When I first got there and explained what was going on with my transmission, he immediately offered to go with me on a test drive so he can checkout the issues for himself. After doing so, he did a full diagnostics on the vehicle to see what codes would appear on his diagnostic machine, in order to eliminate any guess work. I definitely appreciate the professionalism and the straightforward answers he would give me when I had questions. I can tell that unlike other establishments in the area, that he wasn't trying to swindle or get additional funds out of me. He was able to offer me a competitive price for the work that would need to be done as well as the parts. Everything that he told me was definitely more than reasonable and I agreed to have the work done. They were able to give me a ride to Avis for a rental for a few days while they got the work done on my car. I've never been to an establishment that was so courteous before, but it was definitely a breath of fresh air with all the stress that I was dealing with at the time. When I got my vehicle back in a few days, it was in great condition. Alix also offered to have me come back after 200 miles or so just to check and make sure everything was on the up and up which I definitely appreciated. It became obvious that they wanted our car for next to nothing so they good slap a rebuilt transmission in and flip for a big profit . Jeff was referred by a local shop . He did a free dx and offered a brand new transmission , fully installed and a 3 year guarantee for 1,000 less . He explained that our model and year of car was notorious for bad transmissions and he had replaced many . He installed a new transmission and fully calibrated it . He did a great job and was a pleasure to work with . The dealer , imo isn't the place to go with this problem . They automatically add 1,000 $ to the price and are out to get your car for cheap and convince you to buy another car from them . Jeff has been there for years and knows transmissions .

Where do I start.... First I was told my car would be done…read morein 2 days..7 days later I finally get a call that my car is ready. I was told that multiple parts that they bought were bad. There was a major lack of communication until I started calling them to check on my car after 3 days. In the midst of my car being at their shop, it was driven from Coral Springs to lake worth and back without my knowledge until after the fact. Who ever drove my car ran over a screw and punctured my brand new tire. I got an alert through my Ford app that my front driver side tire is low. Called and told Jeff this and he said it must be a bad sensor... As for not having my car for a week, they offered me to get a rental car but this is out of my way so I didn't get one and saved them the money for that. So I finally get the call to come and get my car. I get there at 9:15, and I have to be out of there as quickly as possible due to a Dr appt at 10am. I get there and went to pay with my AMEX and was THEN told they didn't take Amex. Mind you I told Jeff that I would be paying with a credit card the very day I dropped my car off. That caused another whole issue with my bank. I also dropped my car off with a half tank of gas. I got my car back with only 45 miles left to E. I mentioned that to him while I was waiting to get done and he said sarcastically they could put gas in it. Once I finally get that settled and get my keys, I get into my car and it smells like the inside of a transmission shop. I try to drive off and see the Low tire pressure alert is on. I check my tire and immediately see the screw inside of it. IJeff comes out and asked me what's wrong at this point. I remind him that someone at the shop ran over a screw. His first reaction was to say they aren't liable for tires. Then he tells me to go next door and get it plugged. By now it's approximately 9:50 to get to a 10am Dr appointment. I should have been able to walk in and walk out with my keys. My tire should have been fixed before I got there and gas should have been put back in my car. Piss poor communication, horrible customer service. I only hope the work is better than the customer service. Mind you I didn't tell them I needed my car immediately as soon as it was done. So they had plenty of time to make those things right before I picked it up. As a fellow business owner I would be appalled if someone had gone through this at my company.

I contacted Groupon and they said that don't know about this. I don't like to be scammed. I understand if I was being charged for the oil disposal which should not be more than $15. I would not go back here.

After using this place for years for maintenance I brought my vehicle in May 2025 to address a…read morebasic engine misfire, They did a standard coil and spark plug replacement. A week later, my check engine light came on. I returned they said they fixed it. Two weeks later AGAIN I returned and the shop said they identified a coolant leak but never fully explained the issue or its risks. Without informing me, they injected a stop leak additive into the engine. This was never mentioned before. They told me to sell my car when it's working ok. I ultimately had to take my car to a certified Honda dealership, who confirmed that the stop leak had spread through the entire engine system and caused over $7,000 in damage, making the car unsafe to drive. I was forced to sell my car because repairing it was no longer worth the cost. Despite providing documentation and attempting to resolve the matter professionally including sending diagnosis reports the shop denied responsibility and blamed "pre-existing conditions," which were never mentioned or documented before their repairs as they serviced my car for years. They also admitted to not having me sign any invoice before applying the additive, only creating one after the fact.

My husband's Nissan Leaf was experiencing AC issues and we were quoted an astronomical amount of money by the dealership to fix a what we thought was a small repair. Majority, if not all all of the non-dealership repair shops refused to work on a full EV's as they do not have the required qualifications. Reece from Vertical was super nice and very reassuring on my first phone call that they not only have the certification with the experience to do so. It was very easy to bring in and drop it off our vehicle. All of the staff we encountered was very friendly. They took about 2 to 3 days to diagnose the issue. It turns out that there really wasn't an issue to begin with, even though the dealership was convinced we had some sort of line leak. They ran a test that the dealership didn't even offer us to run. And determined that the AC was working normally it just needed a little bit of time to warm up ironically. Upon picking up my vehicle, the mechanic that worked on it actually recommended that we get the windows tinted, which would help with the AC since it's been so hot. He said that EV's run a little differently than gas vehicles when it comes to the AC. They even offered for us to bring the vehicle back if we were experiencing the same issue again. Overall, I highly recommend Vertical Auto. They are conveniently located on Oakland Park Boulevard and I-95. I will definitely be returning to them for our future mechanic related needs.

I was quoted $150 less than all of the others and the service was great. I was so pleased with the service, I returned the next week to replace my tires. Again, the quotes matched my budget. This shop is busy; the type of place you know by word-of-mouth. All of the employees were super helpful.
