After visiting two dealerships in Fort Worth this week, the first dealer told me I owed $9000 more on my 2-year-old car that has 17,000 miles, I shared my Kelly Blue Book estimate and he told me KBB don't write checks, he offered me a payment of $1183/month, of course I left. The next dealership must have thought, "hold my beer and watch this, lol." That dealership offered me a lease price of $1905/ month and bragged because he got the price down $200, so I was going to pay $1700, they told me I was $5,000 upside down. Feeling reluctant, I located the 2026 GMC Denali PU with the exact options that I was seeking. Derek was extremely professional. I told Derek exactly what I was looking for. Within an hour, Derek provided me with a ballpark figure that was exactly the same as the result I came up with on the GM Financial website; I was $500 upside down. After a 1-hour drive to the dealership, it took approximately an hour to complete the paperwork, and a monthly note below $700/mo. Without a doubt they have earned my trust in an industry that is filled with uncertainty in my opinion. When completing the paperwork, I was able to relax, as in my experience the finance manager didn't try to up-sell me on things I didn't want or need. Im 60, this will probably be the last truck I buy and I was ready to spend the money to get EXACTLY what I wanted. The truck they gave me to drive had no gas. I had to drive to the gas station so they could fill it up No offer to order what I wanted or to find what I wanted. What a joke of customer service I will take my business elsewhere. It slips when I'm accelerating, two weeks into having the car it had overheating issues and it caused me to have to get a new engine, the car was in the shop almost 4 weeks total for repairs, I didn't have a car to drive in the meantime. The car works fine for about 2 months, then it starts making loud noises and a loud roaring noise when I'm driving and backing up and turning. I take it to the shop; I get it fixed. Now, a month later it is doing more stuff, now it's literally unsafe to drive, the car literally just drops down to 0 RPM's and shuts off right in the middle of driving. I call them to tell them about it and that I need a loaner car if I' m going to put mine in the shop to get fixed because I am a single mom, I have one car in my house, I am the only one that drives, I have 3 young children that I have to get to school and back, a disabled mother that has to be able to get to doctors' appointments and such and a husband who has to go to work. I NEED the loaner car. They told me there was a waiting list, that I'd have to wait 1-2 weeks at the most. I have called every day for two weeks, since I called the first time, I have been getting nothing but the run around, they were getting the loaner car delivered to them, then they needed to get it serviced and then I could have it, every day for 5 days, that was the story, they still hadn't received the loaner car. Then they got the loaner car to get serviced, for the last 6 days it needed a part that still hasn't been delivered to the shop to be put on the car. Why is everything taking so long to do? My issue is emergent and not my fault. I have had the car 8 months and have had nothing but issues. First time I didn't even have a car to drive while it was being worked on, I was without a car for 4 weeks, now I am having to drive a car dangerously around because it's the only car I have and have no choice. I can't afford a rental car and I shouldn't have to get a rental car when they have the means to give me a loaner car and fix mine. I shouldn't have to put myself, my children, husband and elderly mother in danger to get them and myself around where we need to go. Worst car dealership I have ever had to deal with!
