Horrible dealership . I have got three new cars from them which they do not support. BMWis not what is used to be

Absolutely enjoyed my experience here! Sales rep, Stanley, and finance adviser, Andy made what's typically a stressful event into a fun and memorable experience. There were no excess frills and up-selling tactics. Not once did I feel pressured to purchase something beyond my means. When I purchased my certified pre-owned, they offered to do some paint touch-ups. Service adviser, Jason was courteous and prompt in getting me scheduled for an appointment. He also took it upon himself to swap the key fob batteries without additional charge. It may not seem like much for some, but it meant one less thing for me to tackle, and I appreciate his efforts for that. read more

Service failed AGAIN! My 2011 BMW X5 was brought there due to an accident and BMW Seattle replaced the rack and pinion and right front suspension. Three weeks later while driving northbound on I-5, I heard a loud crack, then clunk, then grinding. Immediately pull over on the shoulder, as smoke started billowing from my hood and looking back you can see oil all over the freeway. The engine then shut itself off in a safe mode. Towing the car back to my mechanic - found out two things... 1st was there was a power steering hose flailing around in the engine bay (reminder BMW Seattle replaced rack and pinion). 2nd was that the front drive line on the car had snapped and threw itself around busting a hole in my oil pan. Calling BMW Seattle multiple times attempting to get a hold of the service department is harder than winning a radio contest as they seem to ALWAYS be busy and despite leaving messages you don't get a call back. I then call BMW Bellevue to speak with their service department which I'm able to connect to right away and I find out there was a recall on the drive line as well as my VANOS system - TWO recalls that BMW Seattle neglected to tell me about resulting in serious damage to my vehicle also causing me to miss all my plans over the weekend because of not having to deal with this mess. Unacceptable and unprofessional. I will now make the extra commute to BMW of Fife or BMW of Bellevue just to avoid BMW of Seattle at all costs. As I will NOT let this happen to me a 3rd time. p.s. if you disregard this message and take your car there anyways... REVIEW YOUR BILL. Last year when I had a 2008 BMW X5 it was brought there for service and they some how managed to add an additional 2.7 hours of labor on there and claimed it was a "mistake" they ended up refunding the difference to me but had I not noticed that was an additional $300+ of charges that didn't need to be there. read more

I've had a bmw for a long time. Have been going to them long before this new location. This location is obviously bigger but the quality of the service department has gone down. Upon arrival, it took a bit before I was acknowledged by a staff/receptionist. Mind you they weren't even busy. This time I came in for a quick check and the receptionist said I needed an appointment. I was not asking for service or maintenance by was told I still needed an appointment. At the old location I never had a problem when i had a question or concern. Good thing about this location is that it's fancier, nicer waiting room with a nice coffee machine & tea area, fridge full of soda & apples. Wifi available read more

Last year, we worked with Benson to find a car for my parents. He was amazing to work with! When we wanted to upgrade our own car this year, I knew we had to go back to Benson if we wanted a stress-free buying process. He helped us place a custom build order for an X3, but with all of the shortages going on, we were unhappy with the cost to get all of the features we wanted PLUS the added worry that at any moment BMW could cut out more features while the car is in the build process. When a used 2021 X3 became available which had most of the features we wanted, Benson gave me a call to see if we would be interested in purchasing that instead. I'm so grateful he thought of us! He was also able to get us a good deal for our trade in! I'd recommend Benson to anyone looking for a BMW. He's patient, responsive, and puts a lot of effort into keeping you happy. read more

Review is for their BMW Service. Went for scheduled maintenance. The initial check in process was smooth. The complimentary shuttle service was quick and efficient. When we returned we were told by the person who made us sign the papers at the reception that our car was ready (we could see it in the parking lot). However, we were made to wait for 30 mins at the cashier/reception. When we enquired we were told it will take few more mins as they were washing the car (lol, again, the car was just outside the door in the parking lot). After a while the cashier gave us the keys and told us that our car was ready now. All the while it was just sitting in the parking lot! It was clearly a misunderstanding or miscommunication on their part but we were not even offered an apology. We expected better customer service from a place that had 20+ salesmen/customer service reps. read more

I was very excited to try this place as it had gotten some positive reviews from people. Seems like most places including bmw bellevue do the sales tactics/BS games that makes them hard to deal with. Unfortunately while this guys aren't as sales/numbers driven as bellevue, they are barely a notch up. 0 - Communication: I dropped the car off and was told before by the lady over the phone what the estimate would be for the water leak test. She was very articulate and seemed to be typing a lot of notes as she was listening so the advisor would know. She gave me a couple of ranges. When I talked to the rep himself a few days later (he had no idea what I was quoted and even went on to say that he did't see any notes... I explained everything over the phone, then the message isn't ever relied back to the rep? Then the rep tells me a different number from when i scheduled the appt, after my car is there? Not a big deal as it wasn't significant... If that wasn't bad enough, I was suppose to see a rep on Wed at 5. I even went out of my way to cancel my patient and be there at 5 at their request. Didn't happen. They just grabbed my car without ever talking to me (until e-mai later or). What made the situation even worse was when i needed my car back. Because two of the advisors were on seperate times meant I had to a to deal with finding a rental just because the 2 reps didn't communicate and didn't get back to me on the time frame I was promised. One advisor works some days and his jobs are transferred over to others who have no idea what's going on and don't call back. I really wanted to like BMW of Seattle but boy these guys need some training on how one staff tells the other what's going on. Very frustrated with the way they handled all of this. Felt more like them trying to make $$$ and adding as much as repairs to the client rather than a job needing to be repaired. Initial red flag should've gone up when I turned my car in and the front desk told me "they'll check for x, y, z and no representative is available"...x, y, z were things I had never requested. Very disappointed. While I can't speak about BMW portland's service center, I can say that anyone looking at buying a bmw needs to contact bmw portland over bmw of Bellevue or Seattle. I bought my car from them, custom 5 years ago and dealt with all the BMWs in WA. Portland was the best price point without ripping you off with sales like negotiations. Easily worth the drive and I value my hourly time immensely read more

The staff at BMW Seattle were friendly and welcoming, I recommend going and seeing Kalvin!

Still haven't gotten a follow up call about the license plates from the car. It was Joy's job to follow up and we have heard nothing. Yet again, another example of extremely poor customer service by her. I had to follow up and found out they had the plates already. This dealership is a joke! read more

**This review is for car sales through the European Delivery channel only; I haven't dealt with the service department (yet) as of the date of this review. Bottom Line - I had a fine experience car-buying and was referred to Karl Enemark by a friend. Buying a car is never a "fun" thing to do, but my experience went pretty smoothly overall (did most of it via email). Earlier in 2014, I was deciding between an Audi A3 sedan and the BMW 228i. I previously had an Audi A4 for 8 years, and it was time for something new. I wanted to stay with Audi because, partly, I had been so pleased with University Audi's service department. Reading BMW Seattle's service department reviews really scared me. However, the difference is the product, and after driving the A3 sedan and 228i back-to-back, it was the product that made the difference. I did not test drive at BMW Seattle; however, on a friend's recommendation of Karl, I sent him an email. I was set on doing the European Delivery program, since I was already planning to go through Munich in the autumn. You can read more about European Delivery by googling it. Anyone looking to buy a car should definitely research everything from the car to the price others have received (carbuyer, forums). In the end, the information below was my European Delivery Program 2015 BMW 228i build (the MSRP and Invoice pricing can be found on a combination of BMW's and Edmund's websites): ***DISCLAIMER*** My transaction pricing is based on European Delivery for a vehicle that did not come out of the dealer's monthly allocation. I am pretty sure that I would not have been able to negotiate a similar deal for a car already on the lot or if I ordered one from their allocation. The dealer also told me that they no longer receive a 2% kickback on European Delivery cars, so the deal I got may no longer be feasible. You should definitely shop around. US MSRP ED Invoice 228i Base..................$32,100............$29,530 Metallic Paint....................550....................500 M Sport...........................3,000.................2,730 Cold Weather Pkg.........700.....................635 Driver Assist Pkg.............950.....................865 Lighting Pkg.....................900.....................820 Premium Pkg................4,050..................3,685 Tech Pkg.......................2,150..................1,955 Anti-Theft..........................400.....................365 Auto High Beams............250.....................230 Destination.......................950.....................950 SUBTOTAL...............$46,000.............$40,250 My negotiated price was $375 over European Delivery invoice, and I ended up paying $40,625 before sales tax, title/licensing, a $75 dealer documentation fee and a manufacturer $500 promotional credit. In total, I saved approximately 12.8% off US MSRP. My deal was finalized in August 2014. Note on shopping around for European Delivery - In the end, I just decided to go with BMW Seattle based on convenience and a referral from a friend even though it was not the lowest offer. I had also shopped around at 2 other dealers, and also David Aviles of Steve Thomas BMW in Southern California... David does a lot of European Delivery internet sales to bimmer enthusiasts around the country, and he gives a no-haggle, no-negotiation price, which was actually very competitive. Do your homework regardless of where you purchase your vehicle. European Delivery Experience - It was awesome; I would totally do it again! The only downside is that it takes about 2 months for re-delivery. read more

On Jan 2022 I was in a low impact collision with my BMW X3 and took the car to BMW Seattle service center for check-up. Andrew Mossart was my service advisor. He informed me that a radiator blind was found cracked and needs replacing. I left the car with them for the fix (and filed my insurance claim). A week later i reached out for an update and was told the car went to a garage - Metro. 2 more weeks later i reached out and Andrew said "you have to coordinate with Metro. It is not my responsibility to update you for a car which isn't in our dealership". Though I thoroughly disagree with that statement, I did not want to get into an argument and reached out to Metro and got my car back. In November 2022 I took the car back to BMW Seattle for routine servicing and was told my radiator blinds are broken and needs to be replaced. This was surprising since that's what was fixed in Jan. I asked the new advisor (Brandon Shaw) to look up the details of the repair and he informed me that there are no records of ANY repairs on my car. I showed Brandon texts from Andrew and my insurance claim payout after which he investigated and confirmed that though the car did go to Metro for repairs, Andrew never provided repair instructions and so the garage simply painted a scuff on the bumper and sent it back. My car had to be resent for the necessary repairs and my insurance made to pay for the unnecessary paint job in January. Once I managed the process, the repairs took 1 day. Andrew's absolutely horrendous customer service and lack of basic professionalism cost me a month without my car, for a one day job and has cost BMW Seattle a customer and an advocate. read more

I just purchased 4th BMW from this dealership. First two from Marty, who is now retired and the last two from Benson Yim. As a matter of fact, I bought a Mercedes from Benson when he used to work there so it was my 3rd car purchase from Benson. Benson is someone you can trust. I know it is hard to find these days but he is. He knows cars of your interest inside and out. Always seeks your best interest even if it may reduce his commission. He understands this business is all about retaining loyal customers. Ask for Andy Chau, the financing guy as well. He will make the process fast and easy going. I have no idea what the bitter Yelp reviewers are talking about with their bad reviews. I had the most amazing experience at this dealership this week! Bought a cheaper used car but was treated like a luxury customer. Thank you Zach for working so hard to get my car ready and insure everything was just perfect. Thank you Benson for finalizing the deal and being so kind. Thank you Kalvin for clearly being such an excellent manager. And thank you Rachel for being so kind and making the paper work process so easy! I just purchased a used 2011 Toyota Highlander. Zach was so amazing and let me see the car before it was even detailed. He then went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect and was so patient when I needed a couple days to finalize funds. When we found a spot of damage they hadn't noticed, they did a whole other safety inspection to make sure the car would never have issues for me. They also kept apologizing for not noticing that spot of damage as if they were somehow inconveniencing me for making sure my car was super safe! When I came to get the car Zach had the day off and Benson took over and was so kind and helpful. They gave me a great deal on a cheaper car but treated me like I was buying the most expensive BMW. (Side note: be sure to take them up on their offer for coffee and use their yummy espresso machine). Will for sure come to them for any car needs in the future. Beyond impressed. read more

I've been a fan of the BMW Seattle service Dept. for years and it was the first place I looked when it was time to upgrade. If you're a car enthusiast, or just want to deal with an informed and honest salesman who truly loves what he does, I'd recommend Charles Schaefer at the BMW Seattle dealership. If you want an amazing experience that continues beyond the sale, stick with this dealership. Charles took me on test drives where he highlighted the car's handling characteristics to best advantage, which made me fall in love. He was incredibly knowledgeable, i felt I knew all about the car after the Charles Schaefer ultimate driving experience :) Afterwards he worked with me to hit a payment profile I wanted, and helped me make an informed decision on which car to buy for my situation. I loved his honesty. He watched out for me rather than a profit margin. I drove away a happy customer for life. My amazing experience with BMW Seattle didn't end with Charles. Blake in finance called me the next day to tell me he found a way to save me more on my purchase! This after the sale was done! I am blown away. For my service experience, I always go with Derek Logan. Courteous, well informed, professional, and always accommodating when I need a loaner.t read more

BMW Seattle - An ecstatic customer after a deal made with Charles Schaefer - the salesman for men who like cars :) - Car Dealers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I had a very positive experience at the dealership this past weekend. I went in with a friend to look at a used Volkswagen, but I spent quite a bit of time sitting in a variety of vehicles, and honestly just having fun shopping. I never felt pressured or any expectation that I would purchase the vehicle or any vehicle that day. This led me to feel very comfortable in the space, and very easy to return later that same day to look at the car one last time. Ian Schnack, my salesman, was easy to talk to, and I felt like I was just speaking to a friend about my wants and dreams about cars. I did not feel he was trying to use any information I gave him to try and make me feel one way or another. He let the car speak for itself and was really good at answering questions whenever I did have them. I am very happy with my wonderful new (to me) GTI and can't wait to go back when it's time for me to get a new primary car. read more

Once you get an appointment here the staff is wonderful and takes care of you, but getting an appointment is one of the most challenging things ever. It takes several days at a minimum to get a response to email requests to schedule an appointment and no one ever answers their phone. Unacceptable for BMW level status of care. read more

Service Department Review I always have good things to say for Seattle BMW. This morning the new gal at service desk was not talking the Seattle BMW language. No smile with stone face. "We asked that you waited here for your car." Learn how to speak professionally and show some appreciation to your customer. Service department is one of your bread and butter area at BMW. I can't say enough about this dealership and their awesome service department! After buying my X5 in Bellevue and paying for the maintenance package, I found the service there really apathetic and incredibly disappointing for a luxury brand. After one oil change I vowed never to go back and the next time i needed service i brought the car to BMW Seattle instead. They are polite, respectful, friendly and prompt! Access is easy, the lobby and waiting areas are comfortable with plenty of amenities. The quality of service is what I expect from a luxury brand! They always look for little extras they can offer, such as wiper blades. The video walk around they send when recommending service is really helpful and inspires confidence in their recommendations. I will never go anywhere else for service! When it comes time for a new vehicle, BMW Seattle will be my first stop! read more

I've taken my hubby's 1997 Z3 out here to get it serviced a couple of times and have no complaints. The lobby area has a few booths for people to use their computers (yay for free Wifi!), spotless bathrooms, a coffee machine, and a little fridge filled with water and sodas. Since the dealership is just a couple of blocks away from Chinatown, I usually get some food at Kau Kau, bubble tea at Gossip or just shop around Uwajimaya and Kinokuniya while the car is getting serviced. Customer service has been great and the car comes back cleaner than when I first came in with it. If the hubby and I decide to get another BMW and we're still in the Puget Sound area, we'll definitely stop by here. read more

Pot hole season. I'm new to filing insurance for pot holes. Front and back wheel were dented and the front suspension was destroyed. Wanted the job done right so i brought it into BMW seattle. They outsource the work to a nearby repair shop. Trying to get info between State Farm and BMW was not to easy, got a lot of different answers. Dropped the car off for 3 weeks while i was on holiday overseas. Got a lot of great communication with Josh the service rep. He was very responsive but discussions of total cost was not really accurate. I stressed a little because BMW said the cost would be $7000 and State Farm only paid $4800. State farm said they would cover any difference with a 'supplemental form,' BMW said they aren't going to send a supplemental form because no other repairs were made. In the end i paid $1400 to get the car out of the dealership and then submitted the final bill to State Farm. State Farm then paid the difference from what they initially paid to what the final bill was. Basically everything worked out well, only reason i gave 4 stars is because there really isn't a clear communication with the insurance and BMW. I had to go back and forth between BMW and State Farm to figure out what was going on. I was told by a different service rep that they are in constant contact with insurance especially State Farm which really wasn't the case. Honesty if i did nothing and didn't even worry about anything everything would have been fine but when you are throwing out big $$$$ you tend to stress a bit. read more

I ordered a custom order vehicle with BMW Seattle and everything went very smoothly. The estimated timeline from order to delivery was almost exactly spot on (more impressive in today's supply chain constrained world than ever), and the staff went out of their way to assist with fulfilling the complex world of current EV tax credit requirements to help make it possible for me to claim the credit for my vehicle (a meaningful amount!). First of all, the salesman I met with (Karl) was impersonal and poorly mannered. He made things feel awkward and unprofessional. He constantly spoke over me, answering my questions before I even finished asking and made snide comments like "well that's just how it is" and "I've been at this a long time, I would know". When I asked why the vehicle (a 2018 Toyota Highlander) hesitated upon acceleration with a very noticeable jerky feeling, he said it was just the car shifting gears, nothing to worry about and if I paid attention I would have noticed a similar thing on my own vehicle. I have a 2007 Ford F-150 with over 150,000 miles on it and mine doesn't even do that. Later, when I attempted to explain that I was a cash buyer, already fully financed and explained my bank's procedure for purchasing a vehicle, he pretended not to understand and wrote it off, then proceeded to pressure me into financing with them. I said no and we continued with the purchase, at which point Karl became increasingly agitated and huffy. My bank required a purchase order from them and then once the papers were all signed they would overnight a check or an ACH transaction. I left thinking I had finally purchased my first car as unpleasant as the experience was. An hour later I received a call from Karl stating my bank wouldn't work with them and the only way I was going to get to purchase the car was if I filled out their financing application, and they had to remove the sold sticker, so if I wanted it, I'd better make a decision fast. I called my finance team to see what the problem was and was told that the dealership was refusing to accept a check from them because they were out of state and instead were demanding a wire transfer. There was no need for this grief because they had all of mine and my banking information upfront, but apparently this is just a game they like to play in the 7th inning to try and trick new buyers into signing with them. Needless to say I walked. This dealership is not worth it. read more

Just picked up another BMW from Karl Enemark! Folks, there is a reason I keep coming back to this dealership and its because they make the buying experience so fun! I told them what I was looking for a few days later, they called to tell me the car had arrived! One of their BMW Geniuses, Cameron took me for an no pressure test drive. I'm a huge car nut but the one thing I typically hate about cars is actually buying them. Buying a car is like going to the dentist sometimes, but I love dealing with these guys are like dealing with family. None of that hiding the ball BS that I get from other BMW dealerships in the area *cough Bellevue*. Everyone who helped me along the way, Adam Newbold, Karl Enemark, Cameron Lum were very easy to deal with and knowledgable...that matters to me as a car guy! Once there she was busy with another client but she came right over and handed me over to Blake Downing who was FANTASTIC! He got my trade in appraised and got me a great offer. Price of the new X3 was also a breeze. I've purchased a few cars and this was the most hassle free experience I've ever had. Oh I forgot to mention the X3 was still in transit to the dealership! So this was all done without even seeing the car in person. We agreed on all terms, I left my deposit and went home. 4 days later I picked up my beautiful new X3 and I could not be happier. I recently ordered and purchased a BMW 228i from BMW Seattle. To say the entire experience was terrific would be a understatement. The car itself is wonderful and has easily exceeded my expectations. However the experience at the dealership, and specifically my Client Adviser, really sealed the deal.... I worked with Karl Enemark and will be recommending him to anybody remotely interested in BMW's, and/or any of their cars in stock. Karl's passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge of cars and the BMW product line was very impressive AND refreshing. I'm a certified car fanatic and it was terrific to work with somebody like minded. However, it was clear to see that working with Karl would be ideal even for folks who may be less car-passionate than myself. He was honest, transparent, forthright, and very friendly - something we don't always find in the car buying world! The rest of the folks I interacted with at BMW Seattle were A+ as well. It's a nice, clean, well organized dealership that I'll be working with often in the future. In regards to the car deal itself, I received a very fair number on the purchase price and a decent figure for my trade-in. Great experience with the Finance department as well, and I appreciate the great % rate they found for me. Thanks again, guys - well done! read more

Recently bought a used BMW X5 from BMW Seattle. Kalvin from the Sales team worked with this was fantastic. The first time, we called ~5 min before we showed up and he had the car pulled out and ready for us to test drive. The second time, he picked me up from my home nearby to drive me to the dealership to when I went to pick up the car. Kalvin's great, and I really appreciated that there wasn't any pushy sales. We're sizing up for our growing family and didn't have a lot of time to sit around at the dealership to go back and forth on the discussions. Kalvin made the whole process super fast, and even encouraged us to take our time. Really friendly and helpful the whole time (especially when we asked questions about the service history and what to expect for upcoming service costs). And again, after the sale, I realized the included charger that came with the car was busted and wasn't charging the car. I got a response from Kalvin in less than 5 min after I texted him about the problem to offer us a replacement (with a carrying case, which the original charger didn't come with). I'd recommend seeking him out if you're planning to buy from BMW Seattle. read more

I have taken my M6 into this dealership over the last 2-3 years for a variety of services. Each time, the car has been returned with significant scratches to the exterior.
