Honest and kind. (Yes, this is a review for a transmission repair facility.) I was on my way to my ophthalmologist for an eyeball emergency when my car decided to make my life just that much more exciting, literally breaking down in front of "Dynamic Transmission Center" ("DTC"). I took it as a sign, pulled in, found an open parking spot, and pretty much threw my keys at the guy at the office desk (who turned out to be "Art"), explaining I was worried about my eye and could I just leave the car. Unfortunately, the eye required a retinal specialist which required leaving my car in limbo overnight. DTC was very understanding, and pressured me in no way, allowing me to leave the vehicle. The next day, figuring it probably was the transmission (and a sign from the universe or Santa Claus that my car called it quits in front of a transmission facility), I agreed to the "$150 to diagnose" (which would be applied to reduce the total bill if it was the transmission and work was done) and acknowledged that DTC only did transmission work -- nothing else. That afternoon DTC called back with "good news" and "bad news" leaving out, initially, what I deem the "headline news." The good news? Not the transmission. Bad news: likely radiator issue (which it turned out to be). The headline news? DTC waived the $150 and declined to accept any payment whatsoever. They also went the extra millionth mile by leaving the diagnostic report and making coordination with having the vehicle towed a breeze. Class act all the way. My transmission was locked in safe mode. Manny took his time and found that my Ecu/Pcm had failed. My suv is older so parts are an issue. Long story/short, I was able to get used part from Ebay however I needed key programming. I did have to go to a computer specialist to get keys working. Now I am back on road and Manny is the best. He is thoughtful and technical with great trouble shooting skills He charges a fair price and does quality work. I've lived in S. Florida for over 30 years and finding an honest mechanic is like finding a purple unicorn. I found one this week. My previous mechanic told me the noise coming from the front of the car was an issue with the transmission and would cost between $3000-$4000. I brought my car to Art at Dynamic Transmission Center, who diagnosed it as a bad front axel. Long story short, I got my car back for only $390,when I was ready to pay a whole lot more. It is rare in South Florida to find a shop that is as honest as these folks. The owner (Manny) is truly an incredible guy. I have been to his shop 3 times in the last 2 years. I first brought my Ford Excursion that had a trans that was overheating. I am originally from Chicago and I found it hard to find honest places to service my vehicles. This please is truly A+. Had a transmission problem in my F-150. Went to one mechanic who said it would be a $3k fix, another said it would be $2500, I had the boys at dynamic take a look and they gave me a price of $600 which was a lot better. Went to pick it up and they said they were able to being the price down even more to only $330. These guys know what they're doing and their customer service is great, very nice to their customers in explaining everything. They are a rip off!!! Stay away!!!! I fixed my transmission here a year ago and it has been giving me problems since I picked up my car, I had warranty on the job. The car would not drive so I took it back and they told me it was another problem and that my warranty would not cover the job!!! I spent 2,423 bucks on my transmission. I spoke with Mark on the phone about some tranny issues with my Hyundai...I met friendly, smiling Mark at the shop and we spoke about the issues with my 2012 Sonata...he immediately said that I should still be under powertrain warranty with Hyundai...I forgot about that and he checked with a local Hyundai dealer and verified that I was still under the warranty!!!...his honesty literally turned away business...this type of honestly probably carries over to his business practices and I would highly recommend this shop...I will be here with my other cars and will definitely pass his info to my friends...honesty and integrity are sorely lacking in this industry so it's nice to see that it does exist!!!...glad I called and met you Mark!!!... read more

The worst transmission repair business ever. I was overcharged for work that was not done. They had my car for weeks and still did nothing.

I own a 2000 Chevy Malibu with no previous issues. Car started having transmission issues, went to a few mechanics. First mechanic was a mechanic who I have used for 2 years, who sent me to a transmission place, they gave me a price without even taking out the transmission, strange. Another mechanic told me that he believed the issue to be my motor mounts,(in reality it was actually only PART of the problem).My mothers friend suggested a mechanic, I called them up and they referred me to Dynamic Transmission Center. I called them up, let them know what was going on and they told me to bring the car in. I brought the car in when they first opened up in the morning and they told me they would call the next day. They called me and told me that they found the issue, as well as exactly how much it would cost and how long. I told them to go ahead and start. The next day they called me and told me that one of my motor mounts was severely damaged(I NEVER even mentioned to them that I was having a rough rebound effect when I accelerated), as well as a damaged sway bar(Again, I never told them that I was having small issues with my sway bar). They told me that since they already took out the engine and had the car lifted, they could replace the parts and only charge me for the amount of parts(I looked up the price of the parts, and was delighted to see that they charged me EXACTLY what they were priced at an autostore.) The day came when I stopped by to get my car. First thing I noticed, the car was accelerating more easily and I had ZERO feedback. I have already been back to them a few times and I can honestly say that the mechanics there do an amazing and honest job. I cannot stress enough how well they work, they talk to you politely and treat you with respect. When they finish their diagnosis on a car, they bring you over and explain to you in DETAIL as to what the problem was, how much it will cost to fix, as well as work with your schedule. The only person I have actually spoken and worked with is Manny( The Manager). Trust me, as far as support, cleanliness, respect, price, and honesty go, This place CANNOT be beat in honesty, reliability,and price.
