on the Padres game so it was perfect. I highly recommend this shop for great sandwiches and environment. The environment is very aesthetically pleasing. The are very friendly. The food is made fresh. I had the turkey avacado. The sourdough bread was soft and so good. Had lunch from here today. Ordered the Tom's choice. Roast beef and turkey breast on a French baguette. Comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and that amazing sweet and sour dressing. Up until this evening, I have been a loyal Board and Brew customer since I first tried them 2 years ago. That will no longer be the case after my experience at the Santee Board and Brew this evening. After driving 30 minutes and working a 12-hour day on Wednesday March 29th, I was so looking forward to ordering a Grilled Turkado Sandwich for takeout (not dine in). Even though I arrived a few minutes before 8pm (their posted closing time), the female manger on duty shouted "WE'RE CLOSED!". Again even though I entered before 8pm, she asserted the grill was already turned off and they were closed. Realizing I was actually there before closing hours the manager on duty decided to offer a cold sandwich instead of her initial claim of being closed. I explained it was before 8pm when I entered, why would they have already shut off the grill? She then snapped at me with a raised voice and yelled at me in front of other employees and customers "OK YOU CAN HAVE A COLD SANDWICH OR NOTHING!!!". It was because of this manager's poor attitude (even more so than the Santee Board and Brew closing before their posted hours) that I will never return to Board and Brew again. As a customer I figure between my wife and I, we spend an average of $40-$50 a month at Board and Brew, easily over $500 annually. Board and Brew will no longer see any of our business resulting in a loss of thousands of dollars all because of this manager's negligent attitude. Not to mention the other people through friends, family, and social media that will hear of my experience. read more

She had an issue with the person I came to her establishment with and she try to include me with it when you try to give her constructive criticism she has an attitude she's very unfit to be a manager she needs to go through sensitivity training, don't get me wrong. We thought we'd give it a second shot and hoped for a better experience. Food wasn't bad. I'm not overly impressed with the menu choices but they are sufficient. The portions are large and the meat/produce are very fresh. I'd give it more stars if it wasn't for the place itself. The staff are more interested in socializing with one another than actually taking care of the customers. The store was filthy and people were having to clean tables themselves so that they had a place to sit and eat. They for sure aren't up to the same standards as the other locations. read more

I tried to contact the company through their website, but I did not receive any response. I ordered two sandwiches and chips through my phone. When I went to pick them up, two employees were chatting (I was the only customer in the building). After a few seconds, the young man acknowledged me, and asked if he could help. I gave my name, and he looked on the shelf and said my order was not quite ready. He went to the back and continued his conversation with the other employee while bagging up an order. He then walked to me and handed me the bag. I took it home and discovered it wasn't my order. I grabbed the bag and headed back to the store. I called on the way and spoke to the young man who helped me and told him what happened. He hesitated for a second, and then asked if I was coming back. I said yes, and I wanted to make sure my order was still there. He quickly said yes. I returned the food and got my order. My complaint isn't about making mistakes--they happen. My complaint is about customer service, lack of training and lack of experienced supervision. For customer service, the place was not busy at all. I was the only customer in the lobby. The employee had plenty of time to cross-check my order. When I called back, the employee was quick to say my order was still there which means at some point he realized his mistake, but didn't call (my number was on the bag). He did say he was sorry. For lack of training, the employee should have been told to cross-check orders. I think that after I alerted them to the problem, they should have re-made our food. I had a hot sandwich that was cold and a little mushy after the extra half-hour wait. Probably should have thrown in the wrong order they gave me too since there is no way you should serve food to someone else after it's left your business (I would not have taken it). Having some experienced supervision may have saved everyone some trouble. Anyway, we still like your food, and we will probably order again, but I'm a two-strike kind of consumer. read more

I am an AVID and consistent B&B customer, I have ordered food from both Carlsbad locations somewhere in the vicinity of 100+ times. I have had two experiences now with the Santee location, both poor. Drive in movies opening day Thor Love and Thunder, I ordered 3 kids meals, 2 sandwiches and a salad. There were ZERO sauces... no dressing or utensils for the salad and one of the sandwiches did not get the avocado I paid for. Just today, I ordered a simple, salad, chips and a sandwich through door dash. I called them seeing there was no sodas on door dash and was told they can't have me buy drinks aside from water on door dash. No problem I said, I'll pay for two drinks over the phone and they can hand those drinks to door dash. "We can't do that" - period the end not possible for me to buy drinks from an establishment I just spent $50 on a salad and sandwich.... 0 for 2 Santee, I recommend GRINDER SUBS AND ANTONELLI'S hands down if you are in Santee or El Cajon, go there not board and brew. You can see I rarely post or yelp, only when things are extreme one way or the other. Love the Carlsbad and Del Mar locations, Santee needs to figure it out. Just received my lunch order, 1 special sauce. Great - I will NEVER order from here again and will keep me patronage only in Del Mar and Carlsbad.. B&B management needs to get their arms around Santee or it will kill any positive references for their name in east county. read more
