They lied to me about replacing my brand-new battery, only to find out they swapped it for an old, used one. The very next day, my car broke down and I had to bring it back after spending $2000 on repairs. My car was kept in their shop for almost two months, and after calling every day, I was given excuse after excuse. When I finally got my car back, I found out that they had broken my window and didn't even bother to tell me about it. After reading several reviews, I can now confirm that Lou is unprofessional, and the mechanics are rude and dishonest. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. If you've had similar issues, I suggest reporting them to the BBB.

They told me certain things would be done and they were not. Communication became terrible and the work did not match what was promised. It honestly felt like they just tell you what you want to hear to get your business. Be careful bringing your vehicle here. It is a consistent pattern. My husband arranged for my truck's transmission to be replaced here at 954 transmission, and from start to finish, this place was a nightmare. This review I will start off by saying is from the date 3/31/2026 - when you get to the bottom, I'm gonna give you where we're at today which is 5/30/2026 First, the location is very difficult to find. The address they provide does not clearly lead you to the shop. There is signage in the back, but it is busted up and barely visible, honestly holding on by a prayer. Even the owner admitted it has been through a lot from the wind, so do not expect clear directions or a proper storefront. When I called for help, the person who answered did not greet me professionally or even identify the business. Instead, they answered like it was a personal call and immediately asked, "Who is this?" which was already a red flag. When I explained I was a customer trying to locate the shop, I was told to walk around the building in the heat. After doing that, I ended up at an open garage with no office, no clear signage, and no one there to assist customers. When I called back the second time, I said, "Hi, I can't find this building," and that is when he got real nasty and said, "Ma'am, what do you need?" in a tone as if I had no reason to be looking for the building where my own truck was. From there, things only got worse. The person on the phone became impatient, rude, and extremely condescending. Instead of helping, he kept saying things like, "Thank you for finally telling me what you are calling for" in a sarcastic tone. He talked over me, cut me off, and made the entire situation more difficult than it needed to be. When I tried to simply get directions to the office, he became loud and argumentative. At one point, I added my husband to the call so he could hear how I was being treated. The man laughed, called me crazy, and continued raising his voice. By the end of the conversation, I was so frustrated that I said "F U" and hung up the phone. For me to be pushed out of character like that is saying a lot. The entire interaction was so bizarre it honestly felt like he might have been drinking or something. That is how unprofessional and erratic the behavior was. To make matters worse, another employee later confirmed that the person speaking to me this way was either owner/manager. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how this business is run. Everything I am saying, you can scroll down and see for yourself in other one star reviews. It is a consistent theme. These guys become very aggressive when they do not like what you are saying or your tone. And when I say aggressive, I mean very aggressive. Please take the time to read those reviews. Also notice how petty they get in their responses.! THEY ARE SHOWING YOU WHO THEY ARE! I'm just mad we didn't read it before we came here. Transmission problems! I had several people recommendations me to Paul's Transmission for work and…read morethus I used their services twice. I had a 2019 Ford Transient Connect and then brought in my Nephews 2007 Dodge 3500. Dale, the owner and his Son treated me like a long lost friend and are real square shooters and gave honest advice in regard to my equipment. I'm an Aircraft technician for a major airline and former Fireman / truck maintainer so I have a good idea what's going on! Dale was beyond fair with me and saved me Thousands in repairs With good advice to his detriment. Example, He could have fixed my Ford Transient Connect costing thousands but advised me "the transmission overall a defective design, I should get rid of it and sell it as is. " I traded it to car dealer and a year latter I received notice from Ford regarding it's transmission replacement.  I saw the review below involving the guy with the 1975 Eldorado and asked Dale about it. As an aircraft mechanic for 42 years, I can tell you as a technician we are not perfect all the time and sometimes things go wrong. Even the owner of the 1975 Eldorado admited it "Serious mistake but things happen". To me, It's how you recover from your mistakes that count! After speaking in depth with Dale about the issue and the video and photographic evidence he presented me, I feel Dale went above and beyond to remedy his mistake and fairly assuage a unsatisfied customer. However, as a Technician I have found in Life there are people you just can't make happy or they want things for free. I now have a friend and Transmission go to guy! Stopped by and the owner Kenny greeted me and I let him know I was there for an oil change and for my front brakes. It was a GREAT experience. It was not an all day process. Kenny was kind. He explained to me the service and I was happy to know my car will be fine. After the service, I definitely felt the difference. And now my parents car are running even better than before Idk how my parents conned me to running their errands while I'm visiting them but everything happens for a reason. My parents now have a trusted mechanic and a car with new brakes and an oil change. It also didn't cost me an arm and a leg nor did I feel like I was being taken advantage of as a female.
