I am in and out in 5 minutes. Usually don't even need to take a number. Best service you can get at a government agency.

For a place you don't typically want to be at, this is the place to be!…read more I'm going out on a limb here and throwing out that Fifth Star that I hold so dearly and use sparingly. Let me tell you why... Having been a driver for decades, in multiple states, I have had to visit numerous DMV and/or BMV locations in the Midwest. It's never a fun process. This location has consistently been different and the best of them all. It's not the biggest location but this location has a system and a knowledgeable, and friendly, staff that knows how to keep things moving. If you have a problem with this location, believe it or not, you are probably the problem. When you walk in, there are two kiosk tablets for you to check-in at. Once you check in, you're given a number and then, depending on how full the lobby is, you will be instructed to wait outside/in your car until you receive a text or you're asked to wait in the lobby. It also gives you an approximate wait time. Once your turn gets closer and the lobby thins out a bit, you receive a text message instructing you to make your way into the lobby and wait for your number to be called. Also notice that there is a screen with the numbers that have been called out, so don't forget to keep an eye on the screens. When they call your number, you're instructed to go up to the numerically assigned counter where someone is waiting to assist you. From that point on, you're on your way. Sounds pretty simple, right? It is. So if you have any issues with these steps, it is probably you. Here are some tips to keep in mind: - Go to the Ohio BMV website and make sure you have the correct documentation necessary to complete the tasks you are looking to get done at the BMV. If you cannot find what you're looking for or you are not certain, call the location that you plan on going to and ask your question. What is a 2 minute phone call to save you from multiple trips and aggravation? - If you're asked to wait outside of the building for the text message to let you know when to come in, pay attention. Don't wander off to McDonalds, don't sit on your phone and miss the text message, and don't sit in the car blasting your music and hot boxing Marlboro's to the point of not hearing your text message notification. If you miss your turn, that is on you. - When you're in the lobby, pay attention and listen for your number. People watching at the BMV is almost always a delight. You are guaranteed to walk out with at least 3 observational stories to share with your family and friends for days to come. But while you're sitting in the lobby, a similar rule from before applies. Pay attention! Don't be sitting there with your earbuds in and zoning out only to miss your number being called. It will call multiple times but it still doesn't account for absent mindedness. - Stay off your phone while in the lobby. The rest of the people don't want to be there any more than you do. They also are trying to listen for their number. The absolute last thing they want to do is hear your garbage phone call to your friends about absolutely nothing. Take it outside. - Have your proper documentation! If you don't bring your proof of insurance, proof of address, or whatever else you'll need to get your task done, that is 100% on you, my friend. Check before you visit. - Be nice. Be nice to those around you and be nice to the staff. They are their to help and helpful they are. Would I go back? This is my number one choice location of a BMV. I'm not saying that others are worse, but I've been to at least 3 or 4 in the area. This is my go-to location. It has always been consistent for me, for the last several years. I'm hoping my Fifth Star will help boost their rating a bit and my review will encourage others to leave a positive rating and review. The BMV Team deserves it. They put up with a lot. If you want proof, look at some of the negative reviews and the tone of those reviews. These are the people that the BMV Team has to manage, every single day. So have your stuff ready to rock, pay attention and for goodness sake.....Be Nice!

This place sucks…read more 17 people sitting in the lobby. 2 of the windows are servicing customers. Sometimes 3 windows #1 is picking up more. Window #2 has been playing on her phone for at least 15 minutes. When she isn't on her phone she is listening and looking at the different customers at window #1. Idiot! Window #6 has helped three customers (ie: completed transactions and left) Window #3 has helped one person and they left at least 10 minutes ago. She is playing and talking with another employee. Who manages this place?
