This is in regards to the BMV on Smithfield, in Dayton, OH. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this Office. First, when I went to register my car and get my tags, I explained to the clerk that I had a change of address. Upon her trying to enter this information into the computer, she told me that the computer would not let her change my address. I then asked her what am I to do? She said that I can fill out a change of address and drop it in the outside mailbox, which I did. Shortly after that, I received a little card with the correct address in the mail. Well, there was an occasion where I NEEDED my correct address on my Drivers License. I first called the Office to let them know what I was facing. The Rep told me to talk the Deputy and explain my situation. When I went into the BMV, I also explained this to the Manager, Bill, and the clerk. Bill said that whenever a Drivers License is issued, the computer will automatically charge the patron. I then requested to speak with the Deputy. I was told she was there. I am very displeased and upset about this. Why do I have to pay for the mistake of a representative of BMV. I don't think this is fair to me. Needless to say, I was very p.o'd by the time I left there, and my picture reflects my dissatisfaction and attitude. I called the morning after and I requested again to speak to the Deputy. Bill took the call, once again he said that she was not there, again. I am not happy to have to pay for a mistake made by an employee of this office. I feel I should be able to get my money back....This is the mistake of BMV and NOT mine. What can I do? read more
