She explained everything as she was doing it & I could see in the mirror as well, which was fascinating to me. We took 4 inches off my length & she layered my hair as well & did foils with a darker blonde & my hair came out so beautiful! She dried & styled it for me & I am so happy with the end result! I'll be back to see her again before I go to Las Vegas at the end of May! The vibe in her salon is always upbeat & positive & she makes the client feel right at home! I HIGHLY recommend her services!!!

A bachelorette party spa afternoon brought me to this quaint little spa-salon on Mill Avenue…read more Situated conveniently right off of Mill Avenue, you could also miss this little house that has convenient parking behind itself. You have to drive past Subway and past Subway's parking lot and turn right into a small alleyway to access the parking to this spa. This spa had a Portland vibe to it, since it's located in a little house. It's very welcoming and "warm" feeling on the inside. Our spa bachelorette spa party consisted of at least 10 girls so it was slightly difficult to accomodate us all getting pedicures and manicures at the same time. There weren't as many chairs available so some of us were persuaded to try some of their other services, one of which included massages. The massage room was very tranquil, and had two massage beds next to each other. The massage therapists were very professional. However, this was the first massage I've ever had at a salon so the experience was very new to me. The girl that worked on me was very friendly and takes her job very seriously. She explained how it's important to keep breathing, and every time she reached a "knot" somewhere, she told me to take even deeper breaths. She explained how it's important to stay well hydrated and explained that I might even feel sore the next day. I really had no idea there was so much involved with getting a relaxing massage but I am grateful for her thorough and communicative time with me. I'm usually not in Tempe, but I would definitely recommend getting a massage here. My sister in law received a manicure, but it seemd slightly rushed and her nails only turned out "okay." She thought that she could have done a similar job painting her own nails at home and wished that a massage came with the manicure as well, so one could see how she was disappointed in her experience. I guess most places even with the $20-30 manicures, the manicurists typically gives somewhat of a hand massage in the process. I don't get them often though, so I felt bad that my sister in law's experience wasn't as nice as mine.

I went to get my hair done balayage style in January 2020. And Amanda who is the (Julie )the owners daughter did my hair I got Leary when I asked her how many years of experienced she has and it was less 5. And she mentioned how she didn't like doing it. Well she messed up my hair. I had the biggest line of my normal color and bleach in my hair. Not even close to balayage. I was so dissatisfied. I remember the feeling of just wanting to get out of there because it took her 6 hours to mess up my hair. I cried when I got into car. I messaged Julie the next day telling them they need to fix my hair and they had no one else but Amanda . I refused to let her touch my hair again. Please trust the review. Julie talked down on her past stylist saying they didn't even have the right experience for a balayage and I stood up for them. Cuz they did a phenomenal job on my hair! Amanda doesn't have experience . I seen the other review how she ruined someone else's hair before I went and I wish I seen that before going.. I hope this helps! Don't go to them. I also appreciated that Kelly came over to offer pointers and support--she seems like such a great mentor, and the teamwork between her and the stylists really stood out. Another huge plus was the price! My haircut didn't cost an arm and a leg like other places I looked at. It was extremely reasonable.
