Yes, it made ordering quicker and easier, however it doesn't have an accurate record of what is in stock... I ordered a latte as well as a chocolate croissant, and was very unhappy to be told that they were out of chocolate croissants AFTER I had already paid... I was handed a plain croissant instead and was not given the option to exchange it or choose to bypass it for a refund instead. This was a bummer. Otherwise, their coffee was really good! I'm very picky with how I like my coffee, so this says a lot. It's actually rare in NYC to find a café that provides space for customers to sit and use the restroom, so that was a nice perk. The staff were kind and quick. This spot leans toward simplicity with very basic coffee and espresso drinks rather than elaborate or overly sweet options. I didn't mind my iced latte, though the espresso flavor wasn't my personal favorite, but it was still decent. My partner was disappointed with the lack of flavor/sweetness after adding their honey cinnamon syrup. Pastries and food items look great, did didn't try yet. I was very disappointed with my experience here. I ordered an avocado toast and a coffee and ended up waiting around twenty minutes, even though the place was relatively empty at the time. For a café that positions itself as a casual but efficient spot, this wait time felt excessive and poorly managed. The seating situation is also not great. There are very few places to sit, which already makes the experience less comfortable, especially when you are waiting that long for a simple order. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for it at all. This was honestly the worst avocado toast I have ever had. It was just stale bread topped with basic guacamole and spicy oil, with no freshness, no balance, and no effort put into it. For the price, this is simply unacceptable. The coffee was good, but nothing exceptional. It was a solid espresso, but it is also quite hard to mess that up, so it did not really stand out or justify the overall experience. Everything felt overpriced for what was served. In the end, I paid close to thirty dollars including tip, which makes the disappointment even stronger. For that price point, I expect decent food, reasonable waiting times, and a minimum level of comfort. Unfortunately, this visit did not deliver on any of that, and I would not come back. read more

Visited this location on a weekend, so it was fairly empty and we had no issues finding seats. Ordered on the tablet, and drinks were ready quickly. I got the iced strawberry matcha, which comes with almond milk and homemade strawberry syrup. It was okay, less strawberry syrup than some other places. Not my first choice for matcha in this immediate area, but it's often hard to find seating at that place. I do like that they give Tim Tams out with the coffee here. read more

The place is clean but not too well thought of. The seating space is too close to the register area. I feel that maybe some coffee decor/products for sale should be relocated and push that table back. The layout just doesn't make much sense. The service is decent for the most part. I walked in and one person seemed like she was absolutely miserable. I had asked if my pick up order was ready and she even mugged me. I don't get why. Then another associate saw this and came towards me right away to assist me. Once I picked up my order I realized that I had a birthday treat on the rewards section of the app. The cashier took my order and even gave me an extra pastry at no extra cost. The parties were delicious. I had got the almond croissant and chocolate one for my daughter. I was happy to receive them as they were so good and not dry. After a red eye and long travel, the first thing we craved was coffee. Being familiar with Bluestone Lane beans, as one we enjoyed thanks to shipping, we located this one near our hotel and went right over. The facade was under construction, but the interior was very nice if a little uncomfortable with hard stools. They had one table outside, so to enjoy the fresh air we went there. The place had a constant stream of customers who seemed like they worked nearby. Staff was friendly and welcoming to explain the menu. We got various coffees, two salads, and some pastries. Everything was fresh and delicious - I realized quickly how much I miss East Coast produce. Prices were expected for the heart of NYC. This was a high mark for our coffee stops in the city; it's worth stopping in for an affordable and delicious quick meal, drink, or snack. read more

I wanted to try this place because it was listed to have gluten-free treats and I was in the area. Unfortunately they only had banana bread and I wasn't feeling it. I ordered a Salmon toast on gluten free bread. It was delicious! The bread was not grocery store freezer aisle bread like in many places. The cream cheese was delicious. The salmon however was not enough but for the price that's minor. I also had a hibiscus tea it was tea nothing special. The person at the register was helpful and knew the menu and made great recommendations and gave out nice compliments. It's a cute place to come sit and maybe people watch and have a snack! The coffee might be phenomenal here, but I will never know. Midtown workday morning in a busy location, only two people on staff. While the touchscreen POS in store is simple and elegant, its line grew exponentially as 1/2 staff simultaneously took old school cashier orders. The one remaining poor barista couldn't possibly keep pace. After 20min, the man who came in just before I did asked for his money back. His situation took time to discuss with that same 1/2 staff, I don't know whether his case was resolved. I couldn't stand the wait any longer and so left. I'm still dreaming of the latte thatI forwent. Got a drip coffee down the street, which was mediocre but timely. I gave them 3 stars. read more

We would have been better off going to an actual brunch place, where we would have paid the same amount of money for better food. I appreciated the kiosks to order food, which provided images of our options. Unfortunately, there were a lack of food options to entertain us, but I was still able to become excited for my smoked salmon toast with a latte. The photos were very misleading as to what we actually received. My small piece of toast was barely covered with thin slices of smoked salmon and the poached egg, was the smallest egg I have ever seen. Although I will admit that the egg was perfectly poached. I have gone to Bluestone Lane infrequently for about six years. I like their Astor Place location and also the LES spot that is now closed. I think their coffee is generally excellent. This location makes me wonder whether Bluestone is in decline. The space is genuinely lovely, the baked item I had was flavorful, and the guy who took my order was basically friendly and seemed to care. The rest of the staff appear disorganized and disinterested. The scent of the floor cleaner they were mopping with was strong enough that it would overpower or erase the experience of tasting the food. I waited 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich that never came. It's strange to go to the trouble of making an inviting environment where people can sit down but then destroy the experience of sitting there - Bluestone Lane is not alone in NYC for this. I would give one star, but the coffee was strong, and the guy at the register seemed to care. With a tip I spent close to $30. Probably my last time at this one. read more

My partner took me here after he shared just how much he loved the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. I got the same order as him, along with a regular latte with whole milk. The coffee was absolutely fantastic but I thought the sandwich was nothing special. I could've made the same thing back home with Costco croissants. There was too much bacon and egg, and not enough cheese which was sad. One thing I do applaud is that they used real eggs instead of the carton scrambled eggs, which I absolutely despise. Overall, between the two of us, the order included two of the sandwiches, a medium latte, and a large cold brew and cost ~$40, which was ridiculous. I'm going to stick to a bagel place for a sandwich next time and just come by here for coffee. read more

This is such a cute and lowkey cafe! If I had had the time, I would've loved to come here and study. My boyfriend ordered the Aussie iced latte and I got a vanilla iced latte. Both had a very strong coffee flavor. I thought mine was okay; I enjoyed my boyfriend's drink a bit more since it was sweeter and creamier. We also got the banana bread. It doesn't look like much but it is super dense and flavorful! It was different from any banana bread I've ever tasted. I have never written a bad review on here but this place has the rudest and slowest employees especially Friday mornings!! If you're going to work and can't wait more than 15 minutes I don't recommend here. There were three customers on the store and it took them around 23 minutes to prepare my black coffee and plain croissant. I also had to remind them to give me the croissant. They don't even look at your face and act like their work is a chore. I've been to their other locations and I've never had a problem. I guess it's just this location that sucks read more
