I've given Blythe several chances and each time I'm disappointed. They'll push anything on you, sacrifice size to unload there inventory. And their return policy is horrible. On my last visit, that was spur of the moment, I walked in and was told I didn't have an appointment and they couldn't help me. I was surprised that I was turned away. I left wondering where it says you need an appointment. So, I decided today to call and make an appointment, I spoke to a young woman that told me they don't accept appointments between 1 and 4. She told me I was more than welcome to come in and wait, that there is always a list. I told her I was confused and explained the past incident and she told me that "she doubted that had happened, that they would never say that". I ask why would I call to make an appointment if that did't happen. I've been turned away and the staff has implied I'm a liar. I'm difficult to fit but between the "attidue" of that store, their return policy and pushy sales I will go elsewhere. So disappointing! read more

I would never recommend this store. Their customer service is awful. I purchased a pair of hanky pankys and there was a small hole on it which I didn't see until after I took the tag off and was about to put it on. They sold me a defective product and wouldn't make the situation right, I even said i would take an exchange. I've never experienced such poor customer service. Beware...their stock is limited, so if you need more than one bra they will have to special order. Special orders are not returnable which I can understand, but I ordered two expensive "nude" bras and purchased the black one I tried on. The two "nude" bras shipped to me are a deep taupe...not suitable to wear under light colored clothing. NOW I'm stuck with two expensive dark bras (when I need nude ones)!! SO BEWARE!! read more

Went in yesterday, and had a bra fitting. Was a very nice experience, the staff were very sweet and helpful. HOWEVER, the bra that I bought ended up being nearly possible to wear, sooooo painful I've considered taking it off multiple times today. While I should have questioned the fitter when she said it fit me well, I assumed that it was just different from what I was used to, and trusted she knew what she was talking about. Holy moly, was I wrong!!! I'm considering cutting bits off of it to make it even minimally comfortable. I hate to butcher such a nice bra, but it's well nigh impossible to wear as is. I would rather wear my ill fitting 2-for-$18 bras from Walmart! And of course I can't return it, as I've worn it all day. The agony! read more

I am a pretty small girl so it is usually tough to find bras that fit me. I went into this store on Monday (2 days ago) and bought 2 bras that were provided to me to try on during a fitting. They felt a bit snug but the sales person assured me that they would loosen up as I wore them and it wouldn't be a problem. I wore one the next day and around 3 hours into wearing it I literally felt like I was going to pass out! I had to take it off it hurt so bad and the wire in the middle left bruises on my breast bone. I had cut the tags off of both because I was so excited to have them and they were custom fitted to my body so I was sure they would be okay. I just tied the ribbon back together and drove back to the store (a 30 minute drive) after work to return them. When I got there I explained the situation and as soon as the sales person saw the ribbons were cut she told me that they could take them because it was a HEALTH HAZARD! I am pretty sure that a bra is not a health hazard unless they fit too tightly which can cause several health issues. Now I have spent $120 on bras I can't wear. Funny enough... a friend of mine told me today about a pair of underwear that she was talked into buying and when she got home she saw they had a hole in them. She had already cut the tags off because she too was excited about her new purchase. When she took them back the salesperson told her they couldn't take it back! She finally was able to talk them into giving her another pair that was the same. They didn't have her size so she had to buy a pair that was too big for her. Now she has a $20 pair of underwear that doesn't even fit. Seriously, what kind of business is this? I will never be back and I will be sure to tell everyone about my terrible experience. read more

I wish I had done this years ago instead of suffering through poorly fitting bras (and aching shoulders and back). I have been recommending Blythe to all my friends and anyone else who will listen. My sister was sweet enough to take me to this store as I had "outgrown" all department store cup sizes. What a difference! We've been back several times & I finally can go swimming in public after purchasing one of their custom swimsuits! The fitters were lovely & knowledgeable! I went in yesterday on a whim and am very happy with the experience. The sales team was nice and the gal who fitted me was extremely professional. She was probably 15 years younger than me and a size 2 but I was never embarrassed. She was very helpful and not pushy. Sure she's in sales so I didn't mind she brought 'extra' bras for me to try on when I was looking for a specific bra. It actually got me motivated to save up for my next purchase. Wish I could add to the glowing reviews. My experience was the opposite. Knew I was in trouble when they assigned a twig to help me. Told her I had been wearing a Bali, wide strap and no seams, which unfortunately has been discontinued. She brought me a thin strap, underwire, "just for fit." I like a sheep tried it on. Awful. Brought me another, yep, thin strap, underwire-had a third bulge up to my mouth. Repeated, no underwire, wide strap..another was brought, underwire, thin strap. I had traveled 3 1/2 hours to be treated this way. Walked out frustrated. read more

I went in yesterday for my birthday for a bra fitting. I was previously measured at other places and they told me I was a 44DDD my bras were not fitting correctly. My bras were rising up the back and breast tissue was bulging up. So i went to Blythe and got fitted and come to find out I was in wrong band and cup size I am a 38JJ. no breast bulging or anything and the girls are lifted up like they supposed to be. I was so happy I left out the store with my new bra on. I only paid $54 which is great because I been paying $35 at jcpenny for bras that only fit for a week. read more

I went in about 18 months ago to get fitted for a sports bra, and I was really happy with the results. The reason I wanted to write a review, though, was that I recently lost that sports bra and couldn't remember for the life of me what brand or style it was. I have since moved out of state and don't really have time to find another shop and get refitted. I called up Blythe, and they had my previous purchase on file, found the bra in stock (actually in a cooler color than the one I had before), and shipped it to me out of state for free! Since my actual fitted size is relatively uncommon, I've become accustomed to the higher price of bras, and it's totally worth the customer service I've gotten from Blythe! read more

Disappointed that I can't leave zero stars. I was going to call the store and see if I could speak to an owner or manager, but now that I've read the reviews I realize that would be useless. The salesperson sold me a bra that didn't fit because they didn't have my size but the style that worked for me and I thought I could make it work. I should have suspected something because the straps were missing and the girl dug through a box of loose straps to find a pair for me. The dressing room was too dark to see the bra was dirty, and I didn't pay attention to the fact that the only tag on it was the Blythe price sticker. I never wore the bra, but when I tried to return it, the same girl said it looked like I ripped the straps off and that it was worn and would not take the return. So they sold me a a used bra, defective bra in the wrong size and I'm stuck. read more

First time shopping at Blythe and probably my last. Went there because I needed help with getting the proper bra size. The sales person was nice and helpful, however, the first day I wore the bra I struggled with the stapes staying on my shoulders all day. Honestly, my old, much less expensive bras stay up without any issues so needless to say I'm disappointed. I went to the store and was told the fit was fine, it was the bra style I choose. Wider stapes sometimes do that. That piece of information would have been nice to hear before I invested almost $100. It was suggested that I purchase a pair of Comfy Shoulders silicone pads that should hopefully help with the issue. Lucky me, I got to spend even more money at the store. Fingers crossed the Comfy Shoulders work. Pretty sure I won't be a repeat customer at Blythe! read more

They have a great selection but buyer beware as Elizabeth stated. It is great to be professionally fitted for a bra but they do not measure and just start filling your dressing room with so many bras it's easy to be confused. The sales girls are very young and not at all what I experienced at a bra fitting at Neiman Marcus in NOVA. The woman was well trained, well spoken, well dressed and very professional. I purchased several bras but no panties and they lasted me for years. Neiman's runs a class operation and takes returns if you are not satisfied. Not so with Blythe!! The young woman who assisted me was pushing bras on me that I was not totally comfortable with but said they could be returned within 10 days so I returned the 2 that she picked because after getting them home I was not thrilled with the way they fit. I did purchase a bra that cost $120 and 6 pairs of panties in sale bin. When I returned the 2 bras I really had no intention of making another purchase but I said while she did my credit I would look around. I had a couple of bras that I wanted to try for size but again the young sales girl filled my room with more bras than I could try on. I purchased another one and 3 more sale panties that they reminded me were mine if I took them home...okay I understood that but they never mentioned since they considered the new bra I took home was considered an exchange and also a final sale. The fine print is so small at the bottom of their receipt and I did not consider it an exchange but a entirely new purchase. They would not return the second bra and told me it was mine. Instead of in small print that exchanges are final sale they should should state that YOU CAN RETURN ONCE BUT IF YOU EXCHANGE IT FOR ANOTHER PRODUCT IT IS A FINAL SALE. I, like Elizabeth, will never shop there again after spending a total of close to $400!! My friend was with me and has been in high profile retail positions all over the world could not believe the unprofessional personnel nor their POLICIES. It is clearly their loss!! read more

I first discovered Blythe about 1+1/2 years ago, and I really wish I had found it sooner. As a "curvaceous" woman in my 20s, I had struggled to find the right bra fit in something that made me feel pretty/sexy. I first went to Blythe simply to find out what size bra I should be wearing, since all the "experts" say every woman should be professionally fitted at least once. I'm used to being the big girl, who either just barely fits into the largest size a store has available or can't fit into anything at all. I was so ecstatic when I was able to walk away from Blythe with several properly fitted bras that looked nice. In fact, when I first walked in, I was able to look around a little while I waited for a fitting room and associate to be available. I fell in love with this one bra, and they had it in my size!! All of the associates I have dealt with since have been friendly, knowledgable, and provided excellent customer service. I have also been impressed that Blythe educates all purchasers how to care for their new garments in order to maintain them for as long as possible. I still have all of the pieces I bought at that first visit, and thanks to the advice I was given, all of them are still highly functional and attractive pieces of my wardrobe.I have also given gift certificates to the store to several of my friends, including a fairly small girl. All have been very pleased with their experiences. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful, and Blythe certainly strives to help that happen. read more

I saw a similar issue on another review. I purchased a $62 bra one evening and got help from a woman who was really trying to find a good fit/style for me. The other woman and I had a conversation about her pendant. All seemed good. But the fitting was rushed and this bra felt good in the store, but once home and tried on, it allowed me to jiggle when I walked. NOT office appropriate for me. I returned it but was told they could not take it back because I had cut one tag off that is on a skinny plastic thread. No signage anywhere, nothing noted on receipt and $62!! The only response from the gal at the register was, " I am sorry, but we are small and local and we have to assume you wore it when the tag is cut off." I was MORTIFIED. I don't have $62 to throw around much less lose and they wouldn't hear otherwise. To assume the customer did something underhanded was outrageous customer service to me. I worked for a local retail company and that would have NEVER happened to a customer. She then said, " Surely you could wear it with other things?" Really? Surely you and your small local business can afford to lose a customer, if not $62 for a bra return, which would have meant more business from me. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

I struggled for years with bras that were ill-fitting, even after having so-called "fittings" at department stores and Victoria's Secret. I shopped at Blythe once several years ago, and will never shop anywhere else for bras again. I don't even live in Virginia anymore but still shop there- they are only a few minutes off of I-95, so I stop by whenever I'm driving through. I just call ahead and they stock up a dressing room with tons of stuff in my size so it's ready when I get there. You can make an appointment, but I've never found that to be necessary. The service is unreal (an associate will stay outside your dressing room, bringing you new sizes, checking fit, etc). They have all sizes, even hard to find large cup with small band, and their bras are beautiful and sexy. It's so nice to find large sizes that don't look like something your grandma would wear (but they do have that stuff too should that be your preference). Some of their stuff is a bit pricier than most other places, but I promise you, it's worth it. read more

Worst experience ever. The return policy is the worst ever. I tried to return a bra that I wore around the house for one hour to see if it would be comfortable and it was not and tried to return it and they would not take it back. Still had tags attached but had one small deodorant smudge so they said no. I understand the return policy and that is what I didn't try to return the first bra because I actually wore that one to work and it was very uncomfortable so that is why I decided to try the other one at home for a hour. The bras are the most uncomfortable I have ever worn. It's definitely not the place for bigger cupped women. I will never go back and will tell everyone I talk to not to go there. Everything is alot more expensive then other places but decided to try it because they sell the larger cups. Very expensive lesson learned. Be careful if you shop here. The merchandise is lovely and high end. The service is inconsistent. and customer service is scarce. They will not accommodate changes to special requests or sizes very readily. I have purchased many pieces from them in the past. I have rarely returned any item. All of their customer purchases are entered into their computer database so they have ready access to customer history. Recently I purchased a bra that a sales assistant assured me was an identical size to my favorite one at home (same brand and style but different size letters). When I questioned her she assured me that the size was the same as the one I owned even though the cup letters were different. She confirmed this by viewing my past purchase in the computer. This made no sense to me but I relied on her expertise and purchased the bra. Later when I discovered at home that it was not the same cup size after all, the manager refused to make an exception to their 14 day return policy despite my request to just change the size to the correct one. And even after I pointed out that I had purchased the bra in the first place because the sales associate had given me information that in fact was incorrect. I know their return policy well and was beyond the 14 days but felt this deserved an exception. After all, I had no reason to return a bra I knew I would like and wasn't asking for money back but only the correct size bra. The manager quoted me the policy over and over again. A customer service opportunity was lost. I am now the owner of an expensive bra purchased on their advice that I am unable to wear. Therefore, my relationship with this store is now terminated. Nordstrom and Saks carry much of the same merchandise and they know how to deliver customer service. I cannot recommend this store to anyone. Go elsewhere. They are not the only retailers of beautiful lingerie. Shop where you will have great customer service. read more
