All of the equipment is modern and new. And they can handle any eye issue. It aint just eye glasses folks! The office is clean, organized and spacious. The staff is warm and caring. When it was time to pick out glasses for my son, they patiently helped him look at every single frame that interested him. They gave honest opinions, had great senses of humor, and made us feel comfortable. I never once felt rushed by them or got the impression that they were getting frustrated - even though I was getting a little frustrated. We actually shut the place down and they still stayed behind after hours while we continued to go through their frames. And they have a huge selection of many styles, designers, and prices. Can't say enough wonderful things about the doctors, staff, and office.

During a routine eye exam with Dr. Koster, I experienced concerning unprofessional behavior. When I mentioned having vision correction surgery 14 months prior in another country and asked about my current eye health, Dr. Koster immediately became dismissive, stating "you know, I don't do post op care for other people" and ended the appointment without answering any of my questions. By his logic, if his own patients move to another country, they would never be able to seek routine eye care from a local doctor. No surgeon, including himself I'm sure, provides post-op care indefinitely, especially for patients who relocate to a different country more than a year after their procedure. When I requested my exam results at the front desk (as none of my questions were answered), Dr. Koster followed me into the hallway and publicly berated me in front of staff and other patients, repeatedly yelling "WHY DID YOU GET SURGERY IN ANOTHER COUNTRY? WHY AREN'T YOU GOING TO THEM FOR FOLLOW UP? WHY DID YOU GET SURGERY IN A COUNTRY YOU DON'T LIVE IN? YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SURGERY WHERE YOU LIVE." His aggressive behavior and elevated tone made me extremely uncomfortable, especially as I was simply seeking a routine eye exam as a new patient. The level of hostility in his response was so disproportionate that I found myself wondering if his reaction was influenced by my age, gender, or ethnicity. I attempted to address this incident by contacting the office manager, Nicole, who apologized and offered to refer me to another doctor in the practice. However, my primary concern was Dr. Koster's unprofessional conduct, for which I never received acknowledgment or apology despite my attempts to resolve the matter privately. The practice's phone lines are managed by a shared services call center, making it extremely difficult to reach them directly. I ultimately decided not to pursue the matter further, but patients should be aware that they may encounter extremely unprofessional treatment at this practice. Patients deserve respectful and professional medical care regardless of their medical history or where they previously received treatment.

Needless to say my experience turned out very poorly! I am writing you to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the finished product & the treatment I received from "Hazel", the individual that performed the "work done" with the hopes you can help remedy this situation. Hazel arrived over an hour late, was rushed, and completely disconnected from the task at hand. Given this was my first time getting fillers it would've been helpful for Hazel to properly explain what to expect. More directly, she used one syringe and the bags were never removed. The area underneath my eyes looked worse - even after 2 weeks. I called several times to make a follow up appointment, & sent pictures. On the second visit I was treated with "radio frequency" and Hazel admitted that she should've used 2 syringes and threw away the remainder of the 1st syringe during the first visit. Another week passed, my eyes still bruised, and I decided to go back for a 3rd visit...to rectify this mess once and for all. Again, after I waited an hour and a half to meet with "Hazel" what I personally witnessed from "Hazel" (aside from whether the work was or wasn't performed correctly) was an utter lack of respect towards a customer. I respectfully expressed my displeasure politely and with legitimate concern ONLY. What I experienced back was language filled with passive aggression and insults. Hazel acted like trash. She was condescending, nasty, disrespectful, and petty. She wanted to go toe-to-toe with the customer instead of acting with empathy to try and alleviate my concerns. At times Hazel threw her hands up in the air with disgust, told me - SHE (Hazel) was unhappy, her time was being wasted, told me to "do whatever I want about complaining or another procedure" and could care less how I felt. I even said I would take my grievances online and to social media and I was told go do whatever. Never in all my years of visiting doctors offices have I seen a professional person act in such a disgraceful manner. I am informing everyone on Yelp because I cannot see how logical it would be for you a business owner in New York City to allow someone to represent their business in that manner. I was so unhappy with the whole experience, I went to another doctor and was told the glasses I had were too strong and wrong for the condition I had. I'm so grateful I went somewhere else after this experience instead of sticking with what he said. I have a weird crease near my left eye, and when I smile, the corner stitches have healed in a way that actually deepens my crows' feet lines and scrunches up in this weird, almost deformed way. I can't even look at pictures of myself smiling. Overall, I'm so disappointed and wish I'd gone with someone else.
