Always greeted with a smile They do the dry cleaning and laundry on site, so the turn-around time is quick; usually the same day for laundry and dry cleaning is about 2 days. Great service. Been using them for almost 10 years. The only issue is that they're not open Sundays and it's cash only. I could write a check, but who does that anymore? They should accept alternate forms of payment. I think they'd increase business. They work pretty hard and are efficient. They're also very accommodating. I delayed getting laundry done after relocating from the West side because nothing in the area here had amazing reviews--luckily I have weeks and weeks worth of clothes and towels! I gave Bo Bo a try because it's around the corner from me, and after having them do three loads of laundry I can say I trust them and don't want to bother trying other places. I have a soft spot for the woman that's usually there at night; she's a total sweetheart, and after an exhausting day at work I kind of look forward to a quick chat with my laundry-mom. I usually pay around $13 for about 7 or 8 days of laundry, including 6 towels or so. My last place used to have a two day turnaround, but if I drop my bag off here at 7am they always tell me I can pick it up the same time the next day. The fact that they close at 7 doesn't really bother me since I live so close, nor does their cash only policy, because my bank is the next block down. read more

Super nice people working here, very friendly and personable buutt ive lost items, received someone else's items (many times), gotten multiple holes in my clothes, had shirts come back with the pits still smelly, and the last straw was I got a shirt back that STILL had tissue paper grains on it from when I tried to rub out a spot. I like Bo Bo Cleaners because it reminds me of growing up in NYC. There is usually a person with an ironing board in the center of the long, narrow room behind the counter & they greet you with a smile as you walk through the door. There is an old desk from maybe the 1940s that is crammed with papers just behind the ironing station that is jammed with papers & laundry tickets. Very old school. For me to clean tops it's $5 & dresses are $6. I had an old coat that needed the zipper replaced & they did a good job. You wouldn't even know that I had it repaired. I did do a load of laundry with them & found that it did come back smelling funky. I wouldn't do it again. But I am pleased with the dry cleaning & sewing. They are a local family business & very friendly & eager to please. I recommend giving them a try if you're in Yorkville. read more

This is a family business (I can remember seeing Li's young son eating his lunch in the shop. I'm sure he is in college now) and they provide very personalized service. Dry cleanings are nice and people who work there are nice. They always lose something from my dropoff-pickup laundry. They lost my sheets before and lost my sports legging a week ago. I needed to buy my new sheets and leggings again which cost more than $100. I told them they lost my items but they just told me that they will keep their eye on lost items. read more

Owner gave me other people's socks and towel on separate occasions. The laundry also doesn't smell fresh or that it has been through the washer with soap... They lost 4 of my shirts, 2 pillow cases, and 1 towel. Additionally, they refused to take any responsibility saying that she is very careful, but apparently not... Sure maybe they dont accept credit cards, but this place is great. First off the lady who runs it is very sweet. Secondly, I have given them my laundry at 7 am and asked for it in a rush and they have given it back by noon. The cost is reasonable, on the lower side of the spectrum. But I have had more issues with this cleaner than any others in my 1 block area. In the past 30 visits of so, they lost my silk tank, destroyed a zipper for my dress (something to do with using too high temperature during dry cleaning according to another drycleaner), and a NEW stain on my jacket that did not exist when I dropped it off. As they say, you get what you pay for. The lady there is friendly, but I think this is going to be my 'last resort' cleaner. read more

Ruined my $400 comforter and blamed me! This place was absolutely the worst service I have ever received in New York City in 10 years of living here. I sent out a bag of laundry, and a bag of sheets and my comforter. They were supposed to deliver it back, but 15 minutes before closing I still hadn't heard from them so I just walked over. The woman at the desk showed me my comforter and it was completely ruined...she had put it through the washer and dryer despite the tag on it with huge letters reading DRY CLEAN ONLY. She said it was not her fault, and that it must have gotten ruined because I must have sprayed something on it before giving it to them...and that she never looks at tags on things, that isn't her job. She never apologized, even after I told her it was a wedding gift and explained how frustrating the whole situation was. She even charged me the $23 for the laundry. Appalling. I have never written a negative Yelp review in my life, but I was so upset and shocked out how poorly this place is run I felt compelled to do it this time. DO NOT bring ANYTHING of value into this establishment,, and don't expect good, common sense customer service. read more
